AMAZING Biscoff croissant! The staff are always extremely friendly here. Lovely seating out the back in warmer weather. Will definitely be back!

I'm not usually a fan of shopping but I could have spent all day here looking at the cards, the books, the beautiful wools... but what a treat was in store on reaching the café. Delicious lunches, luscious cakes and fabulous iced coffees, all at very reasonable prices. The crushed pea/feta/radish on toast was stunning with a mouth watering variety of tastes and textures, beautifully presented and served by lovely staff! Just perfect!

One of our favourite places to visit whenever we get a spare evening, especially in the winter. Vast selection of games, something for every kind of player whether new to board games or experienced. Service via the iPad works really well and is a great way of doing things. Food is pretty basic but does the job and isnât bad at all, after all, the main focus when coming here is to enjoy playing the games and the atmosphere. Can be quite pricey at times, would be good if you could get the game playing fee free if spending over a certain amount. Happy to pay a bit of a premium though as independent cafe and the games arenât going to pay for themselves. The most recent night we attended there was a bit of an issue with someone who was drunk and disorderly and clearly not in the right frame of mind. The man was quite heavily disabled so staff initially helped him with compassion and then he started verbally abusing the poor staff for literally no reason. So kudos to the staff member who had to deal with it as wasnât easy at all. Will of course keep coming back, just wish there was another branch in Maidstone - maybe one dayđ€đŒ

I had been here maybe 6 years ago, and recently tried it again. The most recent reviews at this time are all very good, lots of 5 stars and lots of mentions of authentic food. I can only assume these people have never been to Thailand and/or had authentic Thai food, because it's simply not, not in the slightest. This restaurant is a perfect example of a place that is catering to English tastes, the green curry was essentially a UK version... much in the same way that Indian restaurants have a tikka masala, which is a completely made up in authentic dish .. so to is Thai 4 twos green Thai curry ... some would say the flagship dish of any Thai eatery. Authentic Thai curry has fish sauce, spicy with lime and crucially sweet basil. This didn't have any of these, furthermore it was actually so weak it wasn't green at all but an off yellow sort of colour, also the chicken was hard and dry and definitely not freshly prepared. I am trying to be more balanced in my review but I would say that the service was a little slow, also, the guy with earings didn't really speak much, when someone comes to the table I like to at least have a small conversation. All in all, it's a no from me. Sorry Thai 4 two, you just aren't an authentic Thai restaurant

We had a wonderful evening here with friends celebrating a birthday. The food was excellent and service was fabulous. I had the salt and pepper squid and Goan curry, both of which were delicious. The glass of fizz and pudding with the candle was a lovely touch, thank you! We will definitely be back and I can highly recommend.

We were on a visit to Rochester and this was the first coffee shop we passed having arrived and parked. We lucked out as the almond croissants were amazing. I've never had such a good one. It's a very small cafe and a little further out of the central part of the town, but definitely worth seeking out. The service was also very friendly and the coffee was good. They had oat milk which I much prefer in latte for the creaminess.

Don't be fooled - this is not a hamburger as we know it. What they call a 'smashed patty' is a wafer thin lacework of minced beef that you can see through, containing gristle, about a quarter the thickness of a hamburger. When I asked for 'no cheese' the waitress did bring a replacement burger but I had to ask for a glass, knife and fork, and serviette. At the end of the meal I paid on their card terminal but they couldn't produce a receipt for me (10% service charge automatically goes on unless you ask for it to be removed). Really poor quality meat, dozy service and they need to sort out their technology. At least the chips were ok. Find somewhere else to eat.

I was extremely disappointed with my experience at The Moat House Coffee Shop. They advertise themselves as child-friendly, but my toddler and I were made to feel anything but welcome. Despite the inevitable mess that comes with young children, which I was actively cleaning up, staff approached me and asked us to leave because my child was âtoo messy.â This was not only embarrassing but also contradicted their supposed family-friendly ethos. If youâre a parent looking for a welcoming space, Iâd recommend going elsewhere. A truly child-friendly establishment should show patience and understanding, not intolerance.
