The best restaurants in St. Augustine's The Vale of Glamorgan South East

Food was cold, and sauce spilt all the bag. Wasn’t able to eat.

Great atmosphere, consistently burnt pastries for a few months now (black on the top of half the pastry), biggest issue is paying for extra coffee I don’t order. I notice sometimes it is more expensive that I imagined and when I ask they’ve accidentally charged me for extra drinks. Few times now.

Dispite it saying on the website that it was open it was shut, but no notice on the door or any apology.

Fantastic pub. Always busy. Great atmosphere to watch the 6 Nations.

So, I have frequented C1 in LLandaff, the Old Queen Street area location, and more recently Penarth. To me Penarth takes the trophy. The staff are usually smiling, even under stress of queues, and if there are any small issues they do their best to sort them out. My visit on 26 January, with family, was a little different as there was a slight problem to do with a gift card. This was given the full attention of the Manager(ess), who went well above what was necessary. Her service could not be faulted in any way. For a coffee shop/cafe this location always hits the mark. If I was to make any complaint it is that the location is almost always busy, and tables can be hard to find. That in itself says a lot! Well done C1 Penarth.

Ordered pizzas and sides for a large group of people late at night, thinking they were open until in the early hours of last Sunday night. When we arrived to the store to collect the pizzas the doors were still open, it was already 23:20 and the staff informed they close at 23:00 but they still took the order we made online. He was kind about the situation and still made fresh pizzas for us. Thank you for your service!

We went for the meat feast pizza. It was a great Pizza and we would highly recommend.

Excellent Chinese. Lovely staff and the food was amazing best Chinese I have had since moving to Cardiff. Chips were out of this world. Good value for money.

Simply isn’t very good.. I’ve had a few great meals in the Clay Pit but I’ve had as many poor meals too.. I’ve just eaten a chicken korai which on the menu is listed as Spicy and it simply wasn’t.. to me it was a poor medium chicken curry with added green peppers and onions. Sorry guys it was less than ordinary.

Disappointed with this Costa branch. The shop consistently closes earlier than advertised, which is very inconvenient. On top of that, I’ve overheard staff using inappropriate language, which is unprofessional and off-putting. What’s more concerning is seeing staff leaving with large bags of food at the end of the day. It leaves an impression that food waste might not be handled properly or fairly. This branch really needs better management and customer focus to uphold Costa’s usual standards.

Locale con stile e arredo che se poteva andar bene 50 anni fa é ora decisamente superato sicuramente non elegante e tantomeno raffinato Al piano terra si avverte entrando un forte odore di pesce e trovo la cosa poco gradevole cibo assolutamente deludente: il pesce da me scelto ( sogliola Dover) sembrava decongelato senza sapore consistenza stopposa e asciutta per la modica cifra per il solo pesce di 47 sterline!!!!! Conto finale elevato assolutamente non adeguato a quello che è il locale e alla qualità del cibo Aggiungo ( per dare l’idea dello “stile”del locale) che eravamo ancora seduti a tavola in 4 persone e una cameriera si é presentata con in mano uno straccio umido e ha pulito il tavolo ( che è senza tovaglia e sottopiatto…..) in modo molto sommario girando intorno a bicchieri e bottiglia e lasciando comunque macchie di cibo Per finire: nel pomeriggio ho cominciato ad avere nausea, che è durata tutta la sera e la notte, non ho cenato, ho solo bevuto tisane La mia recensione è del tutto sincera semplicemente ho cercato di motivare il voto basso attribuito a questo ristorante dove l’unica nota positiva è la vista mare

Went for breakfast and found the food, drinks, service and facilities all excellent. Would highly recommend if anyone is in the area.

There's not much to say about this Gregg's. The food is average however its a clean place and the staff are friendly. The prices are satisfactory you cannot really complain.
