Booked afternoon tea to celebrate sister's birthday. Got to say quite disappointed with food. Nothing like previously peoples posted pictures. Order the premium afternoon tea but got to say only received glass of champagne which was different to normal afternoon tea. Was suppose to have different savouries but received different ones not on menu which we did not like. Was not advised of the when ordering which is poor service, also did not get different pastries ie macaroons did not get any. Got to say cakes were very poor and was very disappointed especially when you pay £60 each. Overall walked away feeling disappointed and surprised that we experienced this as we were so looking forward to it celebrating her special birthday.

An absolutely perfect venue with amazing staff and the added bonus of great food. Always have an fantastic time in the Orangery and Sunday is a particularly great day to visit. The Sunday roasts are to die for or afternoon tea if you are just snacking... all is just brilliant. Particular thanks to Rachel for looking after us and being an awesome host and to Keeley for being the best waitress a diner could ask for. Keeley was very attentive, polite just lovely. Thanks all for a wonderful time every time.

Went for an afternoon tea which was given as a gift. Requested one vegetarian and one pescatarian, sandwiches on both were dry and bland. Cakes were either overly sweet or overly sharp. Only part we enjoyed were the scones. We treated ourselves to a mojito which is normally my favourite cocktail but it was far too bitter. Staff brought out prosecco after we finished eating as they forgot to provide it at the start. I couldn't drink it as I needed to drive home and had already had the mojito (wouldn't have ordered if I'd have known the prosecco was included). Fed all this back to the manager who did remove the mojitos from the bill. Overall was very disappointed, we expected more from the food and service. Would not recommend or return.

Really disappointed with our afternoon tea we had on valentines day. My husband and I hardly ever get to spend quality time together as he works in the Navy and we were so looking forward to this. We were so disapointed with the quality of the afternoon tea. The cakes werent nice at all and the sandwiches were stale. We left hungry. We also have to ask the staff multiple times if I could have some sweetener for my tea. The cost was astronomical for what was served

It was our 5th visit, we always come for an afternoon tea and it is always a lovely experience. The Orangery is beautifully decorated. They serve the best breakfast tea and amazing and tasty food with it. The service is very nice and they do look after you. Lovely light and airy facility at Blenheim castle with views over the Italian garden. The food was well presented and tasted fresh. The menu is a two or three course set menu with good choices. The food was average in taste, but pleasant enough as a diversion from traditional pub fare.

The high light were the staff. Very polite and professional with there service. We were there for afternoon tea. The setting is nice but it was cold inside the restaurant, the presentation wasn't anything to write home about. Sandwiches were nice but only one round on offer. Tea isn't loose leaf. Was expecting more given the grandeur of the palace.

My daughter booked afternoon tea 1st Jan my Birthday, I was so looking forward to it only to be very disappointed the food was awful, the sandwich had a strange taste other than cucumber I couldn’t say what it was, some strange little sausage roll. The cakes the same not very pleasant, I enjoyed my scone. I also thought the sandwich portion was was poor, my granddaughters child’s portion was much the same as my daughter’s and mine adults. The Staff were lovely which made it difficult to complain, which if I’m honest we should have done.

Stopped in for a coffee on a return visit to the palace and gardens. Opted for a takeaway coffee - can only do that with a returnable plastic cup, for which you pay a deposit. So far so good. Sadly you then need to queue again to get the deposit back as the machine that takes them outside the cafe doesn’t work… Coffee was less average too. Bring your own coffee.

We went here for the luxury afternoon tea and was sorely disappointed. We were very clearly toldnthatbwe had the table for 1.5 hours but what followed was very slow service. The sandwiches were dry and the food was at best average. The waiters had the craft of avoiding eye contact down pat and short of waving a flag it was very difficult to attract a server's attention. My 4 year old nephew was wearing a birthday badge but not one waiter wished him happy birthday. Considering how amazing the rest of the Blenheim experience was, I am at a loss as to how the very expensive afternoon tea can be this bad.

