Really cozy bakery, went at about 1.20pm so there wasn't as much stock as first hoped (recommend going fairly early cod the full range) however what they did have was fantastic. The brownies are moist, chocolatey and very rich. Very friendly service too!

Absolutely brilliant service, very friendly staff. And the lovely lady helped me with my order to the car as I had a baby to carry too. excellent customer went through extra mile, will definitely be back.

We employed The Bakehouse to provide an afternoon tea for our dearest Mother’s wake. Our family and friends are still talking about how fantastic the spread was - the attention to detail was brilliant. Thank you so much Becca, Zoe and Denise - you were all amazing!!! Could not have been better❤️❤️

Did see a good write up and review of this bakery in a local paper so decided to try it out. As with most rural cafes they allow your best behaved friend to accompany you, on arrival I asked the counter staff if it was ok to bring in the dog (small cavalier) and was greeted with “yes no problem.” Me and my partner sat down at a vacant table looking at the menu when a member of staff appeared from the kitchen and said “sorry but we don’t accept dogs in here”, “it’s not us it’s the customers who complain!” Those sat all around us all said “there is no problem with the dog he’s lovely.” Unfortunately the staff take a different view to that of the customers, so we had no choice but to leave…..never to return again. Don’t like my dog so I don’t like you!

Probably the best bakery / cafe for miles. Beats all in towns. Full English ... cooked to perfection. Proper fried egg and no runny or dry yolk. Crispy hash brow, juicy sausages. All for £7.75... superb. Keep up the good work ladies

Fantastic place me wife and kids just ate here, very reasonably priced, wife's chicken sandwich was well filled, my Cornish pasty filled to the brim no empty space in that 😀. Very clean and tidy, will come again!

Rude staff! If they can’t even be bothered to talk to you politely then don’t even bother give this place your money. I understood if you need to close early but at least have the curtesy to explain rather that just shout out “Kitchen closed” Gone down hill since being taken over

Just been to the bake house in Denmead had lunch what a lovely atmosphere the staff are very friendly and happy me and my partner were there for about 90 mins would highly recommend so happy staff cheered me up no end .

Yes it's very reasonably priced but now I know why! We went for breakfast last weekend and sadly it was terrible. The beans were cold, the bacon was like leather, the egg was battered and the tomatoes were chopped so basically it was just a plate of runny tomato juice and the sausages were just honestly disgusting. I took one bite and had to spit it out. They were honestly the worst sausages I have ever tasted. My husband even had stomach cramps after eating them. (smelt like dog food and I can imagine that's what dogs food tastes like) Such a shame as the actual bakery does amazing cakes. Maybe just stick with the bakery side?

Fabulous business. Have been using their services for a local company's corporate lunch functions for the last 6 months. Food is always fresh and well presented. They have accommodated to all dietary requirements when requested. Minimal effort when placing orders and all issues promptly resolved with zero fuss. Highly recommend. 👍👍

I order food from the Bakehouse for Jim Stokes Workshops Group in Waterlooville. As a local business we have been using the Bakehouse for many years to cater for business lunches, customer visits and staff parties. The buffet food is excellent quality and very good value. Sandwiches are always fresh and well presented. All food is packaged and well presented so that nothing is damaged on route to us. I would highly recommend catering from the bakehouse.

Nice fresh food. But how many times do I have to ask for a runny/soft egg, for it to not be runny! Answer is, it’s never soft/runny. Ended up frying my own and adding it, which is disappointing. It’s basic stuff, would’ve been a 5/5 if you could cook an egg to the customers simple requirement

Had to wait 15 minutes for a takeaway roll and then it came out wrong, twice! No real Apology, just told to wait longer. Completely different to the last time I was in there.

Went here for the first time since it’s changed hands and the it was cr@p!!! The girl who served me today was rude, unhelpful and basically made you feel like you were inconveniencing her being there. The food has gone down hill drastically and nothing like the high standard it was before. Won’t be returning and I should imagine if today was anything to go by you will lose a lot more customers. Have a word with the miserable old bird you had behind the counter today and get someone more inviting on if you want to keep your customers is my advice.

Best coffee I've had for long time, and very reasonably priced. The 🍩 are superbly tempting, but the diet must be obeyed. Martin C

The service here was great. We managed to get a drink as soon as we arrived then ordered food which arrived promptly and was very good value for money.

I would thoroughly recommend The BakeHouse to anyone looking for outside catering, following the Buffet provided for us after my son-in-laws funeral. A good selection of food at a really good price. Could not have been bettered.

I asked Debbie and her team to provide refreshments after my late mother's memorial service and I'm so glad I did! The buffet was lovely, really tasty with fresh ingredients and much enjoyed by everyone, good value too. It was so helpful that she was able to set everything up for is and clear up afterwards, it took a lot of the stress away. Debbie was so friendly and helpful, and I would definitely go book her again for a party!

I used my local Bakehouse Bakery for my Wedding Buffet in August, as they are so delicious and we as a family have used them a lot. The Buffet was fantastic, so much food, at such a great price. Debbie added all the special touches I asked for, I had 100 filled delicious doughnuts arrive before the buffet for my guests, and the Bakehouse made me a beautiful keep sake box for my new husbands, childrens and my doughnuts, such a beautiful touch. At Christmas we ordered festive filled rolls over the phone, with festive cakes to share with my family in the garden, a fantastic treat 😋orders over the phone are so easy and help with busy lives. I couldn't recommend the Bakehouse enough ❤️

I can only assume this place has had a change of ownership. There are completely new staff here. As such there is no organisation, I have found over the last six months the staff have been rude more often than not, not only to customers but to each other. You order hot food and it comes out in dribs and drabs over 5-10 minutes, some of the orders have been wrong, some of the cakes have been as stale as hell too. It’s a shame as this place used to be an excellent little stop for coffee, hot food and some cake. I did like it here, but I see no reason to stop here anymore. 2 stars feels generous.

