It's a lovely place to stop for lunch or a coffee and a chat the only reason I didnt give it 5 stars was the wait even just for drinks otherwise it's perfect

Wasn't impressed at all with this place.Staff seemed really unorganised didn't seem know what they were doing.I asked for a cappuccino.Payed over £2 for one out of a packet you get from the pound shop. That price I should of gone to Costa.

I attend nearly every week for a baby group meet up. The staff are always very friendly and welcoming and the coffee is great. I do find the food a little expensive but it is very nice. Service can be slow at busy times.

Always a warm welcome. Food is very reasonably priced . Light lunches nice cakes and tea or coffee. It was a perfect place to meet up with my wife each week after her lessons at Rochester adult education centre and always warm and cosy during the cold winter spell. Staff are very friendly and caring.

Very friendly community café and bookshop linked to the church next door. A great place to come to get involved with community groups and schemes...and delicious coffee and cake!

Amazing place for kids, especially very young ones as there's space for them to crawl. The staff are the best and make the café feel welcoming and warm. There is also a really good kids group on a Monday morning. Probably the friendliest and most chill café in Rochester! Food & drink are decently priced too.

Moat house hosts different local events. I am always coming for language cafe and NCT bumps and babies meeting. Great and friendly staff. Lots of space. Good baby changing unit. Good and reasonable prices for food and drinks. Their chocolate and orange cake is amazing. Can’t wait for it.

I'm so happy I discovered this place! The staff are so welcoming the food is delicious and what stood out for me is the abundance of puzzles and toys and crafts on offer for the little ones! The staff were so lovely and patient with my little 2 year old who insisted on making a sudden dash behind the counter every so often! Can't wait to go back here! It's a must if your ever in Rochester.

Poped In whilst at dickins Christmas market after watching a brill and funny play outside by church members. We were in the hall opened specially for the event as a fund raiser. Had drinks soup and roll all very nice. Spoke to a gentleman from church about religion and other stuff no pressure. Would recommend

This place is just off the high street, on Crow Lane. The staff are very welcoming, friendly and nice, so the service I can say is excellent. Had jacket potatoes with cole slaw filling (heavenly!) Everything is made fresh, -- the potato was hot and the coleslaw was crispy. A light garden salad came with it -- good value. There is a sizable bookshop/gift shop on the premises with lots of interesting items. enjoyable for a browse.

Popped in with an old friend to catch up. What a great cafe. Good service by friendly staff . Ordered at counter and served at table. Basic food but of good quality. No pressure to vacate your seat. I spent about 1.5 hours sitting and chatting.

I popped in with my family of 5 for a coffee and a snack, you had to order at the counter but all drinks and food was delivered to our table. The Coffee was delicious - mien was a Vanilla Latte and my wife's an Americano. My kids chose Hot Chocolate Deluxe or from the chiller cabinet where you can help yourself. We ordered a selection of jacket potatoes, panini's and cakes. The potatoes were deliciously soft with a generous filling, the panini's had a massive selection - I had Cheese and Marmite. All food came with a small garnish and coffee / hot chocolate came with a biscuit. The coffee shop does have a small Christian book / gift / card shop attached and sofa seating at the back. Mens / Ladies and Disabled toilets were all available too. One thing that stood this coffee shop above others in Rochester was the friendly and personal service.

I recently visited this coffee shop with a group of 10 friends, and unfortunately, our experience was disappointing due to poor service. The café was nearly empty, so we put two tables together to accommodate our group. However, the waitress immediately came over with a loud and aggressive tone, telling us we couldn’t do that, as it wasn’t safe. While we understand safety policies, her approach was unprofessional and made us feel like we weren’t even customers—just an inconvenience. What made the experience even more frustrating was that, despite the lack of other customers, she didn’t offer any alternative or suggest a larger table where we could sit together. We hadn’t made a reservation, but sometimes groups come together spontaneously, and it would have been nice to feel welcome. Overall, we left feeling unwelcome and uncomfortable, which is not what we hoped for from a local coffee shop.

First time visiting The Cheese Room and it did not disappoint. The menu was a set one 2 course £27 or 3 courses for £34. You could also choose toasted sandwiches and lighter lunches. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. We were able to settle down and browse the menu without being interrupted. We had the 2 courses and had Beef Roast with Yorkshire pudding and amazing potaotes, veg was carrots, parsnip, beetroot and squash all roasted. We also ordered cauliflower cheese which is £6 for 2 people. It was lovely to have cauliflower that was cooked and not raw. The pudding we had was out of this world and couldn't fault anything, we had the cheesecake. It was more on the expensive side than i would usually pay, but it was so worth it. Service charge of 10% is automatically added and this is advertised on their website. Was a lovely experience but would recommend booking.