Food was incredibly disappointing! No expected ‘selection’ of sandwiches! We asked if this was ‘it’ for sandwiches (only a simple turkey slider and one stale cheese and cucumber sandwich each!). We were told no, you have the 1 turkey slider, 1 cucumber sandwich, 1 mushroom sausage roll and 1 penny sized quiche (looked like the only proper afternoon tea item yet tasted like sawdust!). So yes, it was just the 1 sandwich really. The desserts were exceptionally sweet and as such we left almost all of them sadly. The room itself is quite nice but very draughty! Toilets were horrendously dirty - muddy with tissue all over the floor. Staff were pleasant but not the standard I expected from Blenheim especially at Christmas. Out of all afternoon teas we have had, this certainly ranks very low. The (thankfully unlimited) tea was lovely however, maybe to minimise their guilt about the other poor areas of the experience. Such as shame about the whole thing…better off going to a garden centre cafe!

Food fine, service bad. We attended on sunday for the xmas event. My 2 year old had an accident when playing, whilst this is no fault of the staff at all, their response was bad. He had split the back of his head open and blood everywhere. I was using a napkin to stem the flow, my friend asked a waitress for help, we had to ask 3 different people, they said they would call the on site paramedic but that was it. No immediate assistance given, noone asked if we were ok, I was about to pass out myself from the shock and blood, baby was hysterical and the staff were nowhere to be seen. No immediate first aid given. Paramedic could have been anywhere on that estate with it being massive. Really shocked. Noone came back to see what had happened, or even check if there was a health and safety risk. Really poorly managed and i dont want to come back as they didnt give a crap. Bad bad service and for God sake get some first aid training.

My husband surprised me Friday 29th Nov for my big 60th birthday There was 6 adults and 2 children. How disappointing, the food was rubbish , sandwiches hard, and not enough. apparently they had run out of sausage rolls, so supplied some think that tasted awful, none of us could say what it was, rock hard scones and the top layer of cakes looked like they had been brought from pound land, and tasted awful too. My grandchildren love cakes, but they didn't even eat them. I could see the disappointment on my husbands face, I found out how much he paid per head, can't believe you have the nerve to charge so much. I looked at the advert for cream teas at blenhiem, and they look nothing like what we were served. Will not be recommending to any friends, or family. Very disappointing.

Bitterly disappointed. Below average food, we had afternoon tea and it really didn’t taste fresh at all, except maybe the scones. No additional sandwiches offered and they didn’t give us enough cakes to start with so we had to ask for that to be corrected. In comparison to other teas at a similar price point, you’re not getting a premium tea here. Service was okay. Parking is ridiculous, it was 15 minute walk to the entrance through a muddy field. Our elderly grandmother parked closer with her blue badge but it is still a distance from the entrance and there were no shuttle busses running or help offered from 3.30pm, (which is not mentioned anywhere) leaving a 90 year old lady with walking difficulty to trexk back to the car. Would not visit again in this capacity. Pretty unhappy.

The food was delicious and surprisingly filling (scones were warm), tea was hot and fresh, and service was good (they were prompt and polite when we asked for things, but no one checked in on us and we had to flag someone down for more tea). The birthday card was also a sweet added touch. For the price I would highly recommend

A very long wait for pre-ordered lunch for a bigger group of us. Staff appeared to be run off their feet trying to cater to a full restaurant. Might be a case of understaffing perhaps. Seafood (fish) with fennel was very tasty. Noisy with the crowd. Classy interior. If you prefer quick takeaway or Cafe- there are other options at the forecourt entry of Blenheim Palace.

Came here for my partner’s birthday. Firstly, Blenheim is always an amazing venue, as you’d expect it’s a wonderful setting with a lovely dining hall and fantastic views of the gardens. Secondly, the quality of the ingredients? Fabulous! Some of the ingredients sourced from their own gardens and the meats we had were clearly good quality. share starter of flatbreads with pesto, hummus and olives - didn’t arrive until the very end of our courses having had to point out that we hadn’t been served the dish. The waitress then came over to our table to question whether we had been served the dish or not as one of the starters was served on the same board (Charcuterie). I wouldn’t recommend this dish, although the hummus and olives were lovely! Starters Deep fried brie with chutney, an interesting dish and the chutney was amazing! Cobble Lane Charcuterie, lovely salami and ham with a tasty sauce beef roast - Again, ingredients were lovely, a very tasty sweet potato puree, along with a rich gravy, the carrots and parsnips were to die for!! Roast potatoes not fully cooked through unfortunately so quite a firm bite instead of soft and fluffy on the inside. sea bass - The fish itself was amazing and made a nice dish overall. billed incorrectly - We came with a £100 voucher gifted to my partner, of which £90 was taken off our bill. Having already had to make a bit of a fuss about the starter/sharer that didn’t arrive, I didn’t question the waitress, which would have of course made my partner uncomfortable. Overall, a wonderful setting with great quality food. A nice meal but awkward service was frustrating at times.

