Wonderfully cooked and delicious takeaway (in the COVID times), delivered with a smile, great range of vegetarian and scrumptious lamb. Excellent frothy tomato and also yoghurt sauces.

Really lovely place to go for food, staff are absolutely amazing and really friendly, especially our waitress Eleanor.

I’m very pleased that this restaurant is on our doorstep. The food and the service is exceptional. Lovely, friendly staff with a warm welcome. Savoury or sweet selections, I love it all. The cakes are delicious. I cannot recommend it highly enough here.

Just had 2 lots of cod and chips 1 of which had to be gluten free ( for health not a choice ) and was absolutely delicious. Couldn't actually tell the difference .fish was gorgeous and collected within 10mins of phone order ..highly recommend and definitely be using again soon..

Lovely looking pub that do incredible pints. However the Christmas menu food was diabolical. We got scallops as starters which were undercooked and had a funky taste to them. The main of venison Ragu didn't have a sauce and felt like they seared the venison separately and plopped it on the plate. The cheese board was extremely lackluster and felt like a child had assembled it.

Not as good as it used to be, ok but not wow, still only take cash which is unusual.

First time visiting the Chairmakers with friends for Sunday carvery. The food was absolutely delicious! I had gammon, pork and beef which melted in my mouth, the roasties were so crispy! The best roast dinner I’ve been out for. Dessert was also lovely! Service was great with very friendly and efficient staff. Highly recommended and would definitely go again

We went for Christmas Day drinks. The atmosphere was great.

Came in with friends for a pint and a chat, quite a few locals in, all very friendly. Three hand pulls on, plus three lagers. I opted for the Proper Job and it was lovely. Great atmosphere and dogs were welcome. I'll definitely come back when I'm next visiting friends nearby.

Sunday lunch with the family. Friendly staff and locals. Wonderful selection of ales and the food was first class. Highly recommended.

I have been here many times over the years, and the food has always been not great. It's been a similar menu for a long time, and it is a shame as the pub is very nice to look at. I went here the other day for a quick coffee, and neither I nor members of my family were that impressed with the blunt and slightly rude staff, I understand that they had a lot of christmas meals to deal with, but still feel it makes sense to make everyone feel welcome. Also the mens toilet hasn't had a lock for a long time, which is just strange, no one wants to walk in on some bloke on the toilet.
