No, website. "Ah, just let me check will be five minutes." Half an hour later it arrives. So clearly they had missed it. Not even an apology. Two minute drive home and the food was like warm and bahjis were swimming in oil. The bag was soaked. Not cheap either, and I only ordered Veggie dishes too!! Won't be back.

Have been eating here for 8years. Quite simply the best most consistent Indian restaurant around the local area including Princes Risborough, Thame and High Wycombe. When we try others they never come up to the quality standard that is Duo Chef. We brought our friends who are fans of another establishment and they agreed Duo is the best Indian restaurant they have ever been to. So not just me then! Highly recommended

The first thing you'll notice about Duo-Chef is how welcoming the staff are. It's a very pleasant place to dine with good decor and a really nice atmosphere. That being said some of the dishes can be a bit hit or miss for the price. For example the Madras and Tikka Masala are great however the Korma is sub-par when compared to other similar local restaurants.

Booked as a couple while on holiday nearby. First impressions were good, not the best decor in an Indian but the food we had was tasty, quickly served and excellent value with the Tuesday night special £12.50 for anything off the menu. Some dishes are a little bit extra but still cheap. The meals were inviting, generous portions and served politely by pleasant staff. My fiancé and I visited here after hearing great things. Sadly, the wait for food was well above what you would expect (90 minutes for main) but as we weren’t in a rush this wasn’t a major issue but clearly it was for other customers (and fair enough). The food was lovely and a great choice, but sadly I found 3 hairs in my dishes which was a bit off putting. On the whole, a nice evening out but definitely areas to improve.

After receiving the bill my friend and i were very surprised to find that we had been charged the full amount with no recompense for our "find" or apology. After discussion with the manager we were accused of "PLANTING" these and very begrudgingly given a reduction for half of one dish!! Although unacceptable we paid and left. To our horror outside, there were further unfounded threatening accusations, which has made the whole experience very upsetting and disappointing.

We went to Duo on a Tuesday evening when the offer their “banquet” option which was a set price for a starter, main, side, rice or naan and tea or coffee, there used to be a buffet on a Tuesday but this is no longer available. There were extra charges for Fusion dishes or seafood or duck. There is a reasonable amount of parking in front and behind the restaurant. Inside the tables were nicely laid and the whole place looked attractive. There is a small bar area and the drinks were dear but not horrendously priced. The choice on the menu is massive and with a large party of us it took a while to decide but we had some poppadums whilst thinking it through.Once we eventually made a decision the food did take a while to appear but it was worth waiting for as it all tasted freshly cooked and it was beautifully presented. Between us we had picked a wide variety of dishes and everyone was very happy with their meals. In fact there was so much food we struggled to get through a lot of it but it was still tasty. The only complaint I would have is that there was only one waiter and with 10 people and lots of dishes to bring to the table it took ages for all our food to appear, mine was first one served and it was getting a bit cold before everyone was ready to eat and I hate starting before my party.I would certainly eat here again, the food was lovely, there was a great choice and it was a very comfortable place to eat.

First of all, I really didn't want to write this. Being a dedicated and huge Indian food fan and having recently moved to Chinnor having previously been spoilt with authentic tasty restaurants in Southall, I so badly wanted to have a really decent Indian in the village. We tried Duo chef first back in August 2015 and it was mediocre at best. We then heard on the grapevine that it had received a big fat and worrying "0" in its food hygiene rating (round about the time we ate there - yuk) so we gave it a wide berth until we knew they'd been reassessed and got 4 out of 5 - we decided then we'd give them another go. We got a takeaway on a Thursday night - there was literally no one in there - perhaps that was the reason why it was so bad, they threw in a couple of free poppodums, very nice too. Thank you. Unfortunately that's where the positives ended. I had a chicken Pathia - a hot, sweet and sour curry. The chicken was undoubtedly reheated it was dry, chewy and unpleasant, the onions were raw, crunchy and the taste of the curry was pure sugar and nothing else, it was actually rancid. I'm renowned for finishing my meals, no matter how bad but on this occasion it was so disgusting I couldn't eat it. (After a 14 hour day at work to say I was unhappy was an understatement)My husband had a chicken balti, being a man of few words he described it as "not great".Probably the worst dish (and yes worse than my Pathia, we both agreed) was the bringal Bhaji - aubergine, at least that is what it was meant to be. It was swimming in pure orange fat/oil and the aubergine was unrecognisable, mushy tasteless slosh. My guess is it'd been previously cooked and frozen but who knows. That went in the bin too.Mushroom rice was nice. Naan bread was ok. What a great shame. We absolutely will not go back. I want to try the Chinnor cuisine but again, with a hygiene rating of 2 I'm sceptical - what's wrong with these places and their hygiene?!

