We had afternoon tea for two and the best afternoon tea we have had, booking 24 hours before and you are asked what you would like in your sandwiches, we haven’t been asked that by restaurants before just hope you like what you get, the girls are so nice and friendly and attentive, the tea stand is overflowing and they will box up anything that you couldn’t eat.

We booked the Six Bells about 6 weeks ago for my husbands 70th birthday for a group of nine people. Friends went on the internet to look at the menu only it discover that it is shut. We have had no notice no contact from then to find out what is happening. My daughter phone them NO reply. I contacted Soul 'n' Smoke only to find out they are shut due to a gas leak and they might be shut for some time. We found out with only 3 days to go that Soul 'n' Smoke would not have been there as they are on holiday until 21st March . So very disappointed in the fact that The Six Bells could have contacted us to let us know that they had an emergency and had to shut then I would have had more time to find a new restaurant to book.

We had the most wonderful stay at The Fox And Hounds this weekend for my partners birthday with our two friends. Adam is the most wonderful host and couldn’t do enough for us. Very attentive and we did now want for anything. Adam you and your staff did a fantastic job this weekend. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Our room was beautiful and the food was incredible. Thank you so much for everything this weekend. We can’t wait to come back 🥰❤️

Popped in here whilst we waited for a flight to arrive at the airport. Unplanned, and unbooked. Nice welcome. Good selection on the menu. The food is brilliant! Really really nice! Despite being full, I had the pavlova too... and I'm glad I did. Awesome place.

Well what a disaster! Going as a group of 14 for a retirement party (of someone who frequents restaurant). On arrival at booking time 20.30 ( having given a £10 per head deposit) place packed, people everywhere and most tables appeared empty of food. While we stood waiting, people , having booked, told us they’d been waiting a long time. After enquiring a number of times we were sat down to a group of tables thrown together and not set. No one came to take a drinks order but left us with menus. A member of our group’s mother came over to say that they’d been sat since 18.30 (time of their booking) but were still awaiting food! Now 9.30! We asked realistically how long it would be before being served when order taken. Told initially 40mins but then 45 -60mins in next breath. No table around us were eating! We decided to leave - despite having nowhere else to eat as now late and on asking we were easily refunded deposits with an apology. Du3 to disappoint and the fact it was a special occasion you would have thought we’d at least have a free drink ( especially as celebration was for a local, regular customer- but no! We all departed in our separate ways very hungry and greatly disappointed

Was not the best experience with dinner ...took my wife and was truly let down with the whole traditional pub hype. The food was not up to scratch for the price of each dish..my wife had hunters chicken wich came with a 2 inch thick layer of cheese and chips wich where totally cooked through to the point of them being a horrid brown colour...my mix grill was horrid the meat assortment was not cooked to edable standard and was swimming in fat also chips yet again cooked to within an each of edable...the egg wasn't even cooked properly so if you don't want to waist hard earned money give this slum a miss...over priced drinks over cooked food a total let down of an establishment...needs refurbishment and food reviewing....not a good experience

My husband and I flew out of Cardiff Airport on the morning of May 28 as we returned to the U.S., and we just had to share what a truly delightful experience it was. We arrived early for check-in and were immediately welcomed by a friendly, professional woman at the counter whose warmth set a positive tone for the rest of our time there. Afterward, we explored the terminal and were charmed by the large red dragon statue at the entrance—a popular photo spot that we couldn’t resist either. One of our favorite surprises was the whimsical beach scene with the oversized chair. It gave us a wonderful moment to sit and reflect on our trip. What made it even more special was Robert Lewis, a member of your team, who kindly offered to take our photo. He didn’t just snap one—he made sure we had several great shots to choose from. Thanks to him, we now have one of another fond and unique memory of our vacation. We also stopped by the Sheriff’s biltong booth, where the woman there enthusiastically explained the treat to us. She was a great ambassador for Welsh flavors and hospitality. Everywhere we went—duty-free, restaurants, shops—we were greeted with smiles. And I must say, your sundries shop deserves special praise. I had forgotten to pack footie socks for the flight and was amazed to find several options there. It’s so thoughtfully stocked—a true haven for travelers. I’m from Miami, where our airport is large and busy, but I genuinely prefer the experience at Cardiff. Your airport is clean, welcoming, and filled with kind people who made the final moments of our vacation truly memorable.
