Lovely little hidden away gem the only things I can say is the wine is very over priced and the fillet steak is just not a fillet it’s tough and I have it rare and this I could not chew! A la carte food it’s not but it’s a nice settling and a good sized restaurant. Not bad just needs a little more concentration on the menu I feel, appreciated it’s Covid but could be a little more using local produce etc for the price.

Our meal here was lovely. We were made very welcome and had a nice table by the window. The wine list was good and reasonably priced. The menu has a range of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes. I had trouble selecting a starter as there were several that sounded delicious. In the end I chose the belly of pork and it was great. My friends all enjoyed their choices too. I chose lamb for my main course and again it was lovely. Two of our group had the halibut and also commented how nice it was. A small dessert range but again beautifully served.I would definitely go back to this restaurant.

We are so disappointed that we don't live closer to Findon because we would love this to be a regular treat. It was definitely one of the best three meals I have ever had and the staff are so lovely and service was spot-on.

Really great service & food. Shame that we were overcharged for 3 courses when we both only had two,

We have eaten at the Sylvan Oak a couple of times previously, notably last August when we had a very good meal, we could not fault the meal on this occasion top notch. However we went here for my wife's birthday with friends and we were very disappointed. Two of us had for starters the Scallops,Lobster & Caviar Lasagne with Lobster Bisque, this dish lacked real flavor and the pasta was simply not good, the menu says Scallops yet you get one! mmm sorry this dish was not good. I had the lamb rump, what I had was OK, but the portion size was poor, and the vegetable were all diced up very small, I have not had vegetables like this since I was a child, sorry this dish was lacking class. My friend had the deer, well I thought I was short changed, he had very little in the way of meat, and again not that well presented. Our ladies both had halibut, clearly the better choice. But overall we left feeling this was an expensive poor meal, and not good value for money.

We booked a pre Christmas evening meal for four, and what a fabulous culinary experience we encountered. As two of our party are vegetarians, we were a little apprehensive as we had not seen the menu prior to booking. However our concerns were rightfully put aside!Whilst perusing the menu we enjoyed a local sparkling wine from the wiston estate ( just outside of Steyning)crisp cold and dry, a worthy champagne beater! We ordered our starters and mains whilst warm rolls and olives with oil were served.Four different starters all exceptional, the mushroom gateaux was a just amazing!,as was the scallops and vegetarian tartlet. The wine list is fascinating, with wines that are rarely seen in restaurants, I must say the Turkish wine we chose was excellent, and must return to sample more from the list. Our mains came, beautifully presented ( Michelin star, we feel) and all delicious, the partridge with black pudding, celeriac lasagne & venison all gladly received. Can we manage a pudding? Well it would be rude not too! So to finish our evening we had scrumptious apple tart and a trifle that in our companion’s opinion was the best ever eaten. We give thanks and wishing the chefs and staff a happy new year!, one in which we will return!

Excellent and friendly service, the halibut with beans and red onions melted in the mouth, we even tried discreetly to ask for the recipe but they would not give that out.

My wife and I dined at this very cosy restaurant in the centre of Findon village, well known locally for its quality of specialities and seasonal food. There isn't a huge choice on the menu but caters for most palates and is presented beautifully and courteously. The owner and all staff are welcoming and friendly, looking after all your needs during your visit.

We have been to Sylvan Oak before and it was so good we went back. As a group of 9 the service was attentive and courteous and efficient. Sinan is an excellent host providing a menu to suit those who like to try something new and different, or traditional foods. His chefs work hard to accommodate any dietary requirements. An excellent meal in a lovely village. Priced well.

Visited for breakfast whilst staying overnight in Worthing. Very friendly staff and delicious food! Excellent coffee too. I had the Herbivore breakfast which even as a non vegetarian I can highly recommend!

The problem with this place is the manager. My friend has Parkinsons disease which makes speech very difficult. She was told by the manager to get out because she was drunk. She only drinks Coke. She was in tears and I gave the manager a piece of my mind. The manager insulted my other friend saying he is too fat, and banned him saying he didn't want him here. He patronises customers, saying that you have to sit here, insulting them by pointing at tables. His pizzas are small thin and inconsequential at an enourmous price, over £20. The manager is stark raving mad, charging up and down the tiny seating area talking to himself and making hand signs. This guy is a bully to his young staff who are amazing in their manners and attentiveness. Many customers complain, but are ignored because that guy is arrogant. there are many pizza places in the area where you will get friendlier and more respectful service.

Ordered online and didn’t receive our duck sushi. Initially made out we were lying and then insinuated it might have been the uber driver. We were told they would call us back but just got a voicemail eventually saying to speak to uber. Shame as I was looking forward to eating here. The food itself was underwhelming.. pad Thai was decent (hence the extra star) but everything was cold, small portion size on the fried chicken and this and the gyoza were very soggy.

Had their chicken bacon and water cress filling in a soft roll, what an amazing flavour profile. I’ve never seen that combo before and it was amazing. Staff were super friendly, it gave me a great start to the day. Highly highly recommend.
