Got all the way home to find we didn't have the burger for the texas bbq meal, so literally got an over priced portion of chips. By the time we had realised it was 10 minets till close, and we are a 15 minute drive away.

I have never had a bad meal from here, perfect takeaway for those lazy evenings!

Best fish and chips in Worthing. I've tried a few since moving up from Portsmouth and this is my favourite. Lovely, friendly service. Handy co op across the road (I think they only take cash at the chippy so the cash point comes in handy) for pop and bread for chip butties. Recommended.

Customer service excell.....it won't let me write excellent properly but it has now! Great coffee.

I waited 25 minutes just for a sausage and chips to be cooked. More batter than sausage, staff more intent on getting couriers served than customers.

After reading good reviews, I was very disappointed. Good portion, but fish very bland, and chips very oven like. I shall be returning to the chip shop, boxgrove, far better, and £1:10 cheaper.

Last time we brought from here it was love but this last time most went in the bin fish was nice chips were not

I ordered for my family , everything OK apart from the battered sausage was very dry and looked over done or looked as so it had sat there under warmer for too long. Not edible Would be nice if these were cooked from fresh as u place the order

Truly a business who cares. We order almost weekly for gluten free cod and chips. Always lovely. I don't write reviews normally but in this instance it is important. My husband had poor fish 2 weeks ago. I rang and was told they had tried a new supplier and would give us both free food the next time we ordered. When I phoned they remembered me and the meal was up to their usual exceptional standard. A little, personal note was included thanking us for our understanding and hoping we had a lovely meal...we did! In a modern world of anonymity and couldn't care less attitude, thank you so much for your old fashioned values of customer care and pride in your work.

After MANY MANY great take-outs from Strand Fish & Chips I thought it was time to sing their praises and give them a top review. I don't know exactly what they do to their chips BUT these chips will not be beaten by anyone. A great varied menu with plenty of choice for normal and veggies (not that veggies aren't normal!). Used to order vis Deliveroo but now collect as it was over £8 cheaper when ordering direct for 3 people (this is of course not the fault of the restaurant but due to the excessive charges from food delivery apps). We will be back soon (far too many times I am sure!!)

Wanna thank the staff for looking out for us as we ordered by deliveroo just an hour ago and we didn’t realise we didn’t order chips with our fish and so this place called us to let us know so we tried to order chips on deliveroo that turned out to be £8.35 for a single portion of chips (deliveroo charge small deliveries and normal delivery charges) so we called up this place again to tell them not to worry about the chips as deliveroo charged an arm and a let for it so we didn’t mind but we ended up receiving our food with a lovely portion of chips on the house. The fish was lovely and so were the chippies!!! Thank you so much for you’re lovely service and kind gesture. We’ve learnt from our mistakes and will happily return :) ❤️

Absolutely great, the best fish and chip shop we’ve used for a long time. Great quality at sensible prices. The menu is large and varied with great gluten free choices. The restaurant is nice with old fashioned style and good service. Highly recommended.

This is my favourite take away. The staff are always friendly and provide a really good atmosphere, even when it's really busy. The food is amazing and whenever I have family down, they are surprised saying it's "the best fish and chips they've had". I now come here a lot and the food is always perfect.

Oh my lord. Just had a takeaway for the first time since the pandemic started. I missed strands fish and chips so much. They have the best fish and chips in Worthing in my opinion. It was so good. Had medium cod and chips with salt and vinegar on the chips and it was just ... Hmm perfect. Crispy, not soggy, not greasy and just hmmm yummy. I ordered online and arranged to pick it up outside the restaurant which I love too. Well done strand!! I was so pleased to see the signs out he window outside requesting a mask to be worn and distancing and about their pick up policy. Love it.

This is a wonderful fish and chip shop. The food is always fresh and there is an incredible choice. The chips are some of the best we’ve had and the fish is excellent too. No matter how large the order, delivery speed and quality is outstanding. On a personal note, delivery by whom I think is the owner, is also outstanding. During our Mum’s terminal illness, he was so kind and lovely to us. We’ll always return and recommend the Strand Fish and Chips unreservedly. Thanks to all the staff.

Been here before and had wonderful service and fantastic takeaway fish and chips. Today, there were what appeared to be two layers of over over cooked batter - dark and very hard. The fish itself was very dry and rubbery like it had been cooked twice. Looking for another fish and chip shop now 🙁

Nassar and his team are always friendly and helpful. They cater for Gluten free diets. The shop is always clean and bright. I recomend this shop to everyone.

Visited The Strand Fish and Chip shop while in Worthing and we were really impressed with the quality of the fish and chips. The fish wasn't greasy (like it is elsewhere) and the batter nice and crispy. Also the chips tasted fresh (unlike many other places). We realised just how bad our local chip was by comparison and now drive five miles out of our way to buy from this excellent establishment. They have an excellent menu and friendly staff - you won't regret eating here!

Wife and I normally get fish and chips from another (unnamed) source. Tried The Strand Fish & Chips for the frist time and realised how their food is much tastier, fresher, and less oily with crispier batter. We'll now be getting our fish and chips here. You won't be disappointed.

It was my birthday 🎂 yesterday and my request was a day at West worthing Beach (nice and quiet) and fish and chips on my lap watching the tide come in....so both happened....we had to Google a fish and chip shop and came across this little gem......I LOVED it and other half equally impressed....he even ate the batter which I've never seem him do....large haddock and reg chips for me (fish was not "woolly "..firm creamy flakes ......he had a large local caught Huss....and reg chips...i had the perfect simple day and my experience of this fish and chip shop made it the icing on the cake....ill forgive the lack of gravy ....so had a pickled onion ....Joy x x thank you Strand Fish and chips for making my 52 birthday complete ....im.now nursing a little sunburn 😬

Very helpful with Gluten free options. Which my family need. But have also had several standard food to. Burgers pretty good. Wraps not bad at all. Cheesy chips are awesome. Fish can't fault it. Service is always good. Quite often have great sweet stuff too. Update June 2020 Just had tikka wrap, AMAZING, so tasty, just the right amount of spice. Will be having again and again.

We don’t often get fish and chips because our son is coeliac and it’s not always easy to find gluten free fish and chip, but this was brilliant. Ordered online and picked up later to take to the beach. Lovely crunchy batter on our cod. Good gluten free choices including fish goujons, fish cakes and pea fritters. All chips gluten free too. We will definitely return on day trips to the beach.

Saveloys are usually pink inside, this was brown and dry and tasted revolting🤮 We got a large portion of chips to share, £2.40 They use the poly trays and there was no way it was a large portion. Usually a large portion is more than plenty for two people, this was barely a medium portion. Totally disgusted and will never return!

Got dinner from here, fish, saveloy, large chips and curry sauce. The saveloy was brown inside and dry, tasted nothing like a saveloy. Was so disgusting I couldn’t eat it. The large portion of chips which cost £2.40 was barely a medium portion, certainly not enough for two people. We usually share a medium portion elsewhere and have plenty. Totally disgusted with it and will never go back. Certainly do not recommend this place.
