Dog friendly, child friendly, very friendly. Obviously a locals local, always a good sign! The food is fantastic, always well presented, I'm surprised more and more each time I visit, there are specials nights, all such value for money. It is so good I wonder if they think I'm a secret food critic?

Popped in just for a quick drink & had unexpected lunch as well. Rump steak was excellent and the home made steak & ale pie also. Together with the ‘lovely ladies’ serving, an all round enjoyable experience. Well recommend. Richard & Angela

We turned up on a Sunday afternoon on the off chance of eating. We were made to feel very comfortable, the dinner was delicious and the atmosphere was good.

Went to the Harvest home for a meal , service was friendly and fast and the food was nice but not the best iv had let's say, met some friends after the meal and just had a relaxing drink and chat , would definitely go there again !

Lovely pub great food and fantastic deals

Food was burnt ( could taste and smell it ) the burgers were small as of there was no effort to even make them properly and just left the burger patties small as if for a child. Apart from that everything was good and the manager was amazing.

We received a very warm welcome from the lovely ladies and enjoyed lunch in a cosy corner with our dog. Delicious deep fried Brie, as well as prawn and avocado salad , and super fresh fish ( not frozen!) and chips for mains. Coffee was also hot and strong. Thank you Chrissie & Kerrie and the kitchen team … Ria & Mike.We shall be back soon!

Was taken here with a next door neighbour and neighbour who lives above. The staff were excellent came and chatted to us. The food couldn't have been any better. I bought a round of drinks didn't have to pay for food as it was a treat.

Lovely venue with cheerful staff; Chrissy and Jade and superb food from Ria and June. Definitely worth a visit! The warm pub ambience and fast service was most welcome.

We have lunch here with friends usually every couple of weeks and have done for some time. We are always greeted with a lovely welcome. Today the bar staff Chrissie and Jade were very welcoming and although there was quite a large party in at the same time we didn't have to wait long for our food. The food is always lovely and good value. Would definitely recommend.

Myself my husband and 2 friends booked a meal here 18th November. From the minute we stepped in the door we were greeted with a good evening and friendly smile . We all had drinks and a 3 course meal . The meal was absolutely amazing and so generous with the size of there meals and very reasonable in price.. The manager went out of her way to assist us and even the lady chef came out and spoke to us even though she was very busy. Lovely pub atmosphere very friendly staff . Credit to them all . Well done

Saturday night steak night great meal,the food was all freshly cooked steaks cooked perfectly great onion ring, lovely atmosphere and great banter with the staff.

Our first visit to the harvest home today, for lunch with my mum, what a lovely pub, was welcomed the minute we walked through the door. The interior is gorgeous and gave me a warming cottage feel. Everything was super clean. My mum came into the pub really cold so to be seated next to a nice warm radiator was a true blessing 🙌. Loved that the tea comes in a teapot ( don't see that much anymore) and loved that they had sweeteners. It's the little touches that mean the most. Really enjoyed our visit and a huge thank you to Jade and Chrissie for making us feel so welcome, will be back very soon x

Very enjoyable. Think they could do with renewing carparking lines. First visit and difficult to see where to park as lines very faded.

Visited today have been many times before got first class service as always, despite them being incredibly busy food was served quickly and was amazing. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Big thank you to Chrissie,Jade and Kellie bar staff and Jeanette and Mike in the kitchen. Can definitely recommend a visit for anyone you won’t be disappointed

We use the Harvest Home for our local Bowls Club monthly get together. The food is great value particularly the Steak, Gammon and Pies. Lovely bar staff Chrissie, Jade and Kellie are always welcoming looking after our needs. Hats off to the Kitchen staff Jeanette and Mike. Food is always fresh and inviting, plenty of it too. We have tried some of the other local pubs but haven’t been able to get the same level of service and value for money.

Omg been to this pub in the past and it's been great, HOWEVER think the management has changed... the new manger is so rude and blunt and clearly not wanting customers to return. Her attitude sinks and the language is disgusting considering its ment to be a family pub that children go to. Think she will be better suited in a social club. We won't be returning it's not cheap to eat out so when we do we want to experience to be present. Real shame as the food is great. But she let's the whole pub and reputation down

Well worth a visit. The Saturday steak night was amazing. £8.50 for a 10oz steak fantastic value for money.

Staff are extremely welcoming and friendly. Food was great and the prices were very fair especially in this day and age. Absolutely loved it here and will be going back.

