This place had the best Indian food of any we went to on our vacation. It's fantastically inventive. The menu is a perfect mix of classic Indian food comfort dishes and really interesting approaches and flavor combinations we'd never seen before. The menu has information about spice levels, but they don't do that cheesy thing where they adjust the spice on order - the chef has developed appropriate spice levels for each dish and you can trust that they work.

I am reviewing the takeaway so cannot comment on drinks / service / ambience etc. Food containers were helpfully labelled to highlight any potential allergens. Without the theatre of presentation to hoodwink us…this meal was costly, biryani was bright yellow and had a strong aftertaste (?burnt onion), while the rice felt slightly hard and undercooked. I wasn’t convinced the rice was not old and stale which could be to do with the quality of the rice. Along with bright green chicken, and heavy, lumpy naan breads, I’m afraid I don’t believe this is worth the money. Classy Indian food has moved on from the bright colours of the 70s & 80s, Mango Lounge appears not to have noticed. The food was not appreciated by our visitors from Singapore either.

This was our 3rd time in the Mango Lounge since 2015 (we eat there when we’re on a boating holiday on the Thames) & as always the food was absolutely incredible

Had dinner here on Friday 12th and it was delicious. Service was very good and staff very attentive. Restaurant was very clean and we had no issues at all. Will definitely eat here again when next in Windsor. Date of visit: July 2024

We are visited this week on the expectation it was fine dining and gourmet quality food based on the images and price on the menu. Unfortunately this is not the case, this is a standard Indian cuisine restaurant like any other, whilst it’s in a lovely location the venue is run down. The food is very over priced with starters averaging £15 and it comes out like any standard take away. Be sure to manage expectations before visiting, nothing special or gourmet about this restaurant.

Amazing as always, wonderful food and the staff are lovely as well, our number 1 go to, coconut prawns are to die for washes down with a warm cherry brandy

Just let me say this was the first time we ate Indian food in the UK, and it was all it was said to be. We Loved the scallops, the duck spring rolls and the pepper friend calamari. Surprisingly, we found their Nan flat in taste. Our main dish was the duck curry, which was delicious. The service was Good, but not particularly friendly. The place is pretty big and nicely laid out.

Came here for a family dinner for a special occasion, and I must say it was an absolute delight. The chef and team had welcomed us greatly, made us feel right at home. The rose petal chicken korma main was delicious, and the starters tiger prawn martini mouthwatering. Best Indian cuisine for miles, right in the heart of Windsor. They’ll be seeing us again very soon,👌

Absolutely fantastic service and ambience. Me and the family went to dinner to celebrate a birthday and Mango lounge provided the perfect spot for us. We throughly enjoyed the chilli chicken and the three ways of seafood. Will definitely be returning soon.

This is my second time visiting Mango Lounge and there is a reason for this return visit. Great food, so tasty and excellent variety. Excellent service from the staff. More importantly the facilities are clean and available. This is the best restaurant in Windsor.

We went as a group of 6 to celebrate special birthday. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was delicious and the place was clean but the noise level was awful . We couldn’t really talk to each other and as we were seated near the door , it got very cold as people kept going out to smoke and back in leaving the door open . It was awful as every 5 minutes a group would go out for smoke . I would definitely recommend the food

I do not usually write reviews, but the service from this place was impeccable, the food was outstanding the bathroom facilities were spic and span. The staff was so friendly and advised me on what to order due to my dietary restrictions. The drinks were amazing I will absolutely be coming again.

Suggested this restaurant to my family after previously visiting with friends. Suffice to say, it did not disappoint. The staff were friendly and swift with service. The food was piping hot and delicious, and the drinks were refreshing. Combined with the ambience and magnificent view of Windsor Castle, it was a pleasant experience for both me and my family. Would definitely recommend for social gatherings.

Been going here for a rew years and our most recent visit was possibly the worst of the lot. Noise - The decor is minimal on the floor and walls so acoustics totally screwed. Just a wall of noise with each table competing to be heard over the next one. Space - if you sit in the middle of the restaurant you are simply pinned in. No room to move/ change seating position, just pinned in for the duration of the meal. Price - I am happy to pay that little bit extra for above average menu items. The food served is ok, but the prices are inflated and really not justified. The beers are just short of 8.00 per bottle, what the mark up is anyone’s guess but the consumer ain’t the winner! Overall the Mango Lounge has lost its way and its pricing strategy (making too much profit at the cost of not really valuing custom) But this is Windsor and there appears to be no evidence of a credit crunch so you can get away with murder!

This is easily top 3 restaurants in Windsor, Patch, Ivy, Mango lounge. Beers are served in under 30 seconds (time it). Food is quality and you will walk away very happy. Just a great place to go.

There aren't enough superlatives to describe the incredible food at this restaurant. I was here with my dad and sister and we decided to have an impromptu Dinner and as my sister wanted spicy food we decided to go here. Omg so glad we did. Let me tell you I'm Indian and have been to countless Indian restaurants (as that's all my dad eats!) although I'm incredibly fussy my dad beats me to this. To top it off he is vegetarian. We started off with a few cocktails...these weren't anything special. Anyway for food, we had the vegetarian platter to share...everything was fresh and perfectly cooked...a wonderful start even my father was happy (he rarely is!). For mains we had the laal maas, chicken chettinad, aloo baigan and bhindhi. Each and every dish tasted different, perfectly cooked and definitely fresh. We were so taken aback at the yumminess of the food. Even the bread accompaniments and chutneys were superb. My dad NEVER compliments the chef or takes leftovers home...however on this occasion he did! Win win. We were stuffed but as I'm a piggy and the food was so good I couldn't leave without trying the gulab jamun...yes you guessed it...incredible. My sister also enjoyed her mango creme brulee. I wish this was on my doorstep. Easily this is one of the best Indian restaurants I've been to!

I would describe the food at Mango Lounge as amazing! Four of us had a variety of starters and main courses all of which were gorgeous. The menu is very different from the usual Indian restaurants and you are spoiled for choice. The service was excellent and if I lived nearer this would definitely be my first choice for an Indian meal.

Fantastic food, probably best Indian meal I've ever had. Staff friendly and helpful and happy to explain the menu and even ask the chef to make dishes milder if requested. Not your normal menu with some very nice speciality dishes. Plus views of the castle!

The only authentic Indian restaurant in and around windsor. Very good food, slightly expensive, but worth the spent and visit. Ambiance could be better, however, if you want to eat good Indian authentic food Mango lounge is the right place.

Lovely food...very fresh and different from the normal fare offered in Indian restaurants. Large portions and we made the mistake of having a big starter so couldn’t finish the delicious main course. Would highly recommend.