We went for afternoon tea which quite frankly was abysmal. The sandwiches taste stale as though they’ve been made the day before or even before that! I’ve been to cheaper and better afternoon teas in small cafes in comparison to what The Orangey offer. The staff are hit and miss, some are friendly some don’t want to be there and affect the service and experience. The service is again hit and miss due to some staff caring and others not bothering. The atmosphere is ok, the room is pretty but it was cold! I know we’re in a cost of living but sitting in a cold place is not ideal.

RITA gave me a first-class 10 OUT 10 service but as for the receptionist she did not even apologise for initial behaviour although she laid my table. POOR SHOW!!!! Surprising that more people didn't dress up just a little bit for such a classy venue on a holiday. The finger sandwiches tasted great and the sweets were delicious. The pork belly was so succulent! For dessert we ordered chocolate pot with almond brittle which was very rich and nice I think I could possibly have ordered a more ornate dessert though the other dessert is rhubarb and apple crumble with clotted cream custard. Not a great experience at all. The service was incredibly slow. Not a full restaurant in the slightest as we were there for lunch service on a Monday and our soups took 20 minutes to be served. I ordered a steak burger and it was inedible. Probably the worst I’ve ever had the misfortune to taste. Once I had managed to cut through the lumps of rubbery fat I placed it in my mouth and had realised the chef had refused to leave any moisture in the meat and the moment it touched my lips, displaced all moisture from my mouth. The chef had also forgotten the relish and all the other extras it was supposed to come with. I was also only given 6 chips. Needless to say, I did not pay the £18 it was supposed to be. My partner and his mum paid £32 EACH for afternoon tea of mediocre sandwiches (one I was horrified to realise was only filled with cream cheese and chives?!?!) and lukewarm tea. I really hope I never have to come back.

Lovely afternoon tea. The staff were outstanding, extremely welcoming and attentive throughout. They ensured we had regular top ups of drinks and food. Great venue, tables well spaced out and felt really special. Definitely one of the best afternoon experiences at a good price. They packed up the items we had left to take away. The other food coming from the kitchen all looked really nice and checking the menu the prices were reasonable. Highly recommended for a special treat.

I had a fantastic experience at Costa Coffee thanks to the excellent service from Marija! She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect. My coffee was delicious, and the atmosphere was welcoming. Marija's warm attitude really stood out, making my visit even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this location for great coffee and outstanding customer service!

Three phone conversations with the hotel management eventually confirmed that a Sunday roast could be obtained in the Terrace resturant. A table for 7 was booked and confirmed. On arrival the Terrace resturant was set up for a wedding ceremony. No other dining tables were apparent. On querying this with bar staff we were abruptly told "not our problem".Eventually found a deputy manager who set about laying up a dining table amongst the wedding guests ! Meanwhile we tried other local venues but couldn't get in within our timescale. We eventually sat for our anticipated Sunday lunch in a crowded golf club bar surrounded by a multitude of wedding guests. The food was obviously recently pulled out of the freezer, looked and tasted same ! HOPELESS !!We recommend training for front of house management in the art of coordination and courtesy for members of the bar staff.

