Very pleasant social experience. The prices ere reasonable and the staff very friendly and efficient.

The pizza at lunch time is delicious.

Dogs allowed in the sports bar but no kids. Kids allowed in the lounge but no dogs This is far from a dog and family friendly pub

Absolutely awful, service was so slow, food was very small portion, nachos hardly anything on it, chips get about 8, then you got to have kids out by 6pm, the big guy told us 5.59pm kids have to leave very bluntly, wouldn't recommend to anyone! And I've seen from other reviews that the big guy guessing landlord is rude! Do not spend your money in there!

It was mums 90th birthday and made us all feel very welcome 👍👍

Always welcomed. Unfortunately prices were to high and less than a handful of offers on drinks (brewery pricing). Food was amazing until brewery got involved.

Best cooked breakfast freshly cooked with high quality meats I have had in a while! And it was actually hot, not just warm. Pizza was also very tasty 🍕***** Would definitely recommend.

Pretty mellow sports bar and lounge. You'll love it if you're a sports fan as they have multiple TVs with sports on all the time. Great and friendly staff.

Nice to have a chicken burger that was koto over done. Helps If who your with know all the staff and owners etc.

Not sure of the area so took a risk! The food was very disappointing! Paid £8.95 for nachos, which was crisps with a small amount of grated cheese. Would never go back which is a shame as in the are for a while. Avoid for food!

Quiet for a Friday night, but far easier to be served than the Eagle down the road. Beers good, fairly friendly staff, but helpful non the less.

Excellent pub grub at its finest, a lot of the menu is homemade, I had the Beef Chilli, with rice plus nachos, with dips...Homemade & tasted divine, made with beef chuck or brisket, but melted in the mouth rather than simple mince, coming back next year after RIAT24 again 😋

Went there to see a band called the Skadinals. They were very good and it was a fantastic night. The Beehive has a nice atmosphere. They have a large seating area outside,which is great on a warm night. It's a covered area so you won't get wet if it rains. It was absolutely packed so you can understand why it took so long to get served a drink. Still a very nice pub.

A pub where you feel very uncomfortable, with a bar man who stairs at you all evening, the drink isn't all that good either, if you want a drink in Carterton i would go else where to a local village

Absolute awfull place , my austistic 17 year old daughter was refused entry and was verbeally abused by the landlord at the door. Call this a family pub , seriously avoid if you have austistic children as you will be refused entry and abused, absolutley appauled by the landlords attitude to autistic children , my daughter was so upset by his disgusting attitude and comments . Food poisoning, had one of their take away pizzas , was ill for 3 days after , worst food in carterton , their hygeine is so bad in that pub

Although food is nice there was an issue with our order that they refused to admit fault after a long deliberation it was worked out. Pizzas tasted good and drinks were nice just needs an up on customer service

i don’t usually write reviews, but had to write one about my experience today. i took my friend for lunch for her birthday and had a lovely meal! staff were super chatty and friendly. food came out quick and hot. really lovely experience. will definitely be coming back again soon! recommend ordering the halloumi fries they were amazing😍 thankyou beehive for a lovely lunch😌

Absolutely shocking, wlaking in with a group to have 1 drink at 2245. Rejected service because they 'couldn't be bothered to serve us'. The worst service and this was there attempt at redemption after a previous altercation. Such a shame forma previously welk run establishment

Good pub and the pizzas were fresh, we stayed there the whole day watching the rugby and the bar staff were lovely, prices were good and I would recommend as your daily pub!

After arriving for a quick lunch with my family, first no one seemed to notice us as if we were invisible and then when we asked if they were serving today we got told that we should have booked as they have bookings, meanwhile it was empty. The customer service is not very good at all and we will not be going back.

Great atmosphere. The Pizza's are not to the standard that constitutes the price.

Steady pub. My first time in here although I have been in the area a while. Good selection of beers/IPA. A pool table, darts and Sky sports. Good atmosphere and great if that's what you are after

A great place to go, much nicer than the other tiny pub The Siege, you can have a great time with friends and family, the foods good and way more choice of drinks at better prices.

Quite pricey but a good Friday night. Good range of drinks. One quieter area round one side, more lively side round the other.

Went to lunch with friends. Order came out in quick time and it tasted amazing I had 1 of their ciabatta melts and it was delicious. Always love popping in for food as its always been top notch 😊👍

What a fabulous pub, good food, good drink and lovely staff. I had gammon steak with chips and eggs, was really really really good, hot and very tasty. It was a real pleasure, really great pub grub and can't wait to go again.

We booked online earlier in the day to eat there that evening for my Mums Birthday. The dining booking was accepted and we arrived just before our booking. My Mum went in and told the man in there that we had a table booked. He asked if it was for food and said ‘we don’t serve food on a Tuesday’ and left it at that! A few hours later I got an email telling me that I’d successfully cancelled my booking!Why do they have a system that lets you book on a day they don’t serve food? The man could also have been a lot nicer to my Mum and at least been apologetic!

The absolute gent just inside the entrance could do with some lessons on manners, incredibly rude. It’s not how you build support. I wanted to leave as soon as I got there. We were in Carterton for a morning event and thought we'd try the Beehive for lunch. Excellent Covid secure arrangements in place for toilets and social distancing. Landlord took our details. Certainly not rude but perhaps comes across as a bit abrupt in making sure everything is covered for safety reasons. Good, filling, reasonably priced 'pub grub' sandwiches - cheese and chutney & bacon, chicken, lettuce & tomato - and great chunky, crispy, fluffy chips.