Visited Tuesday 17th October. We was let down by a restaurant for a bday family meal. So phoned harvest home on the chance they would be able to accommodate us. They managed to fit in a very big family of 20. The service was exceptional. So polite welcoming & made us feel really at home. Then the chef wow is incredible to cater for us all. & everything was perfect the food was incredible, big portions & everyone of my family members couldn’t believe how good & tasted amazing & very good value for money. We will all be returning & recommending to our family & friends. We also very glad that our original restaurant let us down Thank you

Had a lovely Sunday roast with plenty of fresh vegetables and lots of meat. One of the best we have had in a long time.

Our first visit to celebrate my wife’s birthday and we were well catered for. A nice menu was discussed with the very pleasant manageress and after a short while each of us was enjoying a generous plateful of beautifully cooked food. Everything was hot and nicely presented. We all enjoyed our choice from the dessert menu. The total cost was extremely reasonable. A happy experience for us all and we shall certainly be returning. My wife suggests that adding a cheesecake to the dessert menu would be a good thing and we shall mention this on our next visit.

Went in for a Sunday lunch at 1:30, when e were sat we were told from one member of staff to order from the bar and then when we went to the bar we were told to sit back down as it’s supposed to be table service on a Sunday. When our order was taken the ‘manger’ took our order but she wasn’t even sure of what was on the menu or what extras we could or couldn’t have. When our food arrived we were down a meal. We overheard the barmaid tell this manager that she’d missed a meal, no apology to us we were just lied to and told there was a delay in the kitchen. After 5-10 minutes my meal arrived and then we asked if our sauces we’d asked for when ordering our food could also come out before my grandparents and boyfriends food got too cold. They eventually come and we asked for a sharp knife to cut mine and my nan’s beef which was far too tough to cut and even harder to chew. Got ignored on that request. There were no check backs either. There’s next to no gravy on the plates either and when we asked for gravy as soon as our plates first come out we were eventually handed the smallest jug, only enough for milk in 2 coffees. When it come to someone finally coming over my boyfriend and grandad were finished as they enjoyed their meals, but mine and my nans plates were still full as we couldn’t get through the meat and our ‘mixed veg’ which was just carrots which were too hard to eat remained in both plates and the Yorkshires which were chewy. We told them this information but had no apologies. Then the manager come back over and told us everyone else enjoyed their meat in the restaurant and that the carrots were supposed to be like that. We weren’t happy to pay for a meal that we didn’t eat nor enjoy, without any compensation for the meal or any respect when being spoken to from the manager. She still took cash from my boyfriend when he was paying for his meal, fully aware my Nan and grandad would be paying by care, she gave no change and tried to charge their card with the rest of the bill. Which I did refuse but I kept a low voice so I didn’t disturb the other customers. In which the reply was very loud and rude from the manager telling me I’m causing a scene and that I will be paying for the meals as I ordered them. I did refuse to pay the full amount and asked her to lower her voice so there was no further scene or disruption caused in which the response was ‘do you know what, f*ck off and don’t bother coming back’. It’s disgusting that the manager can’t even keep her composure and stay calm in such small situation that could’ve been avoided had we had our sharper knife request or an apology for inedible food. What could’ve been a lovely experience was ruined. No wonder the atmosphere was bleak and quiet on arrival when the manager acts the way she does. What used to be a lovely pub is now a place myself, friends and family will not return too. Disgusting behaviour.

First visit to the Harvest Home . My partner had the fish and chips and l had the homemade chicken and bacon pie. Fish was large , batter crispy and tasty . The pie was half the size of the plate and was one of the tastiest pies that l have eaten in many a long while. My partner tasted it as it looked so good , she wasn't disappointed , chunky chicken, large pieces of bacon and a sauce that was exceptional. Well done to the cook. Beers were lovely and cold and served by really welcoming and friendly staff, very much appreciated. As for the price of the drinks and food ....would of expected , and , would of paid more for such tasty food. Will definitely visit again when next in the area . You'll notice in the feedback that l would recommend everything on the menu ( even though we never tasted all ) , this , is as a testament to the food that we, tasted . If that much preparation and care of our food was anything to go by ......the rest must surely be on a par , noticed other people eating, clean plates all round , now that speaks volumes.

Proper little pub, tied to Fullers so beer was good - London Pride & a very well kept Hop Head. Staff were very welcoming & happy to engage. Food menu was good. Had fish gujon baguette which was the best fish finger sarnie I've ever had & delish! At under a tenner with fries, great value too. Thanks!

