The best Chinese in Henley on thames!!

What a superb Chinese! When you're visiting from outside the area it's great to find a takeaway that's as good as your local favourite. Both food and service are brilliant, also it's an added bonus that you can pay by card. We'll certainly visit next time we're here!

The take away was really disappointing. The food felt cheaply made and greasy and over cooked prawn on toast was almost hard and chewy and the bottom drenched in oil. Sweet and sour chicken was nice but the meat was all brown chicken meat not breast. I don’t mind it but prefer Propper chicken. Prawn and crackers was also poor. The duck was very small size for a quarter and also what was paid. Probably won’t order here again.

We ordered at 18:20, was told it would be ready in about 40 minutes. My husband waited outside for the delivery. It didn't arrive at 19:10. I called them to let them know, but they had written my number down wrong. I gave them the correct number and was told they would contact the driver to deliver again. He did arrive, but the food we ordered was tasteless and over-cooked. We are what we could as we were hungry. I phoned them to complain and they said that as we had eaten most of it, there wasn't much they could do. I told them that they had lost a customer and they said that if we were to order again, they would give us a discount. Not good enough.

Not happy kept ringing for 45mins .was engaged at times ..decided to walk up to find out its closed .couldn't you have put up a msg on your phone system

Fantastic Chinese food. The roast duck in spicy black bean sauce is probably the best dish I have had. My husband also loved the beef curry. Good sized portions and the food was hot when it arrived. Cannot recommend this place enough.

Hadn't used Happy Wok in ages. And the found was delicious. And given we had quite a variety of food (for vegetarians etc) everyone said how good it was. So much better than the takeaway alternatives. And the man serving was friendly and smiley - which is always a nice bonus.

Not very nice, didn't seem fresh and the beef resembled the meat that comes out of a can of dog food. Won't be coming again. I couldn't even go near the chicken satay, looked rough! The duck was probably a pigeon. Shame there is no decent Chinese in Henley.

Burnt greasy inedible worst food I've eaten from a takeaway avoid throw it in the bin and had to go back out to get other food you should be shut down

I’m a great supporter of local business, but I can’t support this restaurant. The food is the worst in the area, really has no aspirations to be good, and the whilst the speed of service is OK, the customer care is poor. I won’t even get started on the low standards of food health provision that I experienced. I won’t eat here again so have nothing to lose, and don’t take my word for it, just try it yourself.

Fast service and good food, doesn’t stand out from most other Chinese restaurants but gets the job done in a timely fashion.

I haven’t had a Happy Wok for some time, and now I remember why that was. There is unidentifiable flotsam in my Noodles - and I mean “unidentifiable”, like a cross between baking paper, seaweed and shavings of jellyfish. My wife’s “Thai Curry” contains huge amounts of pineapple chunks, and the rice is somewhere between sticky and semolina. On the upside, I wouldn’t declare my food “bad”. Just “not good”. As the only Chinese delivering in Henley (in fact, bearing in mind the place in Friday street barely qualifies as a restaurant), they have the market nailed down, so have no incentive to excel. Should I find myself in the mood for a Chinese in future, I believe that there is a reputable place in Caversham that delivers to Henley. Oh. And the crispy duck wasn’t.

Happy Wok is definitely the best Chinese takeaway in the whole of the West Henley area. Friendly, helpful, speedy and above all great takeaway food at a reasonable price!

I've been coming here frequently for years and I am consistently delighted with the experience. I've tried a lot of the menu and the food is always delicious and of a high standard; my favorites are the sweet & sour chicken and the kung po chicken. The staff are really friendly and I always feel welcomed and valued as a customer; I cannot recommend this place enough.

Horrendous - Thai green curry was inedible, prawn chow mein undercooked, singapore noodles greasy. First time I've been - never again.

My Chinese of choice for nearly 10 years: Good food, excellent advice if (like me) you tend to buy the same things all the time. Fresh, well cooked and able to cater for dietary needs. Highly recommended. 👍

Fantastic chinese food! Cant fault it or their service!

Fabulous duck and pancakes, noodles were great too. Highly recommend! We were staying at Four Oaks Caravan Site so we had a delivery. No details of this takeaway in the literature at the campsite so restaurant needs to drop off menus and advertise their delivery service, it was excellent.

Fast service, friendly staff, tasty food

Got a takeaway from there yesterday and the chicken satey was so salty it was impossible to eat. The crackers were stale, chicken balls were size of quale balls. Dont recommend. Go somewhere else.
