Every time I am ordering frappe and I KEEP telling them to put Whipped cream but they keep putting just CREAM!? Unbelievable service I will never go back there again that was the last time! And I am not talking about this one only. Everywhere is like this! Like they are giving the WHIPPED CREAM FROM THEY’RE POCKET OR I AM ASKING THEM FOR MONEY! BAD SERVICE!

My first time back at the Eastney Tavern in over 40 years whilst on a brief visit to Portsmouth. Thoroughly enjoyed the excellent hospitality and super food offering, all at very reasonable prices. Happy to heartily recommend.

We had been recommended to try this restaurant by a friend. We were visiting family for the weekend. This did not disappoint from the crab starter to our main course dishes the food full of flavour and very fresh. Had an unusual bean side dish which was absolutely delicious and will definitely try it at home. Beautifully presented and staff very attentive. Will definitely go again on our next visit.

We had 2 gyros,1 chicken, 1 pork, in both of them the meat was from day before just reheated. Disappointed especially that they put their prices up recently

Popped in at 5pm for a large cod and large chips. Completely empty. The lady said it’ll be a while as I’ve got to cook it. So I waited and expected fresh hot fish n chips. The cod was good but tiny. The chips were rock hard cold and inedible. Clearly been sitting there hours if not days!! They went in the bin. So I had paid £14.50 for a small piece of cod!!! If that’s what they call large I’d hate to see a small cod!! Literally the size of 2 fishfingers!!! Avoid this place
