Good value and consistent quality food, best Chinese takeaway in Didcot

Decent! Minimum delivery £20, £3 in extra delivery&service charge when ordered online through website at checkout. Delivered in 1 hour on a Friday night. Generous servings all round, good chicken satay, solid sweet&sour pork, tried a pot of 'Capital' sauce on the side as it was unusually marked 'hot' on the menu and they weren't joking, full of chilli seeds and way too spicy for me so very glad I tried as I did.

Top Chinese takeaway, food isn't greasy at all and good portion sizes. Very tasty too.

I came here a couple nights ago and was really disappointed with my order. I ordered a chicken sweet and sour and fried rice. The chicken was overcooked and chewy while the sauce was unbearably salty. The rice was also soggy and greasy and after one spoonful I had to throw it away.

Half my food was missing and the prawns made me so sick

A decent standard Chinese takeaway. Friendly staff. Not too greasy. Always hot and fresh. I'd be keen to see them doing what Terry's of Swindon does - quorn/veggie options (eg quorn sweet and sour balls, quorn (chicken) chow mein), because veg options are limited.

Probably the best Chinese in Didcot in terms of taste and quality. However I always leave feeling fleeced. Very expensive

Very disappointed that you don't get free prawn crackers when spending over £20. I understand prices have gone up but this used to be the best Chinese in Didcot. Shame 😞

This is the first time we have used the New Beijing and it certainly won't be the last, the food was amazing - yes a wee bit more expensive than most but well worth the extra. Their Crispy Duck was restaurant quality (and better than some I have tried) and their Chicken with Coconut was to die for... We also had their Kung Po Prawns, Chilli Beef and Roast Duck Chinese style - all amazing and unlike a lot of takeaway places these days, not overloaded with onions, veg & beansprouts - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Took over 2hrs to arrive. Order was wrong. Cold when it got here, stale prawn crackers. Mains over cooked and burnt. Probably the worst in Didcot already know this is going to repeat. First time using them never again. 1 star is too many.

As always the food was great apart from the SPICY CRISPY LAMB which was neither spicy or crispy and should have been called FATTY BLAND LAMB. Shame, first bad meal ever from here and I hope the last bad one.

Happy to find this Chinese takeaway when we moved to the area. Excellent lemon chicken which is hard to find, and a good judge for overall quality. We go to this takeaway every time we want Chinese food. Always quick turnaround when we order and collect.

Oh My Goodness! got a meal from here on New Year's day - thanks to most other places not being open for business - beautiful meal, very tasty and very reasonably priced. I am going to make this my regular take out from now on. Note 📝 - they like to be paid in cash if you pop in the shop smile 😊

Saturday 3o October 2021 We rang and ordered at 1810 to night was told it would be an hour to an hour and 10mins at 8pm rang asking when it would arrive told they were waiting a driver at 8 .30 rang again and complained it finally arrived 8.40 cold even a discount did not make up for the disappointing service. If we were told it would be that long we would have gone elsewhere.

Went there,nice lady outside controlling number of customers.The "customer" in front of me basically went in there to have a long chat with the lady behind the counter while I stood outside.Eventually it dawned on him he was holding things up and left without placing an order.Got in, placed order and told cash only at end of order.Bit of a shambles tbh.

We ordered for the family this evening and two portions of our order were inedible as over cooked and burnt . Upon phoning to inform them and get a replacement sent out we were told there’s no point as it will only be the same as it was cooked today earlier on !!!! We have eaten from here many times And it’s always been lovely , they refused to give us fresh portions or a refund and said if they had someone later on this eve doing a delivery they may come and pick it back up and give us a refund - may ! My children were left with no dinner as it was their dishes . Disgraceful and absolutely inconsiderate after paying for what should have been a birthday treat for my daughter. I shall NOT be using them again .

This is our 'go to' chinese in Didcot. The food is always great and the selection is decent. Sometimes it can take a while during busy periods and they aren't the cheapest but their food is worth it and i'd rather spend a little extra to ensure a good meal. Always service with a smile. :o)

Ordered as takeaway. Fantastic menu variety and sometimes off-menu items. The quality of the food is very good for a takeaway, with generous portions, and justifies the price. Overall, I would recommend and will be ordering again.

The best Chinese takeaway food I've had. The yummy chips were ridiculously good, the chow mein was lovely, the shredded beef was crispy and the chicken and cashew nuts had plenty of chicken. It's not cheap and it's not quick, but it's worth the money and wait.

Lovely fresh quality food, very generous amount of prawns and meat in all the dishes we had. Delivered promptly to our village. Excellent service on the phone. Free cans of coke was a nice touch.

Just experienced the New Beijing Didcot for the first time. And it was the tastiest Chinese we have had for a long time. We paid a little extra but it was well worth it.......defo recommend.