Whilst visiting friends in the area with my family, we decided to visit the Beehive for an afternoon drink. Our group consisted of 4 adults and 2 toddlers. When entering the building we were confronted by the landlord who rudely pointed at the children and said “no children allowed”. When asked if we could get a drink and sit outside, his reply was “again, no children allowed”. We tried to reason with him again, and yet again his only reply was “no children allowed”. His customer service was disgusting and spoilt what could have been a peaceful drink with friends. Our friend entered the pub and approached the landlord to get an explanation, and the landlord stated that he wasn’t rude, and that he had told us three times that children were not allowed. He said they cannot have children in the pub past 1900, however we went for a drink at 1815. All in all a bad experience, with a landlord who needs to learn some manners. 1 star is too much!

Absolutely shocked by the way the landlord spoke to my family and our friends as we approached the door with our buggies.He has a policy that children cannot be on his premises at certain times. He spoke to us as if we were thugs looking for trouble.I will never go there again!!!!!

This place is OK for a quick pint and food if no other options. Standard mass produced food. Can take a little while to get served at the bar.

Dont bother unless you want to be treated like a you are a worthless human being! Bad atmosphere bad vibes an bad attitude and bouncers are just horrible!Bar staff are fine tho, Would like to see the place shut down and turned into a wetherspoons.Bouncers stand on the doors like it's some special place and decide for themselves whether or not you are worthy to enter The place is a joke......

Food was ok, good roudy atmosphere. Sadly I was there for a family meal and it didnt really suit that. But still a good average bar

Arrived for a family breakfast on sunday morning. Well worth the little wait for them to open. Lovey sausage bacon could have been a bit more crispy buts that's just personal preference, lovely poached eggs that where cooked just right.

Nice snack meal in the early evening. Charming bar staff. Very comfortable.

Went in with my family food was nice but my nine year old nephew only wanted nachos and cheese no jalapenos guacamole or salsa which is what he got but when it came to paying we still got charged nearly £8 I asked the young girl serving and she said that's what i had to pay do give this pub a go just dont expect a discount if you dont have a full meal

Big local pub great for watching top sports events. They have lots of tv screens including a big drop down projector screen in the corner which gives a great view from a wide area. There is a good choice of beers.

Friday night, 3 bar staff and a full bar.. 25 minutes to get served.

The owners are both disgusting excuses of human beings, constantly rude and arrogant, the beers on tap are weak af, I've had a stronger flow out of my shaft. Went in a few weekends ago on a Saturday and they said we weren't allowed in after 11pm and the door staff said there was 30 people in and apparently there limit is 450 and even when people where leaving we still wasnt allowed in. I've also seen the owner drop sauce on a table and swipe it up with his finger and obviously went into his mouth avoiding 18 of his chins before handling food! No wonder people call it the beedive I'd rather eat and drink on a cancer ward.

Wide variety of food and they are use to helping people who have a allergy problems . Very reasonable prices and plenty to eat. Most of all friendly staff and atmosphere 👍 😊

Nice pub if you're looking for a few beers, somewhere to have a perfect pub meal and a great place if you want to watch sport. Loads of tv's in the bar so if your team isn't on the big screen, it'll be on one of the others.

The beehive has been my local for over 4 years. Always receive a warm welcome and is child friendly within restaurant hours (abiding by their rules). Staff are friendly and chatty and ive always been served with a smile. Food is the best!! Yes, it can be seen as expensive, but you pay for quality food. Visiting family and friends always comment on how nice the food and staff are. Always clean. If you want a pub meal in a friendly, clean pub with amazing food, then look no further than the beehive.

Excellent breakfast this morning from the amazing team at the Beehive Carterton. Best way to start a weekend. Thanks Vicky the eggs were perfect as always! Visited today with my family from newcastle. The staff were very friendly and chatty. We ordered the fish & chips, ham egg and chips, 3 baguettes and 2 beef burgers. The food was consistantly brilliant and everyone enjoyed their meals. The drinks were pricey, but served perfectly and with a smile. There is plenty of signs indicating whats on on different days, and the staff were very good at informing us of an upcoming band this evening. We always have a good experience here and always look forward to our return! Thank you to the guys at The Beehive

Had been out for dinner with friends and decided to stop off for a drink in the bee-hive on the way home only to be told no entry after 11pm. This is not mentioned on their website. It's not somewhere I would normally visit due to the general standards of cleanliness, standard of service and price of drinks. Happy days, early night and saved quite a few bob. Recommend the website and social media pages are updated to reflect the revised opening hours.

Disgusting behaviour from the bar manager on saturday night. Young girl collapsed and became unconscious inside the pub. She was taken outside by other her friends and laid on the benches outside. While she was looked after by other people who were also out drinking, bouncers were asked if they could call 999 for an ambulance. They ventured in to the pub to ask the bar Manager for a phone, to then be told by the bar manager "not to get involved". You need a reality check mate, she could have been seriously ill and not been drinking. Would have taken 2 seconds to dial 999. If something serious had happened, that wasting of a couple of minutes of telling your bouncers not to get involved could have cost a life if it was serious. Hopefully the young girl was ok. But just to reiterate, absolutely disgusted by the bar managers behaviour! Should be sacked!

Awful experience , met by an extremely rude man with his gut hanging out!! The customer service was non existent!! Food was bland, small portions and looked like it was thrown on the plate, left most of it!! Wouldnt of fed it to my dog. Avoid at all costs , the place was dead at 1pm on a sunday that sums it up..
