Shambolic service, slow not enough room behind the servery as the staff were clearly getting in each others way. Great setting though and nice to sit outside on a sunny day.

Perfect place for a cup of coffee by the sea. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Saviory food options are limited.

Why are people being charged 45p for oat milk. If three people pay for oat milk, they have the cost back. This is just scamming customers as people are trying to be healthy they are made to pay more. I am a veteran, and I will let my friends take their own milk if its Soya, Oat, or Almond. I, for one, will never use Coffee Cup again. It's a milk ripe off.

Great location but don't go for the coffee. We tried twice, only for coffee, but we really didn't like and couldn't drink more than half our cups. The cake was just ok.

Drinks are ok, no vegan options for food.

I was a regular customer, but the quality of the coffee was not very good for the price. ADDITIONAL fee for plant milk. After 6 months, I say to myself, I will check the quality of coffee and service to see if it has changed. Unfortunately: The staff probably didn't use the head to think, when ordering coffee with plant milk (vegan) they added and always do so normal whipped cream, without telling me anything, without asking if it was a preference or an allergy and if I hadn't asked, I would have drank it and maybe she died because who would I didn't care that I couldn't eat dairy products. Costa and Starbucks really care about quality and customers, even small family cafes are better. I do not recommend Coffee cup in Portsmouth.

Beautiful pleace with greate view of the sea but quite expnsive

Applied for a job , got a text about an interview (already a very unprofessional to arrange an interview) , they said only Interview at 9:30 Wednesday. I work full time so I offered an alternative date, to which I was basically told no. Totally unprofessional and stupid way of hiring. I wish you guys luck hiring a supervisor as anyone available for a 9:30 interview with 1 days notice probably isn’t currently employed. Rude and blunt and didn’t even sign off with their actual name.

A wonderful location to sit and contemplate life, the universe and everything while sipping delicious coffee and nibbling on a lovely cake. With comfortable indoor seating and picnic benches outside it is ideal for almost any weather. The staff are friendly & welcoming, the service is swift & professional and the menu delightful & tempting. A fantastic little spot a bit away from the general hustle & bustle and ideal for children & dogs after a fair stroll along the promenade.

1x cheese and ham and 1xCheese and tomato toastie were awful- soggy bread, weird tomato mix and cheese unmelted for £4.95 each. Iced latte had ice, americano was hot. That’s all I can say really. Usually the cafe is a godsend on the beach front for a hot cuppa and fortifying snack. Not sure what happened today. Maybe seasonal staff and poor prepackaged toasties were just off the mark today. Will try again soon.

Cold, wet day so not being allowed inside with our dog a disappointment. They can set the rules. If I had know of this approach I would gone somewhere else.

Lame coffee! Watery..also watch your self from burning your tongue..it's way too hot!not right coffee temperature. Was sited outside waiting for the coffee at table, been served in takeaway cups..! Told the guy..it's not right..he said ..ok oh sorry..thats it..yep..what a coffee shop..

Nice place to relax and enjoy the sea view, whether sitting inside out out. The food is good and the hot drinks are fab.

Great views across Spithead. Great selection of hot drinks and snacks. Additional outdoor seating is good when it's a bright sunny day.

Nice stop for coffee, ice cream etc. just remember to pay your parking charge... Not expensive.

Fantastic coffee, great toasties and superb cakes. Service is a little slow, but you can see they are doing their best. Besides, you're at the beach, what's the rush? I never tried their ice creams, but they looked as good as the rest of the food. I always go there when I'm in Eastney. Well worth a visit.

Used the outdoor service hatch as a lovely day to sit out. Well situated along the Eastney seafront. Found it as part of the parkrun route. Great choice of savouries and cakes. So good to have HOT coffee served, didn't (and couldn't) rush it. Very friendly New Zealand server/barista.

Love this place. Location , staff, sea view and atmosphere.

Bought 2 Paninis, 1 Cappuccino and 1 Iced Latte. Paninis weren't worth £1.95 each let alone £5.95 each. Iced Latte was just a cold cup of watered down coffee. Tables and floor were filthy and customers were having to clear the dirty crockery themselves. Staff were too busy messing around and on their phones to provide any sort of decent service.

It's a lovely little cafe in a fabulous location with a great view. However, everything on the menu (apart from crisps and one type of cake) appears to be animal based. Not only are your vegan customers left hungry, you also fail to cater to anyone with a dairy intolerance (everything has either meat or cheese, or both, in it). Something simple like a mushroom and pesto toasty or a hummous and flatbread snack is surely not too much to ask? Your staff were also not willing to improvise on the spot which is disappointing, especially since there seem to be quite a few of them behind the bar all doing very little.

