Great establishment, standing up against fascists

Such a shame as it’s a lovely place. One of our dishes was cold and had to be sent back. Pie was very average. Next booth they had cream tea which looked lovely and the Morse bar is really nice.

It's a Waitrose, you know what you're going to get. Arbitrarily knocking a mark of because they charge £1 for a carrier bag.

waitrose must remove all "pride" cult madness from all stores. that stuff is banned. Please DO NOT buy any milk with bovaer in.(waitrose or customers) Stock up where you can. It is getting bad out there. All the staff are friendly.

Could be better not as good as other waitross shops

A great store in the centre of the town with quality products. The staff are good at their jobs, but also friendly always providing an excellent service.

Great store. Clean, spacious. Helpful, friendly staff. Conveniently situated in the centre of Henley. 1 hour parking is free (you will still need to display a ticket).

Great and good quality fresh food

Waitrose has convenient parking at the back - along with disabled parking that is FOC. You can also park in the car park for an hour (I think) FOC but you have to get a ticket and put it in your car (the instructions are clear).

This is a great store in the centre of the town, with all of the usual marvellous products. The staff are friendly and welcoming, providing an excellent service. We popped into the supermarket one Friday evening, and Ben, a staff member, was promoting a great range of wines. Well done, and thank you to Waitrose, in particular Ben, who is clearly well regarded by the locals.

I want to say a huge thank you to Waitrose staff for their overwhelming support for people living with dementia in Henley. They have gone above and beyond and are setting the standards to all food providers. From supporting someone trying to shop during the night to ladies and gentlemen needing support with their day to day shopping. Truly well done!! You have set an amazing example.

Super duper air con 🥶, bonus when making crucial shopping decisions 🤔🤭. Everything available for meal essentials plus little extras like picnic ware. Booze, sweeties and snacks. Sandwiches and fruit.

It is very well located, it has many things, not in excess and it is not cheap

Staff too busy socialising with each other.

Shop itself is well stocked with their usual high-quality products. The staff are helpful and friendly but they dont have an ATM, which is a service that is surprisingly lacking in Henley. The car park is my main concern when visiting Waitrose in Henley as the spaces are very tight and the site is very uneven, sloping in all directions. In addition to this I've seen and heard of a number of cars being damaged by people who either shouldn't still be driving or who are driving vehicles that are too big for them to manoeuvre safely.

This is the worst Waitrose I’ve ever had the misfortune of calling local. The staff really try. But, they are grossly under resourced & so there are never enough tills open. They then have the most unreliable, old, irritating self check-out. Shopping here is like some sort of sadomasochistic experience. I feel really sorry for the staff trying to do their best. There is a French lady on the tills who is simply stand-out. She is a total delight!

We have had Waitrose weekly deliveries for the past 4 years , the staff every time do their very best for the customer Shopping Instore is exactly the same over the past 32 years for us .If you compare the quality of food for instance, fruit meat etc it beats the other supermarkets, however ,you are going to pay more Nothing is too much trouble K /regards TK

Nice large waitrose. Parking is ok but can get a little busy

Yesterday we did our food shopping and no bags in store but was offered old boxes not so professional

Way inferior to other Waitrose shops. Empty and out of many products constantly. Why? Wallingford and Twyford always well stocked. No excuse. Bad ordering system must be to blame. Pathetic range of products compared to other Waitrose stores nearby. Hopeless overall. All staff on shop floor pleasant and helpful. Must be the ordering system and weak management higher up. Dreadful. Still the same and getting worse with prices increases way above inflation 05/11/2023.

Customer service was poor at the checkout about as much personality as a teapot. Will not be rushing back.

Great shop for locals and visitors. All you need from groceries, winiary, bakery and other every day items to live. Many good quality products you'll find in there.

Large supermarket in middle of Henley with 1hr free parking z but don'tforget to still get a ticket. Perfect!

Slowly and surely they are selling out of certain products that I buy regularly.... And may I add all healthy.... Are people still panic buy 🍅 tomtoes.... pistachio puddings along with saganaki cheese... No longer on the shelves... Will have to find a specialist deli...

Town centre location is useful with easy parking. Visitor to town so popped in for some basics. No complaints.

This branch of Waitrose is a fairly standard, small town branch. It sits between the Kings Rad Car Park and Bell Street. We called in to pick up just a couple of essentials, so didn’t have a thorough look around, but what we saw was fairly run of the mill.

Always enjoy our shopping for an aged relative at your store .. or online 👌… with delivery to her door.

It's a grocery store. The staff is friendly and choices are plentiful. The parking lot is often crowded.

Always a pleasure to shop here. Nicely laid out store with helpful staff. The recent re- arrangement of the store has resulted in the loss of it's homely, local feel. I guess we'll get used to it.

Great shop, as you would expect from any Waitrose. But unfortunately they have no customer toilets. I had to abandoned shopping in the end, and luckily found a public toilet across the car park.

Worked at the shop as a temp staff on short notice. Turned up helped a partner with many cages to restock shelves. When the partner went home as his shift ended I ended up struggling for the remaining 3 hours of th3 shift. I got told by my agency I was not productive enough. Not what occurred during the first 4 hours of the shift. Oh and got charged full price for a sandwich.joke

They had 10 out of the 10 items I wanted in store. Not only that some of the items were discounted as I'm a Waitrose card holder and saved £4.

