I highly recommend booking a private party at the Eton Mess. We had a great area, the bar staff were so helpful and looked after everyone. Shaikh provided excellent service, and designed our own cocktail list, he was super helpful and put a lot of effort to ensure we had a good night. The night was fantastic! Thank you Eton Mess team!

I stayed overnight here. The room was lovely and had all the amenities I needed, plus the bed was super comfortable and had a mini fridge and a fan. The downside was that there was no milk on arrival and even the next morning - they didn’t tell me there was no milk until after they had brought coffee. Disappointing when there is a shop just up the road! There was no choice at breakfast - a fry up was just served which was mediocre. Whilst it’s in a great location and the name sounded quaint, I’d say this was expensive for what it is, and for the quality.

Staff were welcoming and friendly and the place has a lovely ambience, really great refurb. A very pleasant experience. The decor was well designed with comfort and sophistication in mind. we will definitely be returning again . Excellent choice of Autumn cocktails too.

Totally awful service. Turned up for a reservation at 7:30 for food and drinks, was told by the rude waitress that they had an 80th birthday so the kitchen was closed. She then said someone should have contacted us to let us know about the reservation. We said this was disgusting service, we had come a long way with friends who had not seen each other in a while to be told we could not eat on a Saturday night (bearing in mind this reservation was made months ago!!!!!) To add further insult another employee came over to say that he tried to call. This was a lie, no one tried to call and we had no missed calls, to make things worse we even had a confirmation email the day before saying “we look forward to seeing you tomorrow at the Eton mess”. Staff lie and are rude, they didn’t even admit their mistake, or offer to make it up to us with a discount on another day or help us to get a table elsewhere. We were actually scoping the place out too as a potential Christmas party reservation hire, but will now be avoiding due to the awful service and rudeness. Avoid at all costs as they clearly don’t care one bit about their customers, disgusting front of house staff too.

Lovely place with very nice decor. We stopped there on our walk around Eton and had a few drinks. Cocktails made by Shaikh were amazing! We also tried their homemade Doritos style chips. It was delicious. Staff is nice and friendly. Will definitely going back as we`d like to try food there.

Spent the evening at this warm and cozy place with a friend. The waiter Chris was a delight .. an absolute star at his job . He was kind, courteous, yet professional. The GM Amit was very welcoming and friendly. The food was brilliant as well, so all kudos to the Chef, all the way from my side of the world...Goa. On the whole, we had an awesome evening and will definitely be returning for many more such wonderful evenings at this lovely restaurant.

Pathetic excuse for a bar,horrible smarmy Saturday night staff when challenged over the extortionate price of 4 drinks(£45 and 1 was a diet coke) I was met with rudeness, and the younger of the bar staff showed a look that was utterly disgraceful avoid this bar at all costs,place pathetic and staff even more so.

A great little place with great music and the right volume, great drinks from a proper mixologist. Service superb and attention to detail to die for. Not over priced and a great hidden gem.

We were disappointed. Wandering through Eton and this menu looked promising. We paid more than £80 for 2 very lacklustre chicken salads that were missing many of the components mentioned on the menu and a soggy fish & chips with 2 alcoholic drinks and one soft drink. Bar staff arguing loudly while we were there. There was also a very over inflated service charge added to the bill. Could not in clear conscience recommend this place.

We went for a drink and were seated. However, after waiting 30 minutes with no one taking an order, we decided to walk away. not only being very disappointed with the service, the bar man then ran down the road and accused us of not paying, despite the fact we had not even been given the basic courtesy of being offered to purchase a drink. It was really quite an appealing experience and we certainly won’t be returning.

First of all: if you’re thinking of booking bottomless brunch, all bar one in Windsor is £20, bel and dragon £20 and gogos £35 (all with food included and most of these are 2 hours instead of 1 hour)Booked this for bottomless brunch earlier this week when it was £18/20 (a reasonable deal we thought), Last night it was still this price (seen by three people) and this morning....suddenly £30/35 without food! There was no communication on the price change, and absolutely refused to honour at the prices for when we booked. We didn’t receive very nice customer service over the phone. If the prices had changed earlier, then change it on your website! It’s the modern worldNow we have no option of booking elsewhere as it’s too late notice, after we have got all of our friends together for bottomless brunchAbsolutely shocking! No one will ever go to a quiet bar out of the way and pay £35 on top of their food for an hour and a half of bottomless. I booked a table at Eton mess 3 days prior to visiting for myself and 3 friends for a birthday. We wanted to enjoy their bottomless brunch offer of unlimited cocktails for £20 for 90 minutes. This booking was made on the phone as mentioned 3 days prior to the visit. When checking details on the day I notice the price had changed from £20 to £35pp for the same package. When speaking an employee of Eton mess, they refused to honour our original booking, and stated it was not their responsibility to inform us of any changes or potential changes. They were incredibly unhelpful and inconsiderate toward the changes. Therefore we will not be visiting here today or again and instead will go to the many other locations offering excellent bottomless brunches at a cheaper rate in the Eton and Windsor area

Spent a couple of hours here on a Saturday afternoon. Very welcoming and their zombie cocktails are real showstoppers. Safe to say they attracted plenty of attention from other customers! Would return willingly when next in town and spend the afternoon drinking myself into a fine rum inspired Eton Mess!!

From start to finish the experience at the bar / restaurant was appalling. When we arrived we asked for a comfortable arm chair which we were not allowed to take from the ‘reserved’ table where no one was yet sitting. When moved to our dining table, menus were not provided, cutlery was no provided and we had to beckon the staff over to take our order. When taking the order we wanted to make sure there was cheese on the menu which we were ensured there was (we also saw it on the website). We ordered a bottle of red Rioja. A while later we were told that the Rioja had run out but that they would match that with another bottle (we chose the Italian from Brindisi for £6 more). When the wine was brought over it wasn’t poured for tasting. The food we ordered was ok although when it arrived we still had no cutlery, plates or napkins. No apology was made.When we asked for the cheese at the end of our tapas, we were told that in fact there was no cheese. No apology was made.When it came to ordering coffee, one of my friends ordered a decaf coffee, we were told there was no decaf, no apology was made.When the bill came, our wine we ordered was not price matched to the Rioja. We were told that this promise would not have been made. No apology again for this.Thus restaurant is not cheap. The service was shocking and rude. We will not be coming back. How to be ripped off ‘by excellence’.

Reasonable food, although a little over-priced, but dreadful, slapdash and surly service. There were too many items missing from the limited menu and wine list with no alternatives offered. You just have to like it or lump it. Not an experience that I’ll be repeating any time soon.

I stayed almost a week at the Eton Mess while visiting my son. The setup is unique, at least in my experience. The room served its purpose ... very utilitarian. This is not a destination for travelers who prefer a complete hotel wraparound...concierge, cafe, car service, taxi stand, workout room...etc.
