The best restaurants in New Romney Town Shepway South East

Very nice lady, great cakes and good selection of frozen meals.

I visited this lovely little tea shop today with a couple of friends. I’ve never been in before and it was really lovely and the staff so friendly and accommodating. Lovely latte and a scrumptious jacket potato with tuna and sweetcorn. I’ll be visiting again to try out some of the other menu items. One of my friends was so keen to see what was going on outside (the staff will know what I’m talking about) that she knocked a full coffee over the table but the staff were very laid back about it.

If i could give the food a higher rating I would, the choice was plentiful & the food was amazing. The staff were very attentive & made sure everything was cleaned away, wiped down in between the courses. This place is a real diamond.

Unfortunately the Smugglers is closing down this weekend and there's nowhere else in the town to replace it. We'll miss it so much! Long live the smugglers!

Was there for the Texas night (Nov'23). Amazing food, great size portions, super quality and very welcoming. Nice and cosy restaurant. Couple of cocktails to start. Highly recommended, and we will be back.

Amazing food and lovely warm friendly service! We have just come back from a holiday to Venice and were looking forward to an Italian meal, and Ruzzo did not disappoint. The meals were so delicious - beautiful authentic Italian cusine - and the staff were friendly and helpful. If you're in New Romney make sure you have a meal here, highly recommended!

Fantastic Mexican, best restaurant in New Romney, went for the Texas BBQ evening last Saturday, brisket, BBQ ribs, pork, pickles and sides served on a tray, so tasty, and a couple of Pina Colada cocktails, what's not to like, cant wait to return,

What a fantastic place to stay. Right opposite the lovely miniature railway and not far from the seafront. The high street is a few minutes walk with an abundance of cafes and restaurants. Highly recommended.

My brothers and I were staying at the nearby caravan site Marlie, and wanted somewhere locally to dine. We booked a table and, upon arrival, ordered some drinks before being seated. They allowed us to keep an open tab, which was convenient. There was a decent and nice looking menu. I ordered the steak and Stilton pie, which was plentiful and delicious and my brothers were equally happy with their food choices. The service was good and there is a lovely ambiance too, really cosy and they kept the log burner going throughout the evening, which was lovely. After our meal we stayed and chatted, whilst enjoying more drinks. We were never rushed and had a great evening.

First meal from Rod and line in a while won't be rushing back . Pretty bland food

Lovely friendly pub that allows dogs. Great British food on the menu and the taste is great too. Friendly staff, and if you are lucky Banofee pie is on the menu. Best I've ever had.

We had 2 tandoori mixed grill one wet and chicken dansak, some rice man poppadoms andmango chutney take away delivery.... it was delivered quicker than expected, all dishes was bland dansak had no heat at all and the chicken was dry hard and horrible . .. we have used romney spice regularly for years but no more it was horrible and expensive 😢