Would have given 5 stars as a good experience shopping at Waitrose. It clean staff are polite, but a little pricey.

Good layout comfortable atmosphere if your like me a mask wearer ' due to imune system - most people sadly not wearing mask - hello wonder why its spreading and everyone you know has it or caught it be careful

OK service, more complicated than other waitroses to navigate around. Worst thing about it though is that they never have any stock, store may have new manager so hopefully this improves. Also some discounts on near expiring food is only like 10%, what's the point! Give a good discount to bring in line with normal food prices

Great selection of lots of goods

I rarely shop in this Waitrose, it’s not my nearest one. The first half of the store fine, but after that the shelves gets a bit close together, but apart from that it's a lovely store.

Staff could be a little more willing to help customers, especially for a supermarket that tries to stand above the rest.

On Friday 10th Dec, at 5pm I entered the Henley store to be confronted by utter turmoil. Why give a 5 star review? (It was busy, staff restocking shelves). NO it’s because two members of staff showed a calm and courtesy you rarely encounter. A young girl (they’re all young when your 65) on the deli counter who pleasantly recommended some olives I was uncertain about, done with such a pleasant demeanour and they were delicious . But the piece de resistance was at the ‘check out’ were I joined a short queue to encounter, ‘Vince’,as I learned his name on leaving. I hope I do him no disservice but he must be the oldest person I’ve ever had the pleasure of engaging, working in a shop. His manner, courtesy and subtle charm were breathtaking, passing pleasantries to the two ladies in front. I watched him take his time and saw a glint of a ‘special something’ he obviously gets from his job. Go and see why Waitrose can hold their heads high in this ageist world. Take time out to see Vince in action. Awesome doesn’t come close, don’t be in a rush as he’ll make your day if you watch and appreciated a true gentleman in every way Thank god I don’t get deliveries and no I hadn’t been drinking. Well done Waitrose.

Pretty average by Waitrose standards

Particularly wanted a French white wine but nightmare to find as the labelling to wines there is a complete shambles. Told a member of staff about it 4 days ago and nothing done. Waste of time

Click and collect was not good as we have to wait for more than 30 minutes due to the broke process

Parking in evenings and weekends is free I believe, the shop itself is pretty lively but staff are quick and friendly, the store is well cleaned and kept stocked.

We just love Henley Waitrose, the staff are so helpful, the store isn't too big and shopping is just a real pleasure there. My wife particulalry likes it, especially after winning the last 12 days of Christmas hamper which absolutely made her day. Thank you so much Waitrose, you go above an beyond in these challenging times!

Its always tidy and clean. Most cashiers seem nice.

It's not the best Waitrose store in terms of size or layout but there is such a good feel for customer service, nothing is too much trouble for staff on the shop floor and had the best till operator this evening, an older chap who had just the right level of interaction. A superb shopping experience.

Something like a maintenance shed if you know what I mean? They do usually have good stock, to be fair, but the prices? A bit ridiculous. Not my all time favourite shopping destination ever but not that bad either. Friendly staff, clean and measures taken to stop the spread of COVID19.

Staff inside were doing their best stacking. However, the people on the door were not 6ft away from customers. When I pointed this out and asked them to move so I could get in observing the 6ft rule I was told it was OK.WWhen inside, some people were not observing the rule either. I ask you, what is the point?

Good service and variety of food

Always full of their restocking trolleys. I know it is just how Waitrose operates in general, but this location seems particularly plagued by their re-stocking trolleys blocking aisles. Maybe because narrow aisles, maybe because of poor placement of re-stock trolleys, maybe because of absent minded teenager staff, maybe because of the times that I tend to shop. Regardless, always feels like I am navigating a minefield of their re-stocking trolleys (by comparison, the Caversham store, which has much narrower aisles, does not seem to have this same problem).

Always clean and tidy with good produce and helpful staff that you don't have to hunt around to find.

Very good food and clean always the same problem don't go there for a quick shop always the same problem on the basket till one was serving 12 people were waiting the other day and similar problem most days get rid of some of the mangers and get more workers like most supermarket are doing now days

You all know Waitrose. Not the cheapest but the best. This store is full of very helpful friendly staff. Nice atmosphere.

Just had a really bad experience at this Waitrose! I reported some stale and very badly 'off' food items we purchased from this Waitrose today which left my daughter and I with bad stomachs and an aggressive customer service bit my head off for complaining! This Waitrose has gone way down in my estimation. He thought I was concerned for myself and asserted that I would get my money back as though that's what I required but would not listen to me when I requested that he might ensure that the same fate should not befall other people and that they should withdraw the food items from sale at once. Very hasty, aggressive impatient and RUDE!

OK. Quite nice store, well stocked. Very busy Saturday morning and a wait for tills.

Always clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful, they are always visible so you don't have to go looking for someone if you need help. The store is always well stocked and they don't keep moving stuff around unlike some supermarkets so you can always find what you are looking for.

Medium sized supermarket, but well stocked with all the products very well chosen by Waitrose. Popular with local residents of Henley. Friendly, helpful staff. It's difficult to see what else one could expect a shop to provide.
