First time at the The Works Cafe for breakfast. The service was excellent especially from Chloe and Donna. The breakfast was amazing. Will definitely be going back!

Had the pleasure of eating at The Grill House twice on a recent weekend visit to Bexhill. We tried several dishes during our two visits and everything was cooked to perfection and tasted genuinely incredible. We had the halloumi chips, bulz, goulash, chiftele, moussaka, tochitura, cheesecake and papanasi (an absolute must). The wines too were of very high quality and complimented the food perfectly. Great owners and staff, really nice decor and atmosphere and an amazing location means we will definitely return on our next visit. I would urge anybody in the area to come to this fabulous restaurant.

My husband and I ate here twice in the space of a few days. Service was friendly and welcoming both times. On the first visit, our nachos and egg on toast were very nice. There’s a large variety of milkshakes to choose from - our White Twix and Bubblegum choices were amazing! Would love to try the iced cinnamon roll flavour. As we’d seen good reviews online, we booked a vegetarian afternoon tea. This consisted of sandwiches, quiche, mini cakes, scones and a surprise mini cheesecake towards the end. All of the sandwiches were served on seeded bread, which was an issue as I don’t eat this. Usually with afternoon tea, sandwiches come on at least two varieties of bread e.g white bread and seeded bread, so there’s something for everyone. I feel that when we booked the afternoon tea, the coffee shop should have informed us they usually make the sandwiches on seeded bread, or asked for our bread preference. With hindsight, I will specify with future afternoon teas which bread I would like to avoid this happening. They did kindly prepare additional sandwiches for me on white bread, at an extra cost. The food all tasted lovely and was very good value for money at £11 per person - we took the cakes away with us as were too full to eat everything we were presented with!

This is a fantastic place, friendly staff and fantastic food, caters for vegetarian, vegan and meat eaters! Soya, almond and proper cow juice! Stella the owner has tried to cater for all. Stella also puts on events one I went too was viewing the Sun by Astronomy Adventures, kind people explaining what we saw (Mind Blowing)

14 of us went to Milligans for a Christmas meal and drinks. We had the best time, the pub was very festive, the food was delicious and plenty of it, full trimmings with the turkey & even took some vegetables home we couldn’t quite finish. The desserts were lovely and the portions sizes were great. We all left feeling very full. Well done to the all the staff, we really enjoyed it and was a great meal. So good in fact back next week for another one. Merry Christmas 😉🎄

Friendly staff, but VERY pricey! It cost £4 for a tiny tub of whelks! (Coke can for scale). The whelks were not particularly nice either. I wont be returning in future.
