Went to Frolics today and cannot recommend it highly enough. Food was delicious! We ended up having the 3 courses! Lady (didn’t take her name) who served us was so lovely, best customer service ever! We will be returning.

Absolutely wonderful lunch. Everyone did everything possible to make our meal a pleasure. We had a vegan in our party and Karl the chef couldn't have been more helpful. Excellent food (I had the brisket) at a very reasonable price. £20 for 2 courses. We were treated like kings

Another fantastic lunch served by the attentive friendly Nico, food was delicious , very hot. My husband had the lamb kofta which came with a lovely fresh salad including dressing and a grains/rice mixture that he was impressed with. I had the sweet and sour fish which was accompanied by fresh home made chips and prawn crackers. Can't fault the food or service, looking forward to coming back soon.

Absolutely amazing pub, with fabulous owners. Nothing seems to be any trouble at all. Helpful in the knowledge of the area. Fantastic halloween desplays, and atmosphere. Parking to the rear entrance, lovely walks and a park nearby. Our grandchildren loved the river, park and the halloween decorations which they where aloud to gently touch and experience. Really can not fault the kindness and generosity of the owners and customers. The patience given was second to non. Thank you for a wonderful visit 😊 💕

Booked Sunday lunch carvery several weeks in advance for an office get together. Was called a couple weeks before and told carvery no longer available and we must pre-order from festive menu. Not happy but too late to start looking for something else. All the girls were smiley and friendly but the service was appallingly slow- had to ask multiple times for each course- not that busy so can’t understand why kitchen was so slow. Starter was fine. While waiting for mains, we popped outside and when we returned we saw every other diner had a Sunday roast! I asked the waitress and she said they thought it was odd- we were the only ones having the festive menu. I told her about the phone call and they asked for details so they could investigate who called me. The mains were poor- steaks were ok but served with Sunday roast sides- sprouts, carrots, cabbage and roast potatoes! All of us pretty disappointed. After asking 3 times for dessert, they arrived- tiny slices of shop cheesecake with strawberry sauce for icecream. Choc fudge cake was fine. Eton mess consisted of a tall glass of whipped cream with a half of a meringue nest stuck in top and 1 strawberry!!!! We refused them. By this time we’d had enough! They took the desserts off the bill but we still paid more than the Sunday roast that we booked for. Festive menu was simply the same menu with minor tweaks, more expensive. One of the girls insisted that the manager would call me the next day- it is now 2 days later and still no call so leaving this review as they have made no effort to contact me. Over 3 hours for 3 courses of , on the whole, very poor food- won’t be returning and let all our friends know!
