Rise cafe in Worthing

What an amazing cafe! We were lucky enough to have our Mother’s Day brunch there today, and despite us being a bit of a tricky bunch with 2 vegans and one gluten free, the staff were fantastic, so helpful and accommodating, and the service, food and drinks were all delicious. Thank you so much.

Went for an anniversary brunch with my partner and Rise was perfect. The food was delicious in every aspect, perfectly cooked and the brownies were the perfect addition. The waitress serving us was so polite and smiley and delivered great customer service. You could tell everyone in there thought the same. Will definitely be visiting again!

What a find! Pretty cafe, great atmosphere, coffee was delicious as was my hot chocolate! I had a tuna jacket which was divine and the side salad was a dish in itself, fresh and honestly one of nicest salads I’ve had. My partner had waffles which were delicious, great portions, well presented. Overall 10/10 Strong recommend Will be back very soon!

1st time visited this cafe since they have changed ownership, have driven pass it and it's always full of diners, and always a good sign. This place is nicely decorated and furnished, and it is spotlessly clean. Both waitress and chef were very friendly, polite and professional, made our visit a very enjoyable experience with our dog. Food were amazing, beautiful presented, big portion, freshly cooked to perfection, and pricing are very reasonable, most places the tea or coffee are not included, but here drinks are included in the 3 breakfast items on the menu. Clearly a lot of good quality ingredients being used, so I would highly recommended this place, it has quality and quantity at decent prices. It is 1 of the BEST in Worthing. Also no parking restrictions between 11am to 2pm on the side road nearby.

Small café with a quiet cosy atmosphere, surprising for a Saturday as most tables had customers sat at them yet it was still very quiet. Pricing for the breakfast and bacon sandwich was good, it took about half hour for our food to come out, a breakfast and a bacon sandwich, presume they cook orders one at a time rather than multiples, but must say the breakfast was lovely and worth the wait. Bacon was nice and thick and sausage tasted amazing. A few constructive criticism's. Would have been nice to have some paper napkins at the table. Our Pot of Tea we ordered was only half full of water yet had 2 tea bags in. Also we needed go up to the counter to get a refill of the miniature milk jug as that too was only served half full? Overall experience was good, a lovely tasting breakfast and sandwich, friendly service and good prices. Parking on the nearby streets is between certain hours. Recommended!

If I opened a cafe, this is how I would have it. It was atmospheric. Warm, welcoming and not too noisy. The food was delicious, I had the big breakfast and the price was reasonable for the amount of food and the fact that it came with a tea (a nice tea, I would guess a twinings breakfast or similar) the staff provided our slightly restless children with some paper and crayons which we all appreciated. I rarely give such high ratings for a cafe but even the kids menu impressed us. My children both got a picky lunch and it went down very well, and they are quite fussy. I almost don't want to reccomend in case it fills up to much for me to enjoy getting a table again. But I'll reccomend it anyway. Definitely not pretentious or cheap quality.

My wife and I had a nice breakfast at this place. The place is one of the best in Worthing for having a coffee and a meal. The place is very clean, looking lovely with a calming and relaxing atmosphere. The staff is friendly and eager to help but a bit inexperienced, a bit of training would definitely improve the place. The food is good but a bit too greasy for my taste, cutting down the lipids and adding a bit more fibre on the plate would definitely help. I still enjoyed it and considered it delicious. I am definitely recommending this place and we are looking forward to visit again

This place punches well above its weight. The food is excellent quality. The service is super friendly and it has an excellent vibe. I’ve taken many work friends there recently and they’ve all start using it as their default breakfast destination. Can get very busy but that’s because it’s fantastic. For the quality, I’m actually surprised they don’t charge more. Whoever’s behind this cafe can feel very proud of themselves. Rob W.

The food was great. The service was great. The only down side was the tables are set out for four people but when you have four meals and four coffees, it's a bit of a squeeze.

I've only been in once. Waited 30 mins for a fry up. Not the end of the world but would have been nice had I been warned. Fried eggs hard. May have been unlucky.

