Sooo good. The owner knows and cares about the experience his customers have. Very friendly. Quality of the food - best in Henley. Good quality fresh fish, crispy well made batter. PLUS - I'm a bit of a health nut, so I was buying the fish and chips for someone else. So the owner's wife cooked me up the most awesome spicy rice (which was out of this world) and didn't charge me for it! Best fish and chips by far!!! P.S. you'll go a long way before you find anyone complaining about portion size - very generous

Henley needs wonderful little independent shops like this. We're so lucky to have them. You generally get what you pay for and this is certainly the case here. Worth every penny and the service is always warm and friendly too. Try their hot chocolate on a cold wintry day!

We loved this tiny spot in town. Great flavor selection and choice of cones and waffles. There are also pint and quart sizes to go. Pricey but worth every bite. Wish it were open later in the day!

Great steak and halibut but….not impressed with tinned potatoes. Only got one and when main came I mentioned lack of potatoes, wish I hadn’t as brought 3 more but after tasting first was so not gonna eat others, defo tinned potatoes, £28 for halibut and served with tinned veg 🤬

Mark is a 10/10 barman. He deserves a pay rise. Love the pub and love him. Old school pub with some old school vibes. Big up the brakspear pub crawl

Tried to visit this place twice and despite google saying it was open it was closed on both occasions. The latter occasion was at 6:30PM on a Friday.

Most likely the BEST steak I have eaten. Went here for the first time last Friday with some friends, was a bit quiet to start with but gave us a great opportunity to have a chat with the owner. It very quickly got busy! We ordered our food and all of us were blown away by the quality and flavour. I will definitely be eating back here very soon.

The negative review is mainly due to the quality of our hot drinks. Speciality beans but the coffee looks and tastes like it came off a vending machine. Burnt milk with bitterness and no texture whatsoever.

Went here for Sunday lunch, portions were less than generous so asked for a couple of extra roast potatoes, was charged an additional £4.99 for 1 potato cut into 4 pieces ,I asked for this to be removed from the bill and its was refused ,In retrospective we should have just refused to pay the bill and walked out ,the waitress had an attitude and the manager didn't have the good grace to even come and discuss this with us . Since its recent renovation we were disappointed, but as the old saying goes you can't polish a turd I will not be going back any time soon and would advise others to steer clear of this establishment unless you feel the need to be ripped off?
