The best restaurants in Abingdon Abbey and Barton Vale of White Horse South East

Great coffee and food from full English to cakes even avocado on toast. My son was impressed with the quality and prices. It is quite often packed and quite noisy and many laptops/phones, one customer 4 seats. No easy solution. It’s still my go to cafe. Staff are efficient.

Despite what stupid people troll, the venue is perfectly set up to cope with dog visits, it’s called being inclusive! Owner met a dog, gave it a treat then washed his hands. Keyboard warriors post nonsense. We had the most delicious smoothie and were impressed with all the craft pts available too

For an absolutely unmatched dinnig experience, I’ve eaten all over the world, from Gousto’s to Gordon Ramsay’s (and of course Pablo lounge, regretfully next door). I destroyed 10 steak bakes in one sitting and fed my wife cake, we had a memorable time. Definitely recommend for Valentine’s Day or birthdays. A surprising gem in Abingdon, I’ve always walked past this unassuming restaurant. It is like a tardis inside. Large back room with an incredible atmosphere, generous portions and every dish tasted perfect. They didn’t have lamb madras on the menu but made me one regardless.

Lovely evening dining on the terrace. We were looked after brilliantly by Elisha and Billie who had a lovely rapport with our table. Thank for to the chef Anil too for preparing some lovely dishes. We could not fault the evening - great food, great company, great service and sunshine too :-)

Great sports pub in the centre. Very clean, open until 1-ish on Fri/Sat night, can watch football/F1, has pool, darts, jukebox, owner is a good lad. Doesn't have the hipster ales but who cares.

Went for a black coffee which was nice lots of food items and mess on the floor but staff didn't seem to notice also seem to have a lot of homeless people coming in to use the toilet non-stop

Always love it here, cannot go wrong with the meal deal at £3.95. I would pay that for the cake alone! Friend staff and good food, what more can you want.

Came for Sunday lunch with my two friends for my 30th. The food was good. The service, however, was pretty much non-existent. We were often neglected. Waited long times for a drinks order, had to ask for pudding menus. Staff seemed to be chatting at the bar amongst themselves and not interested not the usual service for this lovely pub! Really hope this improves.
