The best restaurants in Bolney Mid Sussex South East

Came here on the recommendation of others and really glad that we did. Great to see a local place that has genuine passion for what it does. The ciders were great, we tried a fair few between us (thanks designated driver) from fruity to traditional to the driest thing I've ever tasted - good to try new things. The pizzas were a real bonus - really tasty and a bit out of the ordinary too. We did have a bit of an issue with one aspect of service and I contacted the Cider Tap afterwards to try and resolve but never heard back. That did put a bit of a downer on things but overall, excellent drinks and spot-on pizza.

Terrible gym plus sauna that doesn’t work likely because keeping the temperature low saves money. What was once Wickwoods with a lovely quality atmosphere is now a corporate David Lloyd -just like any other gym yet paying a premium, this is really unacceptable and unfair on existing customers who kept wickwoods going. Younger folks are paying less for membership so others have been told. They’ve made the gym bigger but it’s just the same as before because David Lloyd increased numbers! There is definitely a divide of customers in this gym. You are just treated as a number at this gym.

This used to be my favourite restaurant, now they are a complete joke. I’ve been trying to book a nights stay and meal for my partners birthday for over two months, left various voicemails, sent numerous emails, then got to speak to someone and they promised to call me back.. weeks later and various messages and emails, still no sign of them calling back. What an absolutely disgusting level of service and just disregard for their customers. If you have a special, evening, avoid at all costs, as they will let you down. Worst collapse from hero to zero in terms of falling from grace I’ve ever seen…. Such a shame. Worst customer service ever, what on earth happened to this place…. Must have changed owners…

Lovely old pub, excellent food.

Visited with family for Sunday lunch. Great atmosphere, service and the food was fantastic. A very enjoyable Sunday lunch with some bubbly!

Lovely pub and hotel. Highly recommended for beautiful and tasty Sunday lunch. Very friendly and very relaxed. Everyone should visit. Generous portions and excellent value. I left full and satisfied. Will definitely be back.

Great little Pub, ploughman’s lunch is a thing of beauty, bring a good appetite as the portions are very generous, Harvey’s beer straight off the barrel and the staff are so friendly - 100% recommended

I'm a real fan of The Bolney Stage, I've been visiting for over 30 years. But the fish and chips I had last night was just not good enough at any price, let alone £17.45. The fish was undercooked, so much so that halfway through, having discovered that the thickest part of the fillet was barely warm and the batter uncooked beneath the crust, I had to send it back for a re-fry. Presentation of the dish was none too clever either, with a broad pool of rather runny mushy peas, and a wide scattering of chips. The other two diners were happier with their meals, but neither said the food was excellent. I'll go again, but I'll be expecting better next time.

SALLY!! You are the most gorgeous human and deserves all the recognition! You were so helpful and kind to not just me but everyone in that store! A very special human I met today and all she did was pass me a drink! We need more Sally’s !

Great customer service. I ordered a chicken royale and they gave me one with mayo. When I asked for mayo they gave me a fresh one right away even though they were busy. Food is hot and really good. Really nice staff. Toilets are a bit gross.