Absolutely fantastic full English indeed. The owner is very meticulous and attentive to detail, food lay out on the plate I preferred over all the other cafes I have been to. Friendly atmosphere and friendly staff. I will be back for more food for sure

Fantastic place , these ladies can’t do enough for you , food is top tier…

We visited the cafe for breakfast at 8:30 in the morning, the cafe is cute, small, there are tables outside, clean, which is very important for me, calm music is playing. The order was quickly accepted and prepared. There is a selection of coffee and pastries. We ordered a vegetarian breakfast, a scramble with smoked salmon, tea and coffee with oat milk. Good presentation, dishes. I recommend

Rise cafe is a gem of a cafe. And we're so lucky to have it so close. Personally, we've indulged in their cooked breakfasts and iced coffees. (Brekky is available tues- sun). The lunches and proper meals have been very tempting, though. The staff at Rise are absolutely lovely and incredibly helpful

Loved going here went recently sat down ordered had a coffee then 30 mins later was told the table of 8 next to us which weren't there yet was having there food cooked first b4 us and they haven't even started our food , the craziness of this Is confusing to say the least I need to go back to work , what a waste of my time , first in should be cooked for , can't see us going back

Amazing full English breakfast. Great service and a nice atmosphere. Probably the cheapest cafe around, but also the best food. Great value. Would highly recommend you go 😀

The 2 girls serving us this morning were so lovely and nice I can’t put into words we all left laughing and smiling the customer service is beyond amazing and I would 100% recommend having lunch here. We had a beef special and some breakfast food all were so delicious. All 3 of us had breakfast and drinks and it only came to £32 so less then £11 each !!

You can tell a cafe by its sausages… these are the best I’ve had!! :) honestly the food is spectacular, not a greasy spoon at all!! Quality ingredients, lovely staff! Great great place … I can’t recommend highly enough!

After a discussion with the waitress, we plumped for a very keto friend Brunch. I was well pleased in fact I was blown away, I can’t get this choice in Brighton

Food is on point: delicious. Service is amazing and staff very friendly and accommodating. Lovely atmosphere with plenty of light. I find myself going here more and more often. What more could you want :) Also they use earth 🌎 friendly cleaning products 🤘

What a little gem of a café Only a small place, but a varied menu, gives plenty of choice including veggie options. The food is really tasty and good quality. The welcome is warm and genuine. Wishing you all the luck in the world, the area needs somewhere like this.

As always a pleasure to go to Rise Cafe, Milly (who is not allowed to leave) is lovely, polite and friendly, Service by Lily was timely and efficient, Becky (sorry if name wrong,)(today's chef) got my food perfect, crispy bacon and gorgeous chips. I can't remember when I've spent such a lovely hour or so, passing time in good company, lovely surroundings and a great atmosphere. I'll be back in soon. Thank you girls. Jules xx

Joke!!!!! 6 customers inside; half of the tables empty; 3 women working in the kitchen. The rude and grumpy cashier refused to serve our group of 6 for breakfast saying it’s too much work for the kitchen!!!! We said we don't mind waiting but she said we need to call and order in advance. Definitely will not be visiting again. I wonder how the business owner feels about losing business due to 3 lazy staff who can’t be bothered to cook bog standard english breakfast for a group of 6. Might as well get rid of half the tables!!

This is one of the best cafes in Worthing. I regret I didn’t discover this chilled oasis of delicious and nutritious food earlier. Dishes are prepared with love, care and with the freshest ingredients. The staff is extraordinary, all girls are so friendly and caring. Dog friendly place too. Love it here.

I've been coming to this beautiful little cafe for about 2 years now. every time I come here,, the food is absolutely excellent and fresh. Laura the owner is an absolute legend in her kitchen, the care of the food is extremely exquisite and the presentation is of the top quality. The staff are very passionate and polite and friendly, the girls make an enjoyable atmosphere to eat or drink. I would highly recommend this cafe to everyone and anyone who wants to eat in worthing area, this cafe is without a doubt the best cafe in worthing.. The home made cakes are absolutely amazing, the menu is excellent and the cafe caters for every kind of food allergy, overall the cafe and staff deserve a high quality rating. Delicious! Definitely worth the trip. Edit: name change confused me, but the food is still brilliant. I'd like to see 'The Triple' on the specials, one of each Eggs: Benedict, Florentine, Royale.

What a lovely little cafe, a true hidden gem. The food is good quality, presented well and tastes great. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, even if you are as ugly as me! 😁 Update. This is now my favourite cafe in the area. Food is always to a high standard.

Only 2 people work here, so everything takes ages to happen. We got moaned at by the staff because there was 6 of us.... Your food is good quality and well presented, just get someone else to helping in the kitchen.

Great place for a full English in East Worthing!