Although their food is OK, they are quite slow on delivery. They have also just increased their prices a lot. They charge a lot for delivery and are always slow. Its a shame, have been a regular customer for many years, but not anymore. When I complained, they didn't care at all. My order was six pound cheaper at other Chinese, and delivery was only £2.00. Such a shame they don't care. Avoid!

Was the best Chinese I've had in months well worth the wait for them opening again always have one a month can't wait till the 25 if June.

Ordered home delivery from here this evening. Not our first time from them, but felt compelled to write a review as it was so good! The chicken balls were perfect with succulent chicken, fluffy batter on the inside and crunchy on the outside. Today we tried their version of yummy chips and they were also amazing. Different to any others we've tried, sweeter and really nice flavour. Not as much chilli or garlic as others, but that suits me! Delivery was quick compared with other local chinese takeaways and it was nice and hot on arrival. Will not order from anywhere else now - unless we dont have any cash! That's the only downside. They don't accept card payments.

Recently changed from another local Chinese which went downhill. Very pleased with the switch - the food is excellent and reasonably priced. Service is very friendly.

We have just had a delicious meal from New Beijing, portions are a good size- loads of rice and everything was really tasty. I’d recommend the crispy beef and definitely the dumplings. Order in house or by phone as the website had a few issues and it’s cash only. We will be back thank you.

The best Chinese all 4 of us have ever tasted. Better than those in Wantage, Grove & others in didcot. We popped in to order and the phones (2) rang off the hook with orders, in the 20 minutes I waited for our freshly cooked delicious tasting takeaway. We had a chicken chow mein, sweet & sour chicken balls, egg fried rice, prawn rolls, chicken egg fu yung & received free prawn crackers. Not greasy or salty, I usually drink lots of water if we get Chinese. All flavoursome and even the prawn crackers were the best. Great customer service, competitive prices and I understand why it was so in demand. Highly recommend.

Food is always great and is piping hot when it is delivered. The lady on the phone is so friendly and polite. Is always a pleasure having the food from New Beijing.

I have just received my order from New Beijing and to be honest I am a little annoyed. The order was taken promptly and arrived at the time it was supposed to. However, the entire meal has the taste, texture and appearance of being reheated. The mini spring roles are dry and "bendy". If they were fresh they would be moist, crisp and flaky. The salt and pepper chicken pieces are again dry, hard, chewy and the batter is soft. Shouldn't the chicken be moist, almost succulent,the batter crunchy? The satay chicken on skewers again are hard and dry, so dry they are stringy. Nothing about the dishes suggest freshly cooked. I know that it was delivered but that would not explain the terrible dryness of the chicken elements nor the batter. I understand that some ingredients are pre prepared, but these dishes, in my opinion have all been cooked before and reheated. £28.40 that I will not be spending here again. If you choose to then that's down to you.

We were recommended New Beijing by a family friend after using another takeaway in Didcot previously and we were very impressed. Piping hot meals, full of meat and vegetables and absolutely delicious. The portion sizes are more than ample and good value for money. Will definitely be back.

Ordered a chicken curry and this is what they sent... essentially chicken in water. Rang up asked for a replacement and they told us they were bringing it and then when we had been waiting for 30 mins and it hadnt shown up we rang and they told us it was for collection only as it was just a curry... when they got the order wrong!! When we rang up again they just put the phone down on us and refused to answer again. Definately will not be using again. Worst customer service ever

Very friendly over the phone when taking orders and the system shows who you are as soon as you call if you are a returning customer so no time wasting. Great food and great prices. All comes piping hot and never had anything missing in what is a fairly regular treat. Always happy.

Es mis chino locales así que compramos desde aquí porque era fácil. Nos alegramos de haberlo hecho. Ahora hemos estado 3 o 4 veces desde que nos trasladamos House. Me encanta la comida y el servicio es siempre impecable. Siempre amable. Los precios son muy razonables y las porciones son enormes. Ten en cuenta que si los veteranos chips de orden o arroz es suficiente para dos!

Yuck! This was terrible, terrible food. The sesame prawn toast was soggy, the wontons disintegrated, there was no discernible garlic in the Tibetan garlic lamb, the lamb was extremely tough, the mandarin duck contained hardly any duck, the sauces were gloopy, gelatinous and tasteless, and the noodles had a strange cheesy aftertaste. The only things that we're edible were the prawn crackers and the rice. On the plus side the staff are very friendly and the food arrived quickly. I'd rather wait a bit longer and get better food though. Never again!

I have tried all of the Chinese Take Aways in Didcot. The New Beijing in my opinon is the Best Chinese Take Away in Didcot. Fantastic Food, Well cooked always, Great Menu. Good Delivery time. It is worth my Five Rating.