What a shame the Owner / Manager was away 😕 👏 The guys on duty were outstanding 👏 But they were over run. The local pub was closed for a private function and the HH bar was 2 or 3 times busier than expected. Nobody had the authority to bring in more staff & there was no process for staff to do this. > They would have made such a profit if they could have! 》 Instead.... The food was great - but how can we eat steak with no clean knives?? The wine was bought - but no clean wine glasses to drink from (we used tall glasses:-/) The queue at the bar was unreasonable - I bought just enough as we were not going to queue again. I hope the management can so better. I will go back as the steak was 😋 yummy!!

Booked a table here for my dad's birthday. They had a huge booking for a baptism just after. Rather than sitting us away from the buffet they sat us on top of it meaning that we were eating our meal while tables and food were...

Excellent goof value food. We all had the steak which was cooked to perfection. Our grandson had the chicken beans and chips but unfortunately they mixed his order up and brought out fish instead. Once we told them it was wrong they couldn’t apologise enough...

Unfortunately lack of maintenance is starting to show, especially in the garden areas. Understandable after the past few years, let's hope things improve for the industry to make them more commercially viable. Saying that service was good and drinks were great.

Had an early Friday evening meal there. Lots of locals, workmen having a 'scoop' or two before home and dog walkers. The food choices were good, and lots of vegetarian options - food was 'home-cooked' and great. I had a pizza & it was gorgeous. Will be returning, definitely!

VERY disappointing 😞 came here for Mothers Day, pub was full, atmosphere nice but food overpriced and cold while we waited for vegetables (which were hard), clean cutlery and gravy etc. Front of house staff did their best and were friendly enough but there was obviously too many people crammed in at same time. Pulled pork croquettes starter lacked any pork! Not worth £6.50.

Mother’s Day lunch, staff were lovely. Sadly the food wasn’t great, duck was so undercooked it was difficult to cut through the fat or the flesh. I like pink duck but this wobbled. Burger might have been ok but came with some relish which wasn’t on the menu otherwise I would’ve asked for the burger without it as my son can’t eat tomatoes so he didn’t eat much. Finally, we were seated by the door to the garden which really ruined our meal by kids constantly in and out to playground and adults constantly in and out to smoke, both adults and kids continually leaving door open.

I am visiting from Wales and we have just had the 50%off lunch. Highly recommended. Beautiful fish and chips ( a very generous portion) and a very tasty vegan meal too. Only available Mondays and Tuesdays 12-2 this month but well worth a visit.

A very disappointing, expensive experience..Christmas dinner service littered with mistakes and one item very undercooked..twice! It was so cold in the pub we ate with coats on and the only fire in pub hadn’t been lit. A local band played to a handful of cold...

Had lunch, 1 pie of the day, I couldn't eat it all. 1 beef burger with chilli and cheese yum and 1 chicken burger with cheese which looked delicious. Really good value, really good service. The bar prices were really reasonable. A friendly, comfortable, country pub with food brilliant

What a lovely evening we had for our Christmas party get together. World cup football was on in the bar so full. But that did not effect the service we received. The table looked lovely with a red sparkling runner and crackers. The food was great, Turkey was cooked perfectly, moist and very tasty the biggest sausage wrapped in bacon. The best homemade roast potatoes with amazing bowl of freshly cooked veg, sprouts, carrots, Cauliflower, broccoli. All served pipping hot. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I was not having a pudding after the ice-cream sundae coming out. I had pudding envy. I was asked if I wanted one and being told it was not a problem an amazing pudding arrived which I actually didn't need as I was full with the roast dinner, I had just eaten. We had a great time and planning our next visit. Thank you to all staff.

Visited here last Saturday(13 August) for lunch with relatives. It was very quiet as you would expect as many people opted for the seaside. We ate outside with a nice table with gazebo overhead. We only had a light lunch but it was very enjoyable...

We only popped in because the white Hart looked too full, but we were very surprised. The bar staff were excellent and could not do enough for you, my granddaughter loved the rear garden area with climbing apparatus and slides etc. The food was great and at a very reasonable price, you could eat in or out. I will certainly be going back for another visit.

We only ordered 2 meals the person that served us got our order wrong and our daughter was sat without food when we checked to see what had happened there was no apology. We then asked them to do ours again as we were not going to eat in front of her they then sent our cold food we had already had back out to us with her food still no apology!!!!! Our food was barely edible. If the pub was busy I could slightly understand the mistake but it was early Friday afternoon so not really an excuse for awful service and cold food. We will not be returning!!!

It started out a sad event our visit here, it was the location for my Aunties wake. However we had a very friendly welcome on our arrival. We've never been here before, although we've passed it many times on our travels. It's a lovely atmosphere, and the buffet they supplied was delicious. I think we'll definitely go back for a visit.
