The best restaurants in Cuckfield Mid Sussex South East

Out of the 6 of us, 3 ordered a hamburger. I have never had a cooked tomato included - this made the bottom half of the brioche bun wet. The caramelised onion was virtually non-existent, there were no gherkins (as specified), paid extra for cheese which was 1.1/2" in diameter! Served by a restaurant which specialises in beef I was more than disappointed. However one doesn't like a fuss when a group of friends gets together! Amazing chips!

Phoned in to order a peperoni pizza a 3 years ago the guy said no worries ready in 15mins then about two seconds later tells me he hasn't got peperoni pizza I said impossible I just ordered it cut long story short I didn't get the peperoni pizza I even said mate I've ordered it what you mean you haven't got it it's impossible as ive just orrdered it.he will remember this phone call very bad service I won't use .

Having read some very positive reviews about Tom's Food, I suggested to a friend that we should try it. My first impression on walking in was how small it was and uncomfortable metal seats. The menu has some different things on it which was nice but I felt it was a bit expensive (sort of expected in Cuckfield). Our coffees came quite quickly but our food took forever to come. The food was nice but not particularly big portions. On paying the bill at the counter, I queried the amount and they had added a service charge without my knowledge or approval- I was not happy. They did offer to refund it but I should not have been out in that position in the first place. Whilst I expect a service charge to be proposed in a restaurant, I have never had a service charge added in a cafe before. Given the fact the service level was minimal, my friend asked for the charge to be removed. We won't be returning.

Tom’s is a great Cuckfield coffee shop serving high quality drinks, snacks and light meals. We went early on a Sunday (around 9:45am) and had no problems getting seats but it gets VERY crowded later due to popularity. Coffee is first rate, mocha is delicious. We had pastries and a sausage sandwich. The almond croissant is legendary and the cinnamon rolls baked and iced on site. Delicious! Price is reasonable, service quick, but obviously will slow as it gets very busy. It’s dog friendly inside, and there’s a bit of outside seating if weather is good enough. Overall, highly recommended.

Excellent Thai in the village with a lovely warm staff and tasty food

Once again we had a very lovely Sunday Roast, i enjoyed Chicken and my wife went for the Pork both were accompanied by the vegetable's Cauliflower Cheese and Broccoli. your starter was the Camembert with warm breadth and desserts of Dark Chocolate with Orange Roulade. Drinks were Non Alcoholic Beer for me and my wife enjoyed a Sauvignon Blanc. Special mention to our server Holly P whose attention to our needs went above and beyond, she was exceptional busy still found time to tend to our requests Well Done !

Popped in for light lunch after golf, food was lovely, draught beer nice and fresh and nice friendly staff. Thumbs up!

Been here a few times and food is always good, no different this time although the red snapper was excellent. Always enjoy the cosy atmosphere (despite a very loud/gobby table behind us) and the service was prompt and efficient. Will be back.

Great views and atmosphere but let down by inattentive/poor service. I asked for my egg to be well done and it came back really underdone. Also asked for bacon as a substitute for smoked salmon and was charged extra! The food is otherwise great but is very overpriced. It’s not an issue with the servers per se, who are all very friendly, it seems like it’s management not providing adequate training and maximising profit, coupled with a scary chef (the waitress looked terrified when I asked if I could have a well don egg).

The loveliest little Indian restaurant in the village. The interior of the restaurant isn't fancy by any stretch of the imagination but the food was delicious and hot. Staff were accommodating and friendly, throughly enjoyed our meal, and they boxed up our left overs to take home

Absolutely beautiful we were treated like royalty 👑 from the moment we walked in till we left. The food was delicious fresh and never took to long to get to the table must have used fresh ingredient as the taste was spot on. Free small car park disabled entry very accessible small playground for children toilets male female and disabled very clean and plenty of toilet roll. Rooms lovely and spacious lovely views ❤️ location is on point keep up the good work 👏 🙌

Tom served is tonight and he was really helpful and friendly. meal was lovely and good value definitely will return again well done guys ...

This was the worst pub we have been in and we have lived in Sussex 12 years bar staff the most unfriendly and miserable pub cold and not welcoming
