Not as good as it used to be, ok but not wow, still only take cash which is unusual.

It's a take away so it doesn't really have an atmosphere. Great food though. You need to pay with cash.

Tried this place as our normal Chinese was shut. Friendly staff, quick order, only took ten minutes! Seaweed and chowmein were good, sadly the crispy shredded beef wasn't crispy and kinda dry and the chips were soggy and didn't have much taste. Pretty pricey compared to our usual.

Love this Chinese. Just wished they stuck to the opening times. I find they tend to shut early. The food is AMAZING the quality of the meat is really good. Not cheap watery rubbish. Highly recommended

Been staying in the area for couple of weeks ,had three takeaways from here phone order to collect always ready for time ordered, food was in my opinion excellent hot full of flavour you could taste each individual meat ,prawn ,veg . Veg spring rolls best ever ,when in the area again will be ordering again

Had a takeaway from lucky star tonight it was loverly salt and chilli chips best around curry sauce loverly fluffy fried rice nice chicken balls trust me u won’t be letdown best Chinese around very friendly staff as well

Best Chinese takeaway in the area, I have sampled quite a few, this is by far the best!

Have been going here for years and normally good, however this time the food was burnt, noodles being the worst so we really not very nice - come on Lucky Star, you would have known this was burnt, the noodles were black!

Pancake rolls very greasy and very little meat mostly bean sprouts.

Our regular Chinese take away recently closed so we’ve been on the hunt for a new one. We had a very good meal from these guys and reasonably priced will definitely use again.

Eureka!!! I've been looking for a Chinese takeaway since returning to this area and with Lucky Star I've found it. My meal was both Chinese looking and tasting, Brilliant!! I was so impressed with the premises, the powerhouse young lady who took my order and the constant arrival of phone order customers, who obviously were regulars. What better recommendation could I want. I will certainly be back.

Their chicken curry is to die for- thing is they know my name as they recognise my voice.....perhaps we go there too much 😂😂

Enjoyable take away, good pieces of beef and pork. Price was good, very competitive. Only problem is that it is cash only, always feels like a tax dodge!

The food here is absolutely delicious, I’ve tried lots of Chinese takeaways in the area and this is by far the best. The dishes are generally smaller than others, but the quality and taste are second to none. Very friendly staff and the takeaway is clean and hygienic.

Worst takeaway I’ve had in a long time tasteless bland food .

I have been coming to this take away for nearly 40 years, the quality of the food has been fantastic for all that time. All your favorite chinese dishes just waiting for you to enjoy. Remember cash or cheque only, no card payments but that is a small inconvenience .

First time using this Chinese and loved it.

Good food, small car park directly outside, or much larger park just across the road. As others have written, best to order before hand and collect.

We've been a customer here for many years. The food is good and consistent and the staff are lovely. It's best to order by phone and then pick up, or the wait can be long. Be aware that they don't accept cards, so you will need cash.

I have been using Luck Star for years. They have the best curry sauce of any Chinese takeaway. We moved a few miles but still go back after trying lots of others nearer.
