AMAZING Biscoff croissant! The staff are always extremely friendly here. Lovely seating out the back in warmer weather. Will definitely be back!

I'm not usually a fan of shopping but I could have spent all day here looking at the cards, the books, the beautiful wools... but what a treat was in store on reaching the café. Delicious lunches, luscious cakes and fabulous iced coffees, all at very reasonable prices. The crushed pea/feta/radish on toast was stunning with a mouth watering variety of tastes and textures, beautifully presented and served by lovely staff! Just perfect!

HUGE selection of games. Friendly & welcoming. Good pricing & just all in all a lot of fun & something different. Drinks are well priced with good selections. Food is ok, mainly just snacks. Will definitely revisit, love Playopolis

I had been here maybe 6 years ago, and recently tried it again. The most recent reviews at this time are all very good, lots of 5 stars and lots of mentions of authentic food. I can only assume these people have never been to Thailand and/or had authentic Thai food, because it's simply not, not in the slightest. This restaurant is a perfect example of a place that is catering to English tastes, the green curry was essentially a UK version... much in the same way that Indian restaurants have a tikka masala, which is a completely made up in authentic dish .. so to is Thai 4 twos green Thai curry ... some would say the flagship dish of any Thai eatery. Authentic Thai curry has fish sauce, spicy with lime and crucially sweet basil. This didn't have any of these, furthermore it was actually so weak it wasn't green at all but an off yellow sort of colour, also the chicken was hard and dry and definitely not freshly prepared. I am trying to be more balanced in my review but I would say that the service was a little slow, also, the guy with earings didn't really speak much, when someone comes to the table I like to at least have a small conversation. All in all, it's a no from me. Sorry Thai 4 two, you just aren't an authentic Thai restaurant

We were on a visit to Rochester and this was the first coffee shop we passed having arrived and parked. We lucked out as the almond croissants were amazing. I've never had such a good one. It's a very small cafe and a little further out of the central part of the town, but definitely worth seeking out. The service was also very friendly and the coffee was good. They had oat milk which I much prefer in latte for the creaminess.

Had a great evening here . Night out with my two grown up kids. My boy had the Quadzilla and even his great appetite, he struggled to finish ot. My daughter had a chicken burger and I had the Fiery Fagan. Adding to that all with chips too. A biscoff milkshake, wine and a Brooklyn beer to quench the thirst respectively. A great restaurant, for me the best of its kind in the area. Great service too..and a special mention to Dom our waitress who was superb. Thank U all

I was extremely disappointed with my experience at The Moat House Coffee Shop. They advertise themselves as child-friendly, but my toddler and I were made to feel anything but welcome. Despite the inevitable mess that comes with young children, which I was actively cleaning up, staff approached me and asked us to leave because my child was “too messy.” This was not only embarrassing but also contradicted their supposed family-friendly ethos. If you’re a parent looking for a welcoming space, I’d recommend going elsewhere. A truly child-friendly establishment should show patience and understanding, not intolerance.

Far away from a real and tasty burger! The wait time for the food was 40 minutes. Portions were very small, and the buns looked like they were from Aldi. The burgers had fried tenders instead of proper patties, and the vegetables inside were not fresh. There was something like jarred salad—definitely not fresh. The dips seemed store-bought, and there were fries inside the burger?! Not tasty at all. Compared to the price, it’s not worth it. Service was very average and the 10% is definitely to high 😞

Been back after 3 years for refreshing my memories me and partner had here. So in love with the building and atmosphere it is creating. We had cheese boards and while i was enjoying taking some photos of outside my partner was enjoying all the cheese boards inside 😂. I like to sit out and enjoy to capture daily life of people and beautiful & historical town. Btw lovely staff as usual, delicious food and amazing atmosphere. Just had last bits of cheese and move on. Next time i’ll eat first and then get photos 😅
