Food is amazing, wines are great, service is excellent and the restaurant is beautifully decorated! We were there to celebrate my partner's bday and even his fussy parents loved everything. I especially love that the chef comes out to check if you are happy with the food, it really shows how much they care. We definitely will be back!

Hey, there's this small gem of a restaurant in Bexhill. Ana and Bogdan, the owners, are super lovely and welcomed us warmly. My Romanian partner was thrilled to find a place that serves his traditional cuisine. The food was incredible, fresh, and packed with flavor. We'll definitely be going back!

My wife and I ate here for the first time at the weekend. We absolutely loved it and will definitely be booking again soon. The restaurant itself has a nice feel and the staff were really welcoming and polite. The food was cooked beautifully, our favourite was the chicken soup and the goulash was stunning. We also thought the prices were reasonable. Can't wait to go back

Excellent Romanian choices on the menu; attentive family service in comfortable surroundings. We were not hurried and we felt that the atmosphere was ideal for our party of 16 friends.

I had booked well ahead for a meal with my son who is getting married and I wanted to treat him to the special meal of Draculas Banquet. We were not disappointed. Amazing food and service all round. This no is my second visit and I will be back again.

Whenever we visit family in Bexhill, we always book to eat here. The menu has an excellent range of dishes and wines, many being Romanian and Moldovian. The steak was the best I’ve had in a restaurant while the gypsy hotpot with chicken, pork, sausages and spices was flavoursome. We loved the rose wine and discovered Castellum Dracula Rose - beautiful! This is a fantastic small family business. The ambience is mellow and the welcome is warm. Anna & Bogdan feel passionately about their cuisine and want you to enjoy their food and their experience. Portions are plentiful and represent excellent value for money. The service is personal and the atmosphere is comfortable and relaxed. It’s our favourite restaurant in Bexhill. We’re already looking forward to our next visit.

We are just back from celebrating my wife’s birthday. It was made so very special by the wonderful hosts at the Grill House. We were met by a smiling Ana who showed us our table replete with celebratory balloons. We had lovely Romanian beer and wine, followed by a beautifully cooked meal. Bogdan the chef came out to check on us wearing what looked like a permanent smile. Ana cheekily served us dessert to Happy Birthday being played over the stereo. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening and would recommend this restaurant to anyone. We were so glad that Ana and Bogdan have decided to make their life in the UK.

4 of us had a fabulous dinner. Selecting wine was fun with a very knowledgeable waitress helping. The food was fantastic, so tasty and very well prepared and cooked with a nice portion size. I don't normally have puddings but could not resist. It just sounded so different and didn't disappoint. A very friendly family run restaurant with great food well worth going for lunch or dinner.

What a gem of a find walking round Bexhill today in wet nasty weather looking for a place to eat, we walked round towards beach after a few refusals and found theGrill House, well from when we walked in to ordering we were so surprised how lovely Ana and Bogdan Were service was fantastic bearing in mind only been open 6 months the food was exceptional. We had the Dracula platter between 3 of us, and it was delicious! Lots of frites and grilled chicken, pork shoulder and Romanian sausage. Thoroughly recommend!

Booked a table for 5 for a Birthday dinner - our first visit to the Grill House. I had pre-ordered a bottle of Romanian sparkling wine which was ready for us on arrival - and was excellent. Ana provided brilliant service - explaining the Romanian dishes, catering for one with lactose intolerance by suggesting a variation and all the while in an engagingly cheerful and humorous manner. 2 x gipsy style spicy hot pan, 1 x traditional beef chiftele, 1 x sirloin steak and 1 x sea bream in the Romanian style. All cooked specially to order and fantastic. For desert we ordered 1 papanasi, 1 cheesecake and 1 chocolate and orange cake - again all fantastic, particularly the papanasi which a real delight. Excellent bottle of gold medal Romanian sauvignon blanc and beers and soft drinks. A real feast - big thanks to Bogdan for great cooking and to Anna for great service.

The food was very tasty and nicely presented with a very friendly service.. It was lovely to experience Romanian food and wine which we all enjoyed. Would have been 5 stars but being over 6ft found the seating uncomfortable and the table room small but understand they are going to be changed.

Beautiful meal, lovely service from Anna will certainly be back. Came for a chilled evening with the girls, had the calamari to start followed by the most delicious stake, and gorgeous wine. One of the best meals I have had in a long time. Thank you 👍 Highly recommend!!

A great little find on Bexhill's seafront! My business partner and I were staying around the corner and were looking for a decent but unpretentious restaurant and the Grill House really fits that bill. We were made welcome by Ana straight away and read their story on the first page of the menu. I was pleased to see some traditional Romanian dishes on the menu as I know some Romanians here in Lincoln and I know what they like to eat! The food was just what I hoped for - wholesome, hearty and tasty. I can recommend the Gypsy Spicy Hot Pan. The restaurant itself is suitable for almost any occasion - business meals, family meals, romantic meals - all would be good here. My only advice to Ana and Bogdan would be to suggest they both come and chat to the customers. They have an interesting and unique proposition in Bexhill and I'm sure people would love to hear their story.

What a fabulous restaurant. From the moment we arrived we were made so welcome. The food was absolutely great. There were some lovely specials on that evening so don’t just judge on the published menu. The wine was Romanian and was excellent. The service was warm and friendly and super efficient. The owners were extremely kind and we were celebrating a Birthday so they helped us celebrate by making the evening very special. Highly recommended. Thank you!

We were looking for somewhere to eat before an evening performance at the De La Warr. All the nearby restaurants were fully booked, but this charming place had space, and more importantly, a warm and friendly welcome. The Romanian food is really good and a delightful surprise. The roulade of pork belly (essentially a porchetta) was really well flavoured with fresh herbs, and the cornmeal-coated sea bream in a cream, chicken and caper sauce reminded me of central european cuisine. Ana and Bogdan have created a great little restaurant with a unique and delightful menu.

What a lovely gem on the Bexhill seafront. Very family friendly and the food is superb. The Romanian twist makes it extra special. You are made to feel relaxed and at home. A treat at luchtime or any time of day.

This is a fairly new little restaurant that offers a quiet and intimate, but friendly atmosphere. The food was fantastic as both my wife and I enjoyed a mixture of traditional Romanian cuisine and more recognisable fare. There is a good selection of wines to compliment whichever course you choose. We were made to feel very welcome and we both very much enjoyed our evening. Recommended you give it a try.

Ana and Bogdan have created a warm and inviting environment, with authentic Romanian food which is freshly prepared and not a rubbery calamari in sight! The Romanian red and white wine was as good (if not better) as you’d get in any high end restaurant and in no way overpriced. It seems Romanian food tastes great if made into a ball….starter, main or even dessert! Who knew! We went with average expectations but enjoyed the food and chatting with Bogdan and Ana so much that I’m writing this review, still full from last nights splendid meal and grateful to have discovered such a warm and genuine restaurant. We will be back for sure.

The food tasted delicious - especially the sauce which accompanied the fish - and the hospitality was first-class.

The Romanian cuisine was great. However tables were bit too small, was very tight and not much space. The wine was over £30 a bottle.

I doubt you will find a warmer welcome in Bexhill. Fast becoming a firm favourite with us. Recommend you try some of their home country dishes - proper family cooking.