Best freshly made rolls you can buy.

I took two of my coworkers here for lunch a couple of weeks ago and have been meaning to write a review. If anything, I’d highly recommend the sausage rolls. The employees are all very friendly, the food is amazing and there are three benches outside with a view of the village green. I think I will definitely return. Thank you.

Fortunately I found a parking space outside the small parade of shops to make use of The Bakehouse for lunch and which I had earlier researched on TA. I visited midweek and although there was a steady stream of customers popping in, I had time to check the specials board. I chose the beef and horseradish baguette and a pot of tea. I sat in the small area at the rear of the premises where there is seating for about dozen. Service was very quick, the baguette hot and served with a side salad. Only one other person came in to sit whilst I was there. I see from the reviews that it is normally a busy place and after 1pm must be a good time to visit and park. Well worth stopping here again.

Excellent food and staff Unfortunately they completely flaut covid 19 laws this could be easily rectified by a sign in window saying no mask no service and the staff wearing masks the girls are very good with hygiene but the.masks would be example to customers

Worked for us this lunchtime when others were packed. Good roll and cake and good service at a more than fair price.

Such a shame I can't sit inside with my pot of tea, writing my book. Covid19 = strange times. But they've come up with this terrific kiosk system at the front door, and the constant queue all day says it all. Not just a bakery either. They'll cater for all sorts, and are constantly open to suggestions. Can't big the place up enough, and the customer service is 2nd to none.

Fantastic local bakery, the staff are always friendly and helpful and the food is delicious. It has become a popular lunch time treat for everyone in our office with someone visiting at least once a week.

They were broken in last week and the charity box stolen - if passing pop in, but something and help support the new effort to raise money for a good cause.

While decorating our daughter and son -in-law’s new house we visited The Bakehouse which we know from our daughter has an excellent choice of rolls and fillings plus a wide variety of hot food and cakes.Staff are always helpful and the service is very prompt.Prices are reasonable and they also do take away hot drinks .It is an excellent place to have in the village .Wish there was something like it where we live .

My family and I had popped in for a bit of lunch out of the blue, everything was great until about 30 mins after we left, I was reassured that what I ordered was gluten free but it turns out it really wasn’t! I was I’ll all afternoon, thankfully my son didn’t eat much so wasn’t to ill. Be careful there coeliacs!

An amazing bakery and coffee house. Made very welcome by the staff who serve up delicious iced Coffees/ Latte etc with a bun or sticky cake, We have even been in for breakfast ithelen.wassell@btinternet.coms just perfect. Take away available too so its always busy

This is my grandchildren’s favourite bakery. They especially the donuts. Also the bread and bake well tarts are great!! 🙂

Had a takeaway Steak and Stilton pasties. Lots of potato. Could taste the Stilton but you had to search for the steak.

We had surprise visitors at work, big agenda, no time to take lunch, so we sent out an urgent request to The Bakehouse - at 11.30 a.m. By 12.30 (yes, ONE HOUR) they had put together a really good buffet for 6 people AND even delivered it. They really are a flexible team, always willing to go that bit extra to ensure customer satisfaction. We cannot rate them too highly. The food quality is superb, always clean and hygienically presented.

Brie y Cranberry que estaba quemada y pegajosa pero no en el buen sentido y col tan raro que me tuve que ir. un montón de personal pero no preste atención a nosotros.Pero debo decir que cuando nos acercábamos cualquiera para ayudarnos eran muy agradables y simpáticos. Fue un precio razonable pero no volvería otra vez, un poco decepcionante.

awesome! at last a bakery that knows how to cook bacon, normally bacon from cafes or bakeries is 50% fat and tastes like its been cooked for 30 seconds in the microwave....but the whole family were raving about how nice the bacon tasted and how well it was done. Well done Bakehouse!

Conveniently situated in the middle of Denmead's row of shops, Bakehouse offers a very good range of sandwiches, jackets and pastries all individually and quickly prepared, together with excellent coffee. There is a busy counter section with a variety of bread items and tempting cakes on display and it was clear, the cafe has a good, regular local customer base. Friendly and cheerful staff, try it out when next passing, you will not be disappointed

There's plenty on offer at The Bake House, including all day breakfasts, hot and cold rolls, sandwiches, paninis, jacket potatoes, burgers drinks and much more. Eat in or take away , sit inside or outside at the back. The cafe is clean, the service was friendly and efficient. They also do outside catering. A great find.

After popping into the Bakehouse on the off chance I am now a regular customer! Firstly the service was excellent, all of the staff were happy to help and were very welcoming. I had a full English breakfast which came out quickly even though they seemed to be busy. The food was amazing, best breakfast I have had in a long time, all perfectly cooked, which is great as I am very fussy! They have so many yummy cakes and pastries on display and also had a wide variety on the menu such as jacket potatoes, sandwiches, rolls, burgers, chips, panini's and a good selection for kids too! My friend had a vanilla late and said it was the best late she has ever had!

I had a amazing bacon, egg, sausage breakfast roll. The BakeHouse really know what a well sized breakfast is. Delicious food and lovely bakery.