Never had an Indian meal, so when our son said they had a good Indian restaurant in his village we took up the offer to try the food. This was in November and we enjoyed all the dishes he selected we said we wanted to return next time we visited. Which we did on New Years day and there were 11 of us. Another excellent selection of food, excellent service and very friendly staff. Our fear of very hot spicy Indian food and lots of indigestion tablets was proven totally wrong! Thoroughly enjoyed every type of food my son ordered, liked the restaurant layout, cleanliness, attentive and polite staff, and will DEFINITELY go again when we next visit the area (as well as the other restaurants we enjoy eating at around Chinnor).ALL I WILL SAY, I am not the ideal person to compare Indian restaurants or food quality. All I can say is that as a first time my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed Indian food and my wife and the family thought the onion bhajis were exceptional. Do not think I will try Indian food anywhere else in case I order the wrong thing and get disappointed with the quality of food. PLUS I found the price very reasonable.

Really nice food and huge portions, a little expensive but worth the extra money. Shame they still don't deliver locally.

Great food, excellent service and free bombei-mix while you wait for your takeaway!! Much better than the other Indian in Chinnor.

We haven't eaten at the restaurant but once a week we get a takeaway. It's very prompt - 20mins usually, although there is no delivery service. Food is normally very good, if you go off piste to their DUO menu then a little caution, some of the dishes are very small and odd tasting. None of the dishes are super hot, the vindaloo is unusually mild. Jahlfrezi is the stand out dish for me!

We ate here on a Sunday evening. The restaurant itself was very quiet although the takeaway business seemed to be doing well - typical Sunday night perhaps. The service was very friendly and attentive and the food excellent and reasonably priced. Would certainly go again if we were in the area.

This is our favourite Indian in the area, Princes Risborough is our normal town for a meal with friends but we would rather drive to Chinnor to enjoy the dishes at Duo. There is the standard Indian restaurant fare but then there is much, much more. The chef has taken fresh ingredients and made them into delicious offerings, chili paneer with honey is hot and sweet and portion sizes spot on. All the food is beautifully arranged on the plates and the team actually care about serving you. If you want a dish hotter or milder they will make a recommendation or ask the chef to modify slightly. They also have options for children in the main menu which is a nice touch. If you're looking for a tasty meal this is a strong recommendation.

We absolutely love it here. They staff are always very warm, welcoming and go along way to make my daughter feel special when she visits! We've taken various friends and family here (including my Dad who has his firm favourite in Loudwater, High Wycombe) and have never had a bad experience. Everyone always wants to come back! Personally, I couldn't now go anywhere else!Loved it when it was the 'Coriander Leaf' and were concerned about any changes but we genuinely love it more now. You won't be disappointed.

This is a great Indian restaurant, well, I say Indian, it's more Indian Fusion i.e. a taste of India, but without going away feeling bloated and full of fatty nasties. Choose from the specials menu - there's a traditional menu too, but if you want this go to a curry house, which this isn't. I had a duck dish that was simply sublime, as well as the scallops and squid starter, which was delicious - not too hot, just spicy tasty. There were others in our party who weren't really Indian lovers, but they too enjoyed the food. My advice: play to the chefs' strengths and avoid traditional gravy-based dishes.Only complaint? The service was a bit sluggish. We started at 8 and didn't finish until nearly 11 (on a Saturday night) - we were five, so the company kept us going, but it might not suit everyone. We had to ask to order and for the bill and could have done with a bit more 'umph', not enough to spoil the evening, but raised a few eyebrows.Try it. Enjoy.

I visited this restaurant with my family and we were very pleased with the experience. My husband and I took our twin boys aged 8, our daughter age 12 and her friend age 13. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. For our young friend it was her first visit to anywhere that didn't sell chicken nuggets and she was very apprehensive. We asked to check the menu to look for "English options" but when there weren't any the manager offered to cook a sample of less spicy food for her to try whilst we decided whether or not to stay. She still wasn't keen but our kids loved it so we took a seat and ordered our meals whilst the cook came up with another option for her. The meals we eventually had were all delicious and our little friend enjoyed her chicken breast cooked with pepper and salt! The staff were very patient with all the children (and our boys can be a bit of a handful - 8, boys, twins need I say more!) and we will definitely be visiting here again.

