Had a quick sit and a cuppa outside on the terrace at the rear of the palace. The serving area is only small and is a caravan located in the corner - reduced facilities due to Covid. There is seating with umbrellas with lovely views of the fountains and gardens. A pleasant spot.

We visited this cafe on Sunday, 20 September 2020. I bought a chicken Caesar salad baguette, which quite frankly was awful as there it was virtually all bread with no filling. We had paid £4.65 for this and at this price one would expect better quality. I took the baguette back to the till area where one of the young ladies who was serving was very apologetic and understanding. I was directed towards the serving area where I was served by what I'd describe as a rather rude, abrupt and surly young man. The baguette was exchanged for a cheese and onion pasty, which to be fair was delicious. Blenheim Palace is one of this nations important properties and should be remembered for the right reasons and not for rude staff.

Visited Blenheim Palace twice this month and disappointed on both occasions by Terrace Cafe staff. Rude and extremely grumpy towards me and my daughter. We took our own empty travel mugs and asked for two teas. They advertised ‘Free Soya milk’, on the board, but on both occasions, staff shrugged their shoulders and said they didn’t do Soya milk. The lady making our drinks, was extremely rude, blatantly huffing and puffing at us. Young lad on the till was equally unhelpful, when we pointed out that the wrong labels had been placed by the wrong cakes. Later, we asked if we could have some plain tap water in our cups, and they were filled with warm water! £4.50 for a slice of cake!! Would be happy to pay this, if staff in the cafe were courteous and cheerful.

Went in for a quick lunch and service was quite quick, albeit very rude. The vegetables and potatoes were excellent, the steak pie quite good as well. But the brownie was dry and the scone was inedible; I could have broken a window with it. At the till, I told the young man that I was not going to be taking it, as I had to work to break it apart. He first accused me of taking a bit out of it, right there in the line, and then snottily said "it's a scone, it's supposed to do that". Actually, it's not. Prices were also a bit high for what you got. National Trust cafes do it much better.

Had a lovely meal here for lunch with the family. The view of the fountains and the general airy and bright decor of the rooms really makes it an enjoyable meal, plus the 'serve yourself' style of the cafe. I had the soup of the day-the lentils were a little heavy for a summer day but still very delicious, alongside a baguette, house salad and homemade scones that were hearty and filled with condiments! My parents had the fish which was well seasoned and a large serving. Obviously the prices here are quite expensive but for what we got and the view in the background I think it was most definitely worth it!

Our tour group reserved this room for the 28 of us to have a private, catered luncheon in the India Room. This room is adjacent to the other public cafe on site. The walls have large murals commemorating some English battles in India. We were served a chicken and tarragon pie … similar to a chicken pot pie in a gravy topped with a dramatic lid of puff pastry. It was much better to look at, than to eat. The cook was too heavy handed with the tarragon and the lid of pastry was difficult to eat. The pastry just shattered into a cloud of buttery crumbs on everyone’s shirt. Our dessert was a traditional English parfait called an “Eton Mess” which includes layers of meringue, whipped cream and berry sauce. Sounds yummy, but again, it looked better than it tasted.

Chaos. Not too many other words to sum it up. Advertised as desserts and drinks, after a pre event meal, it sounded ideal. Truth is they had a poor choice of drinks , the cheese vanished in seconds every time they brought an inadequate plate out, and the whole atmosphere was ruined. Considering you have to book in advance, this was very poor.

The menu offered plenty of choice. However, tables were not clean. Staff were not readily available to get the tables cleaned before sitting at them. There was no cutlery available. We had to wait long to get this and the food went cold by then. Cutlery was in the dishwasher it seems but this happened both the times we ordered - lunch and tea with cake. We were handed out plastic forks to eat the carrot cake which we felt was unacceptable at such a venue. We did get in at a busy lunch time but they should have been better prepared for this. Considering how much they charge for the dishes on the menu, we felt this sort of service is unacceptable.

The coffee was weak and the bagel stale. I appreciate the staff have to move the queue along, but it showed in their seeming lack of interest. It was very low- key fast food, not worthy of such a prestigious venue as Blenheim Palace

Went for a coffee. Whilst I was there a jazz trio who was playing and people getting up and enjoying themselves dancing it's a perfect morning.

3 of us had wonderful lunch after Blenheim visit ( cafes great there too but we also love pubs) on a weekday, had reservations. Okay service but what stood out was atmosphere, location, good food!

Service was good and the coffee average. Where Costa Chipping Norton exceeds all expectation is in the grubbiness of the furniture. All of the soft furnishing looks like it has been a recent victim of incontinence. I would have sat on a chair but fear I might have caught the plague off it. Burn it all!

A great Costa Coffee! The staff are hardworking, friendly, and keep the place spotlessly clean. It’s refreshing to see such a positive and hands-on store manager. Even though it’s a busy location, the service is always top-notch. I’m also loving the autumn drinks on the menu right now!

Great fish finger sandwich and lovely bar staff. Discovered I’d lost my wedding ring a couple of hours after leaving the pub, we went back to check if I’d dropped it there…and the member of staff was amazing and put rubber gloves on and went through the bin in the loos and found it!! What a super star - I’m so grateful! We will definitely return - thank you so much!
