Booked afternoon tea to celebrate sister's birthday. Got to say quite disappointed with food. Nothing like previously peoples posted pictures. Order the premium afternoon tea but got to say only received glass of champagne which was different to normal afternoon tea. Was suppose to have different savouries but received different ones not on menu which we did not like. Was not advised of the when ordering which is poor service, also did not get different pastries ie macaroons did not get any. Got to say cakes were very poor and was very disappointed especially when you pay £60 each. Overall walked away feeling disappointed and surprised that we experienced this as we were so looking forward to it celebrating her special birthday.

Outstanding meal- everything was utterly delicious. We had the crab and raviolo to start and the pork and salmon dishes for main- I would order all again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them all! Service was also unobtrusive but attentive - a perfect balance. My only slight let down was the ‘elevator’ background music, which dimmed the atmosphere somewhat. I am to return however as the food was sublime and would like to try the other dishes.

We had intended going here for a meal during our stay, but after visiting for drink decided it wasn’t a good choice. The menu was extremely limited as they were running down stock as they were shortly closing down as the property had been sold. The property was tired and mismatched and seemed to be frequented by local drinkers. The location near the river could have been a great place and hopefully the new owners have capitalized on this. We would certainly look in again if we were visiting the area just to see how it had changed. There is stiff competition in the area with other fine eateries and pubs

We just got back from The Marlborough Hotel in Woodstock and ate at the Woodstock Arms on both evening. Having visited Blenheim Palace we spent a good deal of our time in the Woodstock Arms because the weather cold and wet. The atmosphere was great and the open fire very welcome. Our first night was a Thursday which turned out to be their steak night which included a free glass of wine. We both agreed it was one of the best steaks we have ever had. All the staff were, without exception, lovely and attentive. This was, to our mind, the nicest pub /restaurant we tried.

Very happy with our group lunch. Felt our booking for 23 people for lunch went very smoothly despite me making some last minute changes. Staff were friendly and attentive and the food was good, I especially enjoyed the bream. Our group had exclusive use of the Atrium. I will be happy to book groups here again.

The historic ambience of this old Coaching Inn makes for a pleasant spot to have dinner . Staff were friendly and helpful . However .... Many menu items were missing ( e g only 2 desserts ) although some extras were offered . Some items were significantly over priced e g > £6 for a few 1/2 slices of bread and the desserts . The quality of the turkey main was poor ( dry & overcooked ) . When it was mentioned a free dessert was offered - thanks . Overall not what I would have expected for the price charged .

There have been some mixed reviews for this place. When we got there at 6.30 it was early and we were the only people, the hearing wasn’t on and no music, however the owner did pop the hearing on and some music, it changed the ambience straight away, it’s a basic looking restaurant but we found the service and food pretty decent. We are vegetarian so had some bean curd dishes, Singapore noodles.. they were quite nice and we were happy to pay the service charge

Nice café situated in the gift shop section of Blenheim palace. Staff were nice enough and seats plenty. Ordered two cups of tea and paid £6.40 for two small cups with hot water filled half way and some cheap tea bags thrown in for good measure. Pricing does not reflect the quality of the drinks that we bought and we'll definitely avoid spending money there again

Based on positive experiences some years ago, we approached Barefoot Bakery again for a birthday cake for our seven-year-old's birthday party. When we asked about alternatives to white sugar, explaining about health issues, we were told, rather rudely "(...) in that case I suggest not buying her cakes then." Interesting approach to customer retention - the two-stars reviews seen on this forum mentioning terrible customer service finally make sense ...
