Choi's in South Oxfordshire

Found it to be poor quality food. very upsetting

Took a bit longer than expected to arrive but that can only mean they’re busy which is good, great meal tonight regardless

The food is usually really good, but tonight all the food was so salty we almost couldn't eat it. It didn't taste very good becuase it was just too salty. Hopefully this is a one off mistake, as we usually like to order from Choi's, but if this is the quality of the food from now on we'll have to find somewhere else. Thank you for your consideration

said they couldn't deliver eventhough all at home and we double checked our doorbell too. that is working fine. Had to collect myself. food was steaming hot.....don't even think they tried! no credit given after paying for delivery. Shame as food was good

Choi's used to be a fantastic takeaway but not anymore. I was looking foward to the Singapore style vegetable chow mein (lovely in the past) but what a disappointment! The noodles were stodgy and the whole meal was tasteless, including the few chillies! Had to warm it in the microwave but was inedible. I gave them 1 star for food as my partner's beef in black bean sauce was ok but his fried rice was also tasteless. Such a shame; we have been going there for years but won't be going there again

Rotate across other Chinese take aways but this was the best I’ve had in last 3 years

5.45pm delivery requested arrived at 5pm I got home from work at 5.40 pm, might not use again

Food was not as ordered and was absolutely disgusting. Takeaway had closed by the time we opened the food so couldn't do anything about it. Have used Choi's for years but will never do so again.

Poor tasting, oily chow mein which tasted vile and dry chicken

Choi’s used to be delicious. This time it was nothing like their usual quality, not at all tasty all salty and overwhelming curry taste and hardly any meat. Meat had big chunks of cartilage in…. Moreover the prices have gone up significantly for this poor quality. Apparently it’s under new management. I will certainly NOT be ordering from Choi’s anymore, sorry.

Another lovely meal. Tried the chicken and cashew nuts and the Szechuan duck for a change and both were really lovely. Collection slot was on time and food was nice and hot. Thank you Chois!

If I could give 0 i would. Charged us £73 delivered the order we had half of it missing! Went down there to show proof of purchase and our order summary. They said we only spent £26 when I showed the £73 came out of our account! They then refused us a refund! Not only that the women was just stood there smirking rather than apologising for their error and trying to come to a solution! Absolute disgrace, will not be ordering again! £73!!!

Food was 20 minutes late and all of it was stone cold. Beef was chewy, seaweed was stale, chips inedible, completely soggy

We always have such a good experience with Choi’s but tonight the food tasted completely different to usual. The bbq sauce was overpowered with Chinese 5 spice (or similar) and the chow mein was greasy. The overall quality of the food was much poorer than usual. Really disappointing as this has been our go to Chinese since moving to Didcot.

Ordered from them for the first time, and wasn't disappointed. Big portions, delicious. Highly recomend.

Everything was perfect however the yummy chips had what looked and tasted like the whole tub of salt on, wasn't able to enjoy or eat.

Awful food tonight, beef curry with slimy green sauce which did not even taste like curry, nearly cold on delivery, portion size a lot less than before and beef was like old leather boots, very dissatisfied, bring back lena and choi, going to go elsewhere in future

I have now given up on the thesis this takeaway restraunt is worthy of operating.within food guidelines, customer satisfaction and any contractual obligations it owes to its passing custom.Personally having under previous ownership I have praised its service but now would advise giving it as wide a berth as its inaccurate delivery times whilst the food is now of terrible quality/cold and questionable hygienic level.

Ordering through just eat and paying was very easy. Order confirmation was sent at 5.40pm. By 8pm two calls had been made to the restaurant and at this point we asked for a refund. Food was delivered at 8.30 stone cold. They have advised me that they have issued a refund but obviously I can’t see that yet. It ruined our entire evening with two children under 7 who have waited 3 hours for their dinner. Will not be ordering from here again. Really disappointed.

We not had a chinese take away for a long while, wished we'd not bothered and saved £50. Waited 2 hours for our meal to be delivered. When it came it was freezing cold. Prawn and black bean was watery as was the curry sauce, ribs were fatty and inedible.

Very disappointed tonight, sauce was very watery, chicken poor quality, food nearly cold. Tried to eat it but threw most of it away.

Chois is my go to Chinese Takeaway in Didcot. Never disappoints and tonight was no different. Think delivery was 10 mins before estimated? Food hot and tasty and plenty of it. Thank you Chois!

Cold rice and chips when it arrived, had to warm them up in the oven before we could eat it. Felt like it had been cooked for a while.

Ordered food at 6.14pm it didn't arrive until 9.07pm. Food was average. Definitely not worth the 3 hour wait.

Ordered at 19:15 and still no delivery at 21:30

Placed order at 1800 for 1900-1910 delivery, delivery changed to 1950-2000, still not arrived, chased again, told 2015. Called again at 2050 to be told about another 45 minutes for delivery, 3 hours 30 minutes plus after placing order. Needless to say, order cancelled. Gent on the phone was very good about full refund, that was back in under 3 minutes.

The food was great, but the driver had got lost on route

Food was late by 40 minutes and then when it did arrive we were missing one of the four things we ordered. Tried to call them and their phone was engaged for the 30 minutes I tried to call.

Choi's do the best "yummy chips" in Didcot because they're very generous with the spices and condiments.

Chois clearly had a problem with there on line orders this evening. However the girls behind the counter handled the chaos admirably. The bonus was really fresh and hot food when it did eventually come out of the kitchen.

Absolutely disgusting, every dish was the same, every family member couldn't eat it. Can't believe its got so bad.

Food was nice, even if portions weren’t the biggest (not much cucumber with the duck…). Biggest issue was delivery: ordered at 1732; original estimate was 1830-1850; at 1900 it was updated to 1915; food arrived at 1955 after three prompts on the app and two calls (the first not answered).

Had to wait an extra 40 minutes for collection. Very slow service today. Got home and one of the food was wrong! Very poor today.

Nearly 3 hours late and iv still not received my food. Lady on the phone tried to disregard me on the phone and hang up when telling me the food will be another hour on top of my original time, now it’s becoming a joke. Not happy with the service and will definitely not be using this service again

We ordered food at 5.30 to be picked up. We had confirmation from you that the food would be ready at 5.50. We waited over an hour at the restaurant, where it was carnage, nobody’s on line just eat orders were being prepared. Other people coming in and ordering and going with food. The staff kept saying I would be next. It is now 7.28, I’ve left the restaurant and gone home with out my food.. According to your website I’ve collected my food, I haven’t. This is the third time my order has been missed or taken an over hour longer than collection time. Very poor service indeed.

Two hours late, absolute joke on service

Ordered sweet and sour chicken; they delivered the pot of sauce but no chicken balls. Rang them to sort out and they took the phone off the hook so I couldn't speak to anyone. Applied for refund via Just Eat.

Delicious. The Tofu with Ginger & Spring Onions was the best version of that dish I've ever had.

Over an hour and a half wait time, when it turned up it was cold. Plus they forgot a portion of chips and no prawn crackers. Very disappointing

Only part of the order turned up . Rang and they sed it world come out. That was at 8.55 and at 10.35 still waiting . Can’t get through by phone .

Wasn’t bad but it was pretty undwhelming. Duck was nice, good balance of crisp and softer meat. Prawn toast was over cooked and Singapore noodles had a nice level of spice but lacked any other flavour.

Usually always order from here but they must have changed hands. Food was not nice.
