Great find. First rate service. Ample parking behind the restaurant. The staff are very welcoming and accommodating. Booked online with quick email confirmation. Relaxing pace; allowed to take time and enjoy the delicious food. No alcohol on the menu (BYO) and good selection of soft drinks.

Absolutely love this little place. Proper old village pub. Traditional in every way. Great food and drinks.

Went here with some friends, I had heard positive comments from different people so my expectations were high. I had the lamb chops, some tarka dhal and a roti, with a lemonade. All were lovely and at an appropriate price for the quality, I also tasted my friends mango lassi, it was very good. Service was good and timely, especially as they were busy. I would strongly recommend and I will definitely go again. Thanks to all at the restaurant you should be proud of you what you deliver and how you deliver. Best Regards Ivan

The food took a while considering we were the only ones in there. The atmosphere was completely different to when we have been before. My partner suffered with a bad stomach after eating here. Such a disappointment as it used to be so nice

Very authentic, fresh and tasty Thai food! My partner has traveled extensively in the far east and I am very fond of Asian cuisine so when we relocated to Reading two years ago one target was to find a good Thai. This was the first time we have been to The Turners Arms and we will be back! We started with the mixed starter for two which is an excellent selection of traditional Thai starters, all very tasty and hard to find any fault. The mains were the Duck special and the Pad Kraphaw, also with duck. Both dishes were mild in terms of heat but very flavoursome, from the freshness of the vegetables and distinct flavours in the dish it is obvious these were cooked fresh to order. Great old pub surroundings and we will look forward to visiting again when the fire is lit as that would perfect the cozy pub atmosphere.

Ein ruhig gelegenes Pub mit Restaurant und gemütlichem großen Biergarten, ein Coffee Shop sowie im Nebengebäude 10 B&B-Zimmer - das Ganze von einer Gruppe von enthusiastischen, freundlichen, hilfsbereiten jungen Leuten (sahen alle aus wie Anfang 20) geführt. Die Zimmer waren um einen schön begrünten (der Gärtner war der einzige Ü30 ;-) Innenhof, in dem sich mehrere gemütliche Sitzecken befanden, gruppiert. Das Zimmer war zwar nicht sehr groß, hatte aber fast alles, was man brauchte: ein eigener Sitzbereich im Zimmer (es gab nur einen Stuhl) ist nicht zwingend nötig, da man ja im Pub oder bei schönem Wetter im Biergarten bzw. Innenhof sitzen kann. Eine Lüftung im Bad wäre allerdings schön gewesen, sodass man auch nach dem Duschen im Spiegel Durchblick hat. Über einen Kühlschrank könnte man noch nachdenken. Es gab einen täglichen ordentlichen Zimmerservice und jeden Tag frisches Wasser. Das Frühstück wurde im Pub serviert - Luxus: späteste Zeit des ZUM-FRÜHSTÜCK-KOMMENS 10:00. Neben dem typisch englischen Frühstück gab es glutenfreie Alternativen - von der Riesenschüssel Cornflakes allein hätte ich schon satt werden können. Das Abendessen war sehr gut: kalte und warme Speisen, Fisch, Fleisch, Pub-Klassiker und glutenfrei kein Problem. Fazit: Es war ein schöner Aufenthalt inclusive Public Viewing des Finales der Fußball-EM am eigentlich geschlossenen Sonntagabend, aber auch ohne aufregenden Fußballabend lohnt sich das Wiederkommen.

I ordered a takeaway for 4. The preparation time was very good. I recommend the steamed sea bass.

Have been to a few Premier Inns, this one is overall the best I've stayed in. It was busy, the large car park was full both nights, but we barely heard the other guests when in our room. The room was very clean and well furnished. The in-house restaurant served a better breakfast and meals than other ones I've stayed in with a pub restaurant doing the catering. The check in was self service, which was easy enough, though there were staff on hand if needed. The staff in the restaurant were very friendly and knowledgeable, and keen to ensure we had a good experience
