We had a really good meal and the staff were both friendly and thoughtful, giving us plenty of time to choose our main course.

My room was a bit small as was the tv, but apart from that, it was a pleasant stay. Also, the location is great if you want total peace and quiet shops are not within walking distance and gets very dark if you are walking to and from on the evening/night

Always a great place to go for a "proper pint" or in my case a bottle of old Mout. They have food trucks throughout the week so there is always something different to eat. Traditional style inside which concentrates on talking to people instead of loud music or sports on the TV. Decently priced and great staff

Exceptional. I’m not entirely sure where the bad reviews have come from. We arrived as a large group and were offered a space to seat and have a drink before sitting for lunch and look through the menu. The service and food was faultless throughout, I couldn’t reccomend it enough!

What a hidden gem and to think every pound spent and morsel consumed helps to support charitable services for the local community Excellent quality, clean, very good service, very reasonable cost. All home produced and fresh on the day. Full English, panini, soup, jacket potatoes and a chose of 2-3 hot lunches (home cooked) and a luscious cake of the day. It was so difficult to choose. SO GO ON .. SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL (not for profit) COMMUNITY CENTRE

Nice cafe situated in the old bank. Staff are always pleasant and nice choice of cakes. Tea nicely served in pots on wooden trays and cakes nicely served on wooden platters. Reasonably priced. Tiffin cake was nice but a bit stodgy. Very dog friendly with free doggy treats. The cleanest toilet ever! Unfortunately there was an overpowering background chemical smell in the cafe. Would definitely visit again.

After a family events in the town we ventured to the Crown for a late night drink only to find a DJ playing old school music from the 60 , 70, 80 which didn't disappoint us. The place was lively , the staff were attentive and the atmosphere for drinking or food is really nice.