Self service for milk. The shelf for the milk and sugars, etc is miniscule. There is no where to balance a tray or put a cup down. Poor thinking for helping customer self service.

Only toastie and sandwiches on offer . Few cake and hot/drinks Used to do hot meals like pasta and bakes but these seem to have been removed

I was at the cafe on a Saturday afternoon, I was served quickly, the only problem was that the inside space was small and crowded, there were no tables inside, and it was very windy outside.

Lovely coffee shop with gorgeous views and outside seating (although it was raining when we were there so we sat under the shelter!!) lovely little play area if you have kids and the staff were so lovely. Can highly recommend the salted caramel millionaire slice!!!! Thank you!!

A fantastic coffee shop right on the beach, fast service and there is outdoor spacing facing the sea to sit and enjoy your coffee. Also a kids play area is available so you can drink in peace.

We visited as a family of 4 and all had iced coffees. I have to say they were the worst iced coffees I've ever tasted and left us feeling nauseous for the rest of the day. Seems to be a lot of people behind the counter, but the service is slow. Views are good though!

The lids on the take away coffee cups don't seal, so need to be careful not to spill hot coffee down your clothes. Or let the coffee cool right down and drink without the lid. YOU NEED TO SORT THE LIDD OUT

Slow service (15min wait for coffee and cake when it wasn't that busy), average coffee, average cake (seems mass produced), you can't have your drink on the outside tables in a proper cup, they make you have a takeaway one. I'd recommend sacrificing the view for one of the nicer cafes nearby (for example the local wine bar's coffee is much better).

Very busy due to the sea front location. Staff were polite & serving as quick as they could. Outside tables could have been cleaner & all the bins were full - not a deal breaker, but they could probably use more staff. However, coffee was really good, as was the large slice of fudge cake. Don't be put off by the queue - it will be worth the short wait!

I absolutely love this place! The environment is superb, and they make a great chesse and ham toast. Amazing place to have a coffee in the morning before work. I will say it gets a bit loud from all the kinds of playing,but the owners have created a separate playground for customers with kids. The service is great,but there can be a bit of a wait time. There is plenty of paid parking spaces on the street next to it.

Visited today and there was a really long wait first to order, and then to be served. The wait itself isn't so much the issue...I appreciate a Saturday afternoon is a busy time - but with at least 8 staff behind the counter, not one appeared to acknowledge us or have any kind of urgency about serving. When we got the attention of a member of staff they were extremely confrontational & defensive - all that was needed was "I'm so sorry about the wait, I'll make sure someone is coming" - rather than aggressively jabbing at the receipt and saying "Well this says you've only been waiting 5 minutes!!" Real attitude problem that needs to be addressed, the customer is not always right...but they also shouldn't be treated as an inconvenience!

Extremely disappointed by the level of service and attitude of some members of staff. I went in to buy 3 ice-cream cones and having queued for 5 minutes to pay, the cashier asked a member of staff to serve the ice creams, but the staff member just ignored us. After waiting another 5 minutes, I asked to be served but was met with a such a bad attitude from the staff member that I had to ask to speak with a manager. However, the manager was less than helpful, so I had to insist they either serve the 3 cones or give a refund. There were at least 8 staff members present, half of whom were not doing very much. Overall rating is over priced with poor service and bad attitude from some staff. I won't be using this coffee shop again.

Lovely coffee shop in a fantastic location with views of the beach, solent and the Isle, on a good day. The staff are super accommodating, friendly and attentive and there's is even a small play area to keep the goblins entertained. Great selection of cakes and the coffee is far better than the mass chains offer, with far better prices. Definitely worth a stop if you're on the esplanade.

Food is ok. Desserts are great 👍 nice range to choose from. Hot beverages are usually good but depends on the staff member preparing them. During our last visit today, the member of staff preparing the hot beverages was not so nice, as even if we asked for some tap water when we ordered, they refused to serve that, and asked us to wait. After 15mins we politely asked again, and they told us we should have queued again to ask for that. We do understand they were busy and stress levels went off control, but still not ideal to be treated like that, for something that takes literally 20secs to prepare.

Excellent spot for coffee shop with excellent or dramatic views depending on the weather. Catching walkers, joggers, dig walkers and general seafront visitors thd place is rarely empty. It's becoming a favourite place to stop off before walking up to Fratton for hone games.m. A decent line in light snacks too, I had mozzarella and pesto toasties, very nice. PUP.