The service was really bad. The 3 girls working in there were all just laughing getting their phones out etc. It was a very unprofessional atmosphere! I also had either a hair or a bit of an eyelash extension in my food (The girl cooking had lash extensions). I didn’t bother to say anything though because of how they were acting, it made me feel uncomfortable. The food wasn’t awful but not amazing. Would not go again.

Wonderful little spot for great home cooked food. The breakfast is unreal, the coffees delicious, the cakes are all incredible, and the staff are all super lovely. It's my favourite spot to eat in Worthing when I take my daughter to the beach.

Gorgeous little cafe serving real food that is made with love. Service was speedy, prices are fantastic, and staff are wonderful. A real gem of a place. We’ve must return to sample the deserts, which sounded mouth-wateringly good!

Lovely atmosphere and amazing food! We've been to Rise a couple of times now, the latest over the weekend with family and every time we've been it's been lovely! The food is clearly made with love because it is consistently delicious, and the staff are always friendly and attentive. Great food, lovely atmosphere, Highly recommend!

Perfection in every way. Beautifully cooked food, well presented, lovely friendly servers. Reasonably priced too.

It was busy but despite that, our food came out within 10 minutes, piping hot and absolutely perfect. It was a tricky order too, everyone had something different plus drinks were out of the ordinary but no mistakes and both ladies were great. We will be back xx

Nice little cafe, food was great. Only issue I had was that the main door does not close on its own so had to deal with a draft but that was solved by moving to a different table. Would recommend going again for lunch.

Visited Val’s cafe on 3 or 4 occasions whilst working down in Worthing. Each & every time we enjoyed delicious food, great coffee and a very warm welcome. A great place which totally deserves a visit if you fancy a good traditional English Cafe. Thank you all at Val’s!! Sausages are amazing 🤩

Best Café I've been to in a long time! My 3 brothers in law had the larger versions of the cooked breakfasts, which were very nice. I had the Egg's Royal, and that was fantastic 👌🏻💯 Good service, not expensive and great food and will definitely be returning 😋

I had the eggs Benedict. Perfectly poached eggs atop a muffin and good ham, all topped with hollandaise and an extra twist.

Great food and a welcoming smile! Three ladies changed my grumpy disposition with some lovely food and happy smiley team at Val’s Cafe. Unlike the usual breakfast café of staled oil, sticky tables and cheap ingredients is replaced by Val’s cafe with bright fresh painted walls, little flowers on the table, spotless tables and chairs and fresh environment. Had a great, all-day breakfast, perfectly presented with options and the best sausages and bacon have had at a cafe! Not one of these fatty, over-priced, greasy cafe food places around, so it’s refreshing that Val’s Cafe was great value at £8 ish inc tea and toast. I would highly recommend to go there and I will be back and that’s the point isn’t it? 🤣

Food quality is great, cannot fault, if that's what you're after and you don't mind where it's located then I would have given it five stars; however I would of plopped vals a little closer to the seafront and town centre, with a bigger inside and better quality tables to sit on outside. Brilliant food, brilliant hostess, unsure about the dining experience! But hey, I left with a nice belly :)

Needed somewhere to stop whilst car was getting serviced. Reluctantly going into what I thought was going to be a greasy spoon. It was far from it! I only stopped for a drink but the breakfasts looked delicious, customers polishing off their plates - all at a really reasonable price too! And the team were super friendly! M

Where do I start... I only randomly came across this Cafe through a search via Google maps. I'm not local, I was looking for an area Atkins Worthing where I can use their facilities to undertake a staff catch I manage around these areas. When I contacted and spoken to the staff member to discuss my needs. He was very accommodating. On arrival they had the table reserved for me with a power supply for my laptop. I had a Mocha which was very well presented, shame I forgot to take a photo of it. I was here for several hours, and the staff were very accommodating throughout. Later in the afternoon, I ordered a Jacket, Cheese, Beans with Mushrooms which included Salads. I was rather surprised and taken by their salad. It was not the usual just chopped up standard salad, it was well seasoned with the unusual ingredients. It went down a treat along with the Jacket potato. I would highly recommend this cafe, the prices I found were quite reasonably cheap in my opinion. And if I were to visit this area in future, I would certainly look to stop by here again!

Nice little cafe with some cool decor. Friendly staff and a nice cup of coffee. The breakfast was pretty good, but definitely needs a better sausage.

Such a lovely place! I went for lunch with my daughter after a stroll along the seafront and had a wonderful time with delicious food and lovely company. The staff are so friendly and the chef is out of this world. It left me with a massive smile on my face. I'll be back soon for sure ☺️
