Went later than normal lunch so wasn't so packed and sat in the undercover corridoor just outside the giftshop entrance. It was quite cold out in the courtyard and indoors seemed a bit chaotic with lots of staff clearing tables and kids running around. The ordering line blocks the view of the cakes so you need to be in the line to see them, but it moves so slowly and you can't get a good look at everything all at once which made me bounce between decisions a lot. The location of the clean trays didn't make sense and I had to leave my spot in the line to pick one up. Others in the queue didn't mind though so I was able to jump back in, but not before another couple hijacked my empty space to get the till operator to fix their order which had something wrong with it, leaving me standing there a little awkwardly holding an empty tray for a while. With my poor eyesight I couldn't make out the small writing on the menu which was way back behind the till and everything turned out to be quite pricey but that was expected. Ordered a carrot and walnut cake, sausage roll, and a latte. My coffee was excellent, though I had to stand there with a loaded tray waiting for it as it was the slowest moving part of the process with only a single barista and machine. The susage roll was still hot and really tasty, and the cake was fantastic. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Not great. Disappointing panini which was warm not hot. I'm sure the old duke can afford a sandwich toaster to make the food more appetising.

Coffee was terrible Jericho Coffee Roasters would be appalled if they knew it was this bad. Panni was cold. Hot chocolates were watery and the BLT was not real tomatoes, it was salsa. It was overpriced and rubbish food and drink.

Customer service was dreadful and many of the staff were either totally unwilling to help or blatantly rude! Normally I would be ready to accept that people have bad days and can't be at their best all the time but this was so bad all round that I felt the need to write a review. The person taking drink orders had no idea what drinks they had and refused to find out. Eventually I gave up (having suggested any likely possibilities i could think of, all of which she said they didn't have). I walked round the corner to find all the basic drinks she said they didnt have were standing on a shelf. So we ended up going back in the queue to start the whole process again. There was nowhere to sit and staff were unwilling to open up the seating area. A couple of staff tried but were told by management said they weren't allowed to. The entrance area with a couple of tables was overcrowded, extremely noisy and there was no space. We also couldn't hear each other. So we ended up sitting in a cold windy outside passageway. Not long after we sat down we were told they were about to close (45 minutes before the closing time given on their website). They were then reluctant to let us use the toilet on the way out and one member of staff was particularly rude about this. I used to go to the cafe here fairly regularly but I would advise against it. It is a really unpleasant place to be.

Disorganised customer service sadly. Website clearly states open to 5:30pm as well this being confirmed by staff who served me. We were rushed to finish our drinks by 5pm and told opening hours were on a winter schedule. Also staff serving didn't know what variety of drinks were available. Considering such a beautiful place to visit the experience in the cafe needs to improve please!

Wonderful atmosphere and food! The cakes are very fresh and mostly sold out. You must try the Victoria sponge cake. Great service overall

Nice cafe serving drinks and some basic food like scones and cakes. There’s indoor and outdoor seating. It can get busy in the peak summer. They don’t seem to mind you eating your homemade sandwiches if you buy a drink here.

Disappointing Over priced drinks where you have to pot your own milk, dirty and staff useless!! Really disappointed and would rather go to daylesford. If your going to charge high prices and least have the experience to go with it.. I’ve had far better at a roadside cafe

The worst egg salad baguette I've ever tried to eat. Coffee is OK, loud echo chamber to eat in. Work experience staff. Pretty poor.

My first visit to Blenheim palace. Stopped in the Pantry at opening time for a hot chocolate. £3.40 and relatively small mug, also just out of a machine- not very impressed. Popped in again around midday for some lunch. Opted for the box salad (quiche, coleslaw, potatoes, salad) ticket price marked at around £7 but young girl.on desk tried to charge more, when I queried and showed her ticket price she admended it-which was fine. Very nice boxed lunch salad.

Avoid the scones! Dry and dense. Clotted cream was rock hard and dry making it inedible. The coffee, however, was good 👍🏻

Popped in for a drink and snack before going into Blenheim exhibition. Disappointing Mocha, and most annoyingly, displayed examples and menu displayed food items not available until late morning, so why have them appearing to be available? Decided not to return to eat later on.

Since the restaurant was unavailable for a private event, we had an iced latte, salmon bagel with chicken & avocado focaccia, chorizo roll, and fruit salad. The dining area was bright and clean, and the food was delicious. The high chair was also helpful. There were many types of baked goods (carrot cake, chiffon cake, brownies, etc.), so I would like to try something sweet next time.

Quite sub-par. The drinks aren't cold, the food is mislabeled and quite disappointing quality. You'd need some fairly low standards to be at all pleased at this cafe. Must try harder.

Was impressed with this cafe, it was well maintained and had a brilliant range of cakes, light lunches and hot and cold drinks. The cakes were delicious and the sandwiche I had was fresh. The only downside is that when I went back in later in the day a lot of stuff had sold out.

Lovely selection of cakes, as well as pizza slices, sausage rolls etc. All a bit expensive, but only what you'd expect. Good outside seating front and back.

The catering lets down the whole Blenheim palace experience, not hot food just rolls or sandwiches, no children’s options, looking at the other comments this has been going on for years ! I think the catering is outsourced so they don’t care.

