The best restaurants in Eton and Castle Windsor and Maidenhead South East

Awesome. Sat outside in the sun enjoying the coffee and a custard filled croissant. I love my coffee and indeed this sings from heaven. The devil is in the details and they know how to make fantastic coffee. The croissant beautifully light and sweet. The staff equally so

I highly recommend. Today I was at breakfast with my family. Very nice and fast service. Delicious, tasty breakfast and coffee. The boss Tomasz and his wife Iwonka are very nice people. We will visit this place more than once and I recommend this place to all of you 👍👌☕️🥰

Average sandwiches, untidy restaurant and fairly slow service. A rare TripAdvisor miss. We were underwhelmed. Very very tiny.

I was cycling from London to Bath along the Thames path. Stopped for lunch in Eton. Fantastic service, food and experience. So helpful. Delicious food and drinks. Wonderful.

Came here last Thursday with a friend. The restaurant is easy enough to find (almost opposite the castle), and near a couple of the central Windsor car parks (though these charge at least £10 for a 2 hour stay!) The atmosphere was fairly muted with only 3 other tables sat at, but we were greeted on arrival and the service was polite, attentive and friendly throughout. Foodwise, I felt this was excellent. My friend and I shared a meat platter which was plentiful, and beautifully cooked. Cant fault the experience here, would like to come back on a busier night with a bigger party.

FOOD POISONING!, went there for a celebration, i had two seafood dishes , following morning suffered from severe food poisoning causing huge embarrassment on a walking trip.. Gilbeys tell me there was nothing wrong with their food and were not the slightest bit sympathetic.. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

What an amazing time we had here. The food was great and the staff were so friendly. We spoke to this one lovely lady called Katy and she was so fun and chatty and the family had a great time.

In my experience you can't go wrong with this restaurant chain ... and we weren't disappointed. Food was excellent and only surpassed by the service. Juan was our waiter and made our experience even better. Thanks to all.

We arrived without a booking and were seated quickly. Our young water was professional, helpful and provided helpful advise on the various dishes. The chicken dish we had was amazing, the meat was so tender and tasty and the sauce amazing. The nan was delicious. We are looking forward to returning and it's The restaurant is decorated really well. I believe it's recognised as one of the UK’s top 100 restaurants at the Asian Catering Federation Awards 2024 and the restaurant’s chef of 13 years Vishal Verma also won best chef in the south-east, in an awards ceremony at the House of Lords this month presented by BBC anchor Samantha Simmonds.

Staying in Eton for one night, we wanted a good local restaurant. Golden Curry was a great find - it came recommended by TripAdvisor. We ate delicious food and had a truly wonderful time talking to the owner operator Saiful. The papadums and sauces were yummy - somehow I’d never heard of them before. The naan was piping hot and mouth-watering fresh. And our main courses were great; I had the chicken tikka masala (very good) and my wife had the golden curry special (even better!) Lucky for us, we were there on a Sunday night during Eton’s spring break so Saiful showed us a few cards tricks - amazingly good! Thank you, Saiful and we wish you and your team continued success.

Visiting Windsor for a wedding and we dined here. The staff are so friendly and accommodating and went out their way to make our visit special. We had a table for 16 inside but also had the option to sit outside overlooking the Thames. The food was excellent. For starters I had scallops which were cooked perfectly followed by Lamb Shoulder with vegetables and mash. Overall a very pleasant visit and a place we will come back to hopefully soon.

Great quality food. Great smash burgers. From the US and highly recommend the burgers and that’s say something. Will be back when I return to the UK
