Golden Curry in Windsor and Maidenhead

The restaurant was recommended to me by a personal friend. I was looking for something that offers good food, good service and authentic experience for my family’s visit in the UK. The food was mediocre, lacks taste and the portions are very small. It seems like the dishes are different colours but taste the same. The breads were very good though. The prices are expensive for what it is. The restaurant smells unpleasantly. I was sold on the promise of magic shows for my little cousin, and the experience, but other than taking our order, we did not see any of the waiters come up and even ask if our food was ok. I asked if the 3 portions of rice would be enough between the 4 of us and the waiter offered no comment other than just shrugging his shoulders. I don’t really like to leave bad comments, so I also told the owner at the end that the experience was very disappointing and he didn’t seem too bothered. Overall, the most disappointing meal/ experience we’ve ever had.

I love the Golden Curry I have been coming to this restaurant for a long time,however their take aways are first class too.The other evening I ordered two curries,one was a Chicken Tikka Pathia and the other was a Lamb Balti. I would just like to praise the chef and the staff of the Golden Curry,this food was absolutely beautiful.....really beautiful.I can fully recommend both choices,first class.The chicken tikka pathia is always a great choice,however this was the best I have ever tasted in my life!...and the lamb balti was just superb,the lamb just melted in the mouth. So thank you again Saiful and all the staff of the Golden Curry.....I would'nt go anywhere else for my curries,restaurant or take away you will not be disappointed.

Myself and husband just had a brilliant time at The Golden Curry! The food was incredible and we tried some new dishes recommended to us which were lovely. The service was top-notch too; our server (Saiful) was super friendly and had great recommendations. As if that wasn’t enough, we even got to enjoy some cool magic tricks whilst we waited for the food. Overall, it was a fun, laid-back night with amazing food, a little bit of entertainment and fantastic service. Totally recommend!

Cannot believe ANGELS LIVE IN Eton!! Man pulled up close to front of our car so I explained situation so he moved forward to allow breakdown truck to have space when it arrived. He asked if we were ok then went into the restaurant and came out with 2 bottles of Pepsi. He came out many times and then insisted we sat in the restaurant and brought us some food plus coffee. He turned out to be one of the owners. His name is Helal and you could NEVER meet a nicer, caring man. We stayed in the restaurant and even later when it got very busy he still kept checking that we were okay! We will definitely be coming back with friends because, apart from the food being delicious the treatment was WAY above anything and you could tell by the customers this is a place to come to. I just wanted to say a very BIG THANK YOU to Saiful and his team at the Golden Curry for their exemplary take away service.I often use the Golden Curry for my take away requirements and they never let me down. The food is always beautifully cooked and is always piping hot,what more could you ask for.Last Saturday I ordered for my wife and I a chicken tikka spatchlick bhuna this was absolutely fantastic.It has the chicken tikka in a bhuna sauce with chargrilled green pepper,tomato and onion in it,wow this was really is good,if you have never tried it you must.We could'nt believe the flavour and we were both so impressed at the standard of cooking as always with the Golden Curry. So once again thank you to Saiful and his wonderful team at the Golden Curry....first class as always Gentlemen,very happy to recommend.

We go to this fantastic curry house ever time we go Windsor. Plenty to choose from, great service, fantastic flavour. They are very friendly and always make you welcome. One of the staff does magic tricks which are very good and entertaining.

What a Let Down. Very average . We had a party of Eight for a family 80th Birthday and thats what we all thought of our meals. Taste was OK, but chewy, overcooked Chicken Tikka and no heat as requested in any of the Dishes we ordered.

I attended with friends for an evening meal. The staff were friendly and extremely co-operative when one of my friends was late. The food was (as usual) excellent and one of my friends who had not been here before was suitably impressed. There was no pressure to leave our table before we were ready and we were generally made to feel very welcome

Have eaten in this excellent restaurant many times over the years, but never had a delivery from them - until tonight. Wish I’d done so years ago. The service was brilliant, with the delivery made exactly when we had been told that it would be. All top restaurant quality food and still piping hot.

Food was ok but the toilets were absolutely disgusting. I wouldn’t go there again. And I certainly wouldn’t have eaten there if I’d seen the toilets first.

Great Indian I always meet a friend here as it’s our favourite Indian around. We visited on a Thursday in August at about 8pm it was unusually quiet as it was holiday times. But it filled up later. We were giving our own demonstration of close hand magic which was amazing!

As usual, friendly and competent service and absolutely delicious food. The staff are attentive without making you feel that they are hurrying you and my friends and I had a leisurely meal. The food is spicy and mouth-watering and always makes me want to eat more. Thank you for another excellent evening

Very disappointed. Poppadoms were good, starters okay, but curries were tasteless, chicken teika in my biryani was dry and not much of it and husbands curry not tasty at all, but naan was good. Service mixed, one very happy waiter one grumpy waiter. A lot of money paid and we left a lot of the mains. Certainly wouldn't return.

Great local curry house with delicious food and incredibly friendly staff. We visited on Sunday evening and had a great meal. Poppadoms and dips were of a high standard. They were really accommodating with one of our party's nut allergy, suggesting which dishes were suitable, which is not always a given with curry. The Chicken Jahangiree was really flavoursome and the Karahi had a lovely amount of heat. After our meal, we got chatting to Saiful and he did a number of brilliant magic tricks that wowed us, what a talented man. We'll definitely be back.

What a brilliant Indian in lovely Eton. Clean and very friendly atmosphere. Saiful who runs this brilliant place is a great host. He and his team make sure you are served very well and make sure everyone feels comfortable and valued. The food is unbelievably cooked with the finest Indiana spices and the chefs cook to the highest standards to satisfy everyone who was on my table. I have been here 4/5 times now and every time with different people it has been 10/10 food and service. Thank you, Saiful and your great team.

Fabulous curry! Great popadoms and dips. Chicken tikka and mixed grill is amazing. Korma and naan bread were delicious. Perfect rice! Lovely cobra beer and wine. Best curry house in Windsor by far.