The Pantry is the most overpriced cafe we know and has the worst service, with all utensils, cups, plates, etc. made of paper, and the seating is basic and grudging.

Disappointing "choice" of hot food at 1.30pm Friday - three spinach ,feta, butternut squash pasties, a bundle of sausage rolls. Have to say thought that the veggie pasties were delicious - I feel sorry for the customers that followed us limited to sausage rolls. Lunch time people - stock up and satisfy customer demand.

Not much selection when we visited as most items were gone from the cases. Line was very long and slow as the cashier was also the staff member who made espresso drinks.

Atrocious Staff. Rude, and unhelpful at the service counter. Tables full of empty cups and plates and when we tried to clear the tables ourselves to make some space for us to sit, the lady refused to take them and told us some one would come to clear up. No one came to clear up, so we sat on a table to eat our lunch which was full of someone else's rubbish. When we placed our order at the counter, the server wandered off for a while half way through making our order with no explanation or apology when they got back. Really disappointing service since the food and drinks aren't exactly cheap.

This place is a complete shambles with no organisation at all, 3 separate tills but they insisted on everyone queuing at one till with very ill mannered staff who appeared to have no customer service skills at all! The cakes were help yourself and people had their coat sleeves dangling in them and people were coughing and sneezing over them totally unhygienic! We witnessed trolley loads of cakes and pastries all pushed thru the crowded restaurant uncovered and open to all the germs, dreadful! We won't be returning and expected a far nicer experience here, but will take our business to the nearest Costa or Sainsbury's cafe which in all is a far better and more pleasant experience!

This cafeteria fulfilled its function. It's located at the palace, provides a quick bite, is chaotically crowded and the food was undistinguished but reasonalby priced. Perhaps it was an error to have the hot food....

We didn’t have much time, and this was the perfect place for us to have a beer, tea, sandwiches, and a cake. (We tried the fancier place across the courtyard but were told we could only order two Afternoon Teas, and may not combine 1 Afternoon Tea with the other person ordering from the lunch menu. Lol.) Glad we ended up at the Pantry. The service was much, much friendlier too!

We just went for a quick lunch and a drink and pleased to find Gluten Free options for my coeliac wife. The sandwiches were fresh, well filled and tasty and the drinks were good and hot. However, 4 sandwiches and 4 drinks costing £30 is daylight robbery!!! the same fare in M&S restaurant would be less than £20 and that is expensive!!

I wasn’t impressed. No green tea. Coffee and a very watery Hot Chocolate nearly £3 each served in paper cups. Victoria sponge nearly was dry. No serviettes. No forks. A bill of £12.30 for very average fare. No finesse. Indifferent service.

Attractive cakes and pastries with good coffee at this newly refurbished cafe in the Old Dairy. Plenty of seating either at the far end of the shop, within the dairy or along the cloisters and spilling out into the courtyard on the sunny day when we visited. We started our visit to Blenheim here with coffee and scones and liked it so much we went back just before we left for tea and lemon drizzle cake. Everything hit the spot.

Visited between Xmas and New Year with my Partner. The Palace is beyond adequate description but The Oxfordshire Pantry lets it down badly. Servers who all appear to be the first day on the job, no clear direction as to where to pay. Utter chaos and an ever growing queue. Blenheim, you need to sort this out as it's letting the rest down.

This nice little coffee and sandwich shop is located in the visitor center and is good place to begin and end your visit to the palace. There is nice selection of pastries, coffees, teas, sandwiches and some english pies. There is nice seating area and the service is counter style and very efficient. Take a break here and enjoy a nice relaxing break from all there is to see in the Palace.

Whilst visiting Blenheim Palace on 12th September we wanted a lunchtime snack and this place fitted the bill. It is self-service and was quite busy, but we didn't have to wait long. Seating is provided inside, or outside in the courtyard. Much of the food is pre-packed, with disposable cutlery, etc., so handy to take away if you want to picnic in the extensive Palace grounds. As we expected it wasn't particularly cheap - two cans of lemonade, a pack of sandwiches and a ploughman's baguette came to just over £15.

We didn't want too much at lunchtime but what we had was nice and it was good to sit down for a while before more walking. It was busy and the queue to pay for our food was quite slow but staff were cheerful. We found a seat easily and the area was clean. Most people cleared their tables and put the tray on the trolley so tables were constantly available. The cakes looked lovely but thought they were a bit expensive.

3 of us had wonderful lunch after Blenheim visit ( cafes great there too but we also love pubs) on a weekday, had reservations. Okay service but what stood out was atmosphere, location, good food!

Service was good and the coffee average. Where Costa Chipping Norton exceeds all expectation is in the grubbiness of the furniture. All of the soft furnishing looks like it has been a recent victim of incontinence. I would have sat on a chair but fear I might have caught the plague off it. Burn it all!

A great Costa Coffee! The staff are hardworking, friendly, and keep the place spotlessly clean. It’s refreshing to see such a positive and hands-on store manager. Even though it’s a busy location, the service is always top-notch. I’m also loving the autumn drinks on the menu right now!
