\Very disappointed on our last visit. We had a family wedding here and it was great. But this time the food. Bacon jam on a burger I almost could not see it. Haddock that was over done on the edge of being burnt. Time waiting for food too long. The staff were great just not enough of them ! Pubs started selling food because of a fall in alcohol. But now it's just profiteering. It's back to restaurants for us.

This venue was a perfect location for my 30th birthday party. Beautiful garden and play area at the back for children. The party venue was very spacious and options for guests to sit or dance. Private bar was also a great option to add on as well, which is attached to the room and makes it very convenient for guests. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Thank you to Charlie as well who helped things run smoothly!

We recently visited and ordered the steak, trout, and chicken wings. While the steak and wings were enjoyable, the trout was quite dry, and the side dish was overcooked. On a positive note, the atmosphere was very pleasant, and the restaurant was clean and well-maintained. Overall, it was a decent experience, but some improvements in food preparation would make it even better.

Why let four women buy non- alcoholics drinks at 8.30pm.. to then before they can walk away from the bar say.. 'you know under 18s are not allowed on the premises after 9pm' we are all around our 30's, no one looks that young. For us to reply that we didn't have ID as not drinking alcohol, to be told we have half an hour to drink up!! Rude way to ask for ID! No wonder why the pub was dead, if you greet all your customers the same.

Went to The King’s Head in Wickham for lunch just before Christmas. We ordered our food, my husband’s lunch was ok, mine was terrible, I ordered fish finger’s sandwich with fries, the fish is more greasy batter, and look at the old lettuce. Another award winning afternoon/evening at the pub and in particular the Skittle Alley. We had a works Team afternoon at the D-Day Map Room and Military Policing Museum at Southwick Park. A must do on it's own if need be but very much enhanced by a visit to the Kings Head. The pub is an absolute gem, spotlessly clean, excellent very well kept beers, and ultra friendly, Landlord and Lady, splendidly supported by fantastic staff. Now to the food, after our great game of Skittles, which certainly brought out the competitive nature in a few of our participants. We had a break for some food. I can honestly say the food is excellent and was enjoyed by everyone, whatever they had ordered. A huge Thank you to everyone at the Kings Head, we will return for more of the same very soon.

I wouldn’t normally go to the trouble of leaving a review for a pub. But feel others need to be pre-warned! Me and my other half were disgusted at what was served for the price. We ordered two burgers (this was on a Sunday for reference). We were presented with a small portion of warm chips and the burger was pitiful. An over toasted bun which was small, one patty, burger sauce evidently out of a bottle and not freshly made, some onion and a slice of lettuce! It looked like it had been kept under a lamp too long or had been microwaved. This is fine if you’re paying under a tenner for the privilege…but £17.50 EACH. It’s just appalling! We popped in on an off chance for a bit of rare couple time without our son. We honestly wished we hadn’t bothered. We can cook better food at home. We would never return and will be telling all to avoid…honestly just because you’re in ‘Wickham’ doesn’t give you the right to charge stupid prices for crap. The beer was also presented with no head on it at all. The final staff member we dealt with was a lady with dark hair who had no sense of humour, no warmth and was very rude when paying our bill. Just finished off an already rubbish experience. There are way nicer places for less money and better food. Don’t even bother wasting your time….

On that evening, I had the rack of ribs - & they were off the scale flavour wise. And then the birthday boy had a most excellent evening, with a few turns behind the mic & a lovely crowd of villagers and visitors from further afield. A great atmosphere & a great evening. Visited for a pre booked evening meal, to meet up with a colleague I worked with years ago. The food and drink were of a good standard and the pub was absolutely buzzing with customers, a great start to the evening. Sadly at around 8pm, the "band" started to do sound checks which were far too loud.. After a bit they started to play and it was absolutely deafening (and poor!). There was tremendous muttering of disapproval throughout the pub. The staff refused to get the sound reduced, when we asked. Within 30 minutes, the pub had been cleared in a really effective manner, and only a few souls remained. This absolutely ruined the evening. Would score a 4 if there had been no music, but as it was one of the worst dining experiences I have had in a long time, the band created an overall score of 1. I did contact Fullers asking to discuss this (as I was ignored on the night) but they did not respond to me, so presumably cannot care less.

Went for Sunday lunch with the family, staff very nice. Our two celiacs had gluten free Sunday beef roasts with no ill effects afterwards. Dog was very happy on his roll out mat by fire