I am genuinely so upset by our experience at the Tite Inn today. More so that I had recommended it to our friends we were visiting with - one of which was celebrating her birthday - so it was very embarrassing for me too that we had such a horrible experience. We came a couple of years ago so maybe it’s under new management now? But the website and the reviews still looked good so a month ago I booked again for Sunday lunch today. My photos attached to this review show the website THIS MORNING and there was absolutely no mention of what we experienced when we arrived. On arrival, a chap, who I shortly found out was the manager, greeted us and pointed us (not showed us) to our table. There was no mention of menus, or what the process was to order food. We sat there and eventually I went and asked at the bar for menus and was told ‘it’s beef, turkey or pork’ and that was that. I asked about starters or even a menu or anything and he just said ‘that’s all we have, it’s Sunday’ so then I was really confused and asked about starters to be told really shirtily ‘there’s no room in the kitchen for starters on a Sunday’ (weirdest thing I think I’ve ever heard in a pub) and I was desperately trying to understand WHY and HOW their website stated the menu for a Sunday, with starters, mains, sides and desserts and there was nothing from the time I booked to the moment we started questioning what on earth was going on at the pub to finding this out. I then asked for the manager to discover this very rude and quite arsey chap was indeed the manager and I was keeping my voice down as there were a lot of people behind me drinking and eating but I was trying to ascertain what was going on! When I questioned the menu and the website, I was told some mental story I couldn’t make head nor tail about with reasons why the website gave essentially completely false information. Some excuse about not being able to get in touch with whoever runs the website. Then I challenged him by saying my booking had been with them for about a month with my email address and phone number to inform me of the massive change to the menu, or lack of, and was told something along the lines of ‘I can’t possibly keep track of emails/bookings for everyone!’ Really truly shocking. We had no idea what exactly came with the roast dinner (again, no menu or even a chalk board telling us anything) and when I asked, as there were no starters, were there any desserts was told essentially no to that too! ‘We can possibly get something for you’ was the response to dessert. The general attitude was appalling and the only reason we didn’t walk out was because I didn’t want to make a scene to our friends who were with us and as we aren’t locals we didn’t know where else we could go without a booking on a Sunday. There was a couple of cursory murmurings of ‘sorry’ from the manager but no offer of anything whatsoever to make it right - free round of drinks or a tiny bit off the bill perhaps? I honestly ran out of energy with the manager when I was talking to him as he was essentially arguing with me telling me the website being completely false and there being only a one course option of three meats with no more information or even price, no starter or dessert option and how disappointed I was didn’t seem to care and made me feel like I was somehow in the wrong. Really upset me and I went back to the table to my friends feeling really sad. We ordered our roast dinners, I asked for an extra bowl of veg for our dog which I would of course had paid for (last time we came they made a huge fuss of her and obliged in the extra veg) was no where to be seen. The table behind overheard and gave us their spare veg for the dog so we told the staff not to bother…they’d forgot anyway. On paying the bill, the manager seemed to be lurking in the doorway behind the bar perhaps expecting me to complain again and ask for discount and it seemed when he saw we were paying (the full and frankly overpriced bill of around £28 per head for a standard turkey or beef roast dinner - plain peas and not very appetising cauliflower cheese) he vanished without another word. Not to be seen again. I am truly shocked and disappointed by all this. We ended up asking the bar man where the nearest supermarket was for our dessert as I didn’t want another confrontation with the manager about how difficult it was to get any other course besides a bog standard roast dinner. The young waiter and the bar man were both polite and did a table check to ask if the food was ok, it was adequate (definitely not worth the price) however even if we had complained that the cauliflower cheese wasn’t particularly nice, would we have got anywhere?! Shame as you were such a lovely pub and we had fond memories from last time, you might even be able to see my previous review and see how much of a completely opposite experience we had! But no menu, one course, no real apology or any suggestion of what they could do to make it right, despite me saying we had been guided by essentially false advertising on the website really was an awful experience. I felt so sorry for my friends who had taken my glowing reviews! Whatever has happened since last time, I hope you improve. We won’t be back to find out. Your manager needs some serious training…I used to work in hospitality and never ever have I ever hear such a string of bizarre excuses to problems with no hint to compensate or even apologise properly to the clearly very upset customers!

My main memory that i will take way from this visit to this particular Nero is the great staff who were very friendly efficient and knowledgable; plus I was served promptly given the busy nature of the shop at the time of my visit. Nero's coffee is by far the best on the British High Street.