Under new management and now known as Duo and early reports are fantastic. The food is fresh, tasty and the prices are reasonable to. Both takeaway and eating in are of a clean high standard and I believe this new Indian modern resturant will be a huge success if they carry on with this early high standard.

After many people advised me to try out the corriander leaf, I gave it a couple of attempts but I found the food average and on one of the take aways they never discounted the 10% which sealed my decision and will not return. i must say I do find Chinnor Indian far better value for money and the people alot friendlier

Good takeaway. Given a warm greeting on arrival by the very friendly staff and the chef came out to promote a new menu that was about to be launched. Nothing wrong with the current menu as the food was good and would definitely go back again.

Today, I experienced a taste of India! from the outset we were welcomed, "table for two please" we were asked to sit in a nicely pillowed waiting area whilst our table was set & prepared. Only after a short interlude we were invited to be seated. All the waiters were friendly & helpful & worked together as a team rather than being alocated just one person to see to our every whim. The Chef, one of two Ahmed made himself available to explain the menu & offered options to cater for any variation that suited individual taste as well as 'off the menu dishes' One of the reasons for trying the restaurant was the reviews! & I can only add to these recommendations. When the meals actually were presented on beautifully shaped dishes & presented with decoration using sauces & various vegitables you could almost taste the food using just your eyes! the shared platter is an excellent starter & the selected Chefs menu is always being scrutinised by the Chefs themselves by interacting with the customers. If you are not further satisfied & your little Tum Tum can take it, then there is a desert menu which looks scrummy. We however just opted for the coffee, freshly ground & delicious in its own right! Sorry if I sound as if myself & my partner have shares in the company, I only wish that we did.Finnally we were met at the exit after gladly paying for the value for money meal we just had & a member of staff held the door meeting us outside thanking us for our custom. Wow how many places have you been to that offer this level of service, THANKS GUYS!! see you again soon with the rest of the family :]

We visit this restaurant every few months and our last visit was on Christmas eve. Our young waiter was very friendly as all the staff there are. Food is tasty. A lovely spacious restaurant in a good location. Generally good value although drinks for the children can work out expensive, unfortunately this is often the case in most restaurants ...

The Coriander Leaf has been going some 3 years now since it took over from the former Thai restaurant on the same site, which was not of comparable quality and didn't last that long. The service is always excellent and the staff are friendly and helpful. The menu choice is good and varied with something for meat, fish and vegetarian lovers. The staff will do what they can to help, if you want a particular thing they are usually happy to oblige. I've never had to book, just turned up and got a table. Tuesday night is banquet night with a starter, main, side dish, nan/rice and coffee all for £10.90 which is pretty good value.Draught Cobra beer is on tap and although a bit pricey (like £4 or so) its very nice. But if you want to drink go first to the Red Lion at the bottom of the high street...Disclaimer: I live in the village but have nothing to do with the restaurant other than visting about once a month!

Going downhill fast - this place used to be my favourite. I understand mistakes happen, but... 1) The bottle of Kobra beer served had gone flat. We asked for a replacement and the waiter came over and poured the fresh beer into the same glass the flat beer was in! Finally we got a fresh beer and a fresh glass. 2) Poppadum dips were below par and below temperature. The condensation all over the metal serving dish shows that they serve them straight from the fridge. 3) Served a cheese nan, instead of a chilli nan. Waited for replacement. 4) We were told the chef 'forgot to put egg' in the dish we ordered, and were offered a replacement, but we were already waiting for a replacement nan, so that would have left one of us with a plate of rice to go cold while waiting. 5) Weekday special is £20 per head. Bill comes out at £99 for 3 people. Drinks were listed as £20.45 on the bill, so that's £18.50 tip included in the bill. I'll give you another tip: sort it out guys.

The food was excellent, big portions, good prices. LOVED the king prawn puri, it was amazing, so flavourful and big it could have been a main. We ate inside, didn't do takeaway, somehow hadn't tried it yet after years in Didcot.
