Great place to hang out if you want to play boardgames

We went there on a Tuesday night, each of us having a tough day at work and at home. So went to change the scenery and let go of the day. Loved it! Staff are super friendly and happy. There was so many games to choose from - a whole library! We had dinner and drinks and car parking was just behind the shop. Cost for food and drink slightly pricey for what they were however we enjoyed the meals while we played.It also costs £4.50 per person to be able to play for 3hrs - I would have liked to have seen, spend over £15 per person on food and drink and play for free.

So many good things about this board game café its hard to know where to start. Simple but great menu offering burgers, paninis, sandwiches and other snacks and sweet treats. A good range of drinks, friendly atmosphere, large tables so you don't feel limited when playing those larger boardgames. Oh and a great range of boardgames. I think my only criticism was that the games on offer were a little hard to navigate, there was a lot of choice and not a lot of organisation. I have been to other board game cafes where they have been sectioned or stickered into genres or arranged alphabetically, making it easier to find a game you might have had in mind. This didn't effect the enjoyment we go t out of our visit though and we will definitely be back.

Such a great place to go. Food is always served hot and wide range to choose from on the menu. So many games to choose from as well with different areas to sit on. Time really does fly when having fun.

I love coming to playopolis! The staff and service I can not fault. The staff are bubbly and helpful and it has such a friendly atmosphere. They have a great selection of board games to choose from and its a great place to spend with your friends. They are also very flexible about staying longer if they have the space available. I dont have a big place so coming here is a great way to get everyone together I also think they have a great selection on their menu and there is something for everyone. I personally love their milkshakes.

Playopolis is the only place where I actually want to spend money. Superb value and fun. Awesome.

Love this place! Been several times, nice atmosphere and there’s definitely a game for everyone, the selection is huge. Theres not a huge vegan selection but definitely some options and the prices are reasonable

Good little place to chill out and have fun your mates. Friendly staff. Kind lady behind the bar gave me an espresso martini on the house. Awesome.

Great place, I love it, amazing selection of boardgames to pick from or bring your own. Great selection of drinks and snacking food, the only reason I only gave 4's for food and service is that there are only normally 2 staff working and they are very busy, so during busy periods you will have to wait for drinks/food. But great atmosphere, I would highly recommend!!

Took the grandchildren here in school holidays. Plenty of games to choose from in the library. The ordering service is convenient using a tablet. The food was tasty and well presented. It did get very noisy during our visit which made it hard to concentrate on our game but overall we had an enjoyable first experience there.

There was such a large variety of games to choose from. They had different types of games, like card games, board games, etc. The workers were especially nice also- they were very kind and and friendly and even made jokes with us. I would definitely come here again!

Playopolis is a fun and cosy board game cafe bar in Rochester, near the castle and the cathedral. The staff are friendly and helpful, and they have a huge collection of board games to suit all tastes and ages. The food and drinks are delicious and affordable, with options like sandwiches, salads, cakes, coffee, tea, beer, and wine. Weve had this place on watch for a while and today we finally decided to go, and it was exactly as advertised, a games cafe, hundreds of board games to choose, really tasty food, and a wholesome atmosphere to the place, a place where you can have fun and geek out. We will be coming back again but this time with more people, would 100% recommend 👍

We love eating the food and playing the games and we want to come back all the time. There are so many games to play, it is well worth a visit. My children played Star Wars monopoly but there are hundreds of other games. The food is simple but so good and customisable. There are options for fuss people too, my elderly relative and young child both managed to find food they would eat. The cocktails are fun and themed to the games which makes it more enjoyable. There are events on often and they are a good way to meet new people.

Really enjoyed Playopolis.. a great selection of games and company helps. Cool space to be in and place feels relaxed midweek. Seating could be better/more comfortable imo. iPad menu and service spot on.

Took my son (3) and daughter (8),here an we had a great time, games were fun, food was really good, milkshakes looked amazing. Staff were really friendly and overall well worth a visit. I'll definitely be coming back very soon. Thank you for making us feel so welcome.

Good to meet up with friends and play for a few hours

This is probably my 10th visit and I had to write a review because each and every single time I have been blown away! The staff are so friendly and supportive and the venue is incredible (I highly recommend getting a spot downstairs as it’s so cozy and has a great atmosphere). It’s extremely affordable and honestly a good time out! Would highly recommend it to anyone!

They have an incredible library of games and really nice selection of food to snack on! You can easily spend 3 hours there without realising any time has passed at all!

Had such a lovely time there 🥰 The cocktails are amazing 🤩 so delicious, and there are plenty of vegan options, and it's all decently priced. Plenty of games given the size of the place :) And the staff are really lovely. I can't wait to go again!

So lucky to have this place on our doorstop! Such an amazing space to play games with friends & family alike. The staff are so friendly & helpful - they could recommend games based on our party size & likes & checked in with us at various points. I love the iPad ordering system too so you get grab drinks & snacks & food without leaving your game! We attended nearly all their online quizzes during lockdown too. Definitely going to be getting membership cards soon!

All good. You pay £4.50 a head to go in there to partake of the games. You get 3 hours for that so plenty of time to enjoy yourself. Appreciate they need to make a profit but was surprised to see we got charged 75p fir a small plastic beaker of squash!! Was listed on the menu so our fault but still somewhat expensive!! Everything else was reasonable though and our grandson enjoyed finding old and new games to play. Will go back.

I've been going to Playopolis for many years and the service is always top notch, the food great and the board games many. I can recommend it to anyone even if you've never played a board game as the staff will be happy to teach you a game or two.

Been here a few times, always have a great time. Went to the quiz night tonight, our came fourth overall! Great, friendly atmosphere, great staff, great selection of games and the food is lovely as well. Can't ask for anything more than that!

Fantastic. Faultless with fantastic staff, the lady there was so freindly and helpful. We loved our biscuit basket and enjoyed the board games, will deffinately be back! Highly reccommed. A lovely time had by us all!

Went there today with my 2 young daughters. All 3 of us had a wonderful time. The lady who greeted us was happy to help and more than happy to answer my 10 year olds questions and even giving them suggestions of other games to play. Will certainly be going back

I feel it's fairly priced and transparent in cost. The hosts that day were friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was chilled. No overbearing background music. Games stored neatly in another room.

It's a really nice place with really lovely owners. We had so much fun! The cocktails were amazing, so much choice and fairly priced. Not a huge selection of food but definitely something for everyone. I've already told so many of my friends who now want to go!

Had a lovely time here, staff was super friendly, there was plenty of space, and the drinks were great. Enjoyed that they had mocktails too. If you have a chance, would absolutely recommend playing Funemployed. Not the most family-friendly game, but it’s a good laugh, especially if you’re up for a bit of improv

A very nice spot to play with your friends, but the hourly stay is very expensive, and has increased over time. Food is also is reflective of the same however, the service is quick and the staff are friendly.

This is a great place to visit, especially if you like board games. They have games for all skills and ages (even little ones). The food options are good and tasty. Service is friendly and swift. The concept is great - book a table ahead of time (they may accept walk-ins if there's space), - then order your food via an iPad that they give you to use. - next you pop into the next room to select a board game and bring it back to your table to play - Your food/drinks arrive as you play and you can order more refreshments via the iPad for the duration of your 3 hour booking - You have a great time and pay when you're done. Great idea that is well-executed!

We popped in there today, what a fantastic spot. The atmosphere was amazing, the food was so tasty and very well priced. Best of all was the choice of games. Had a enjoyable game of Dungeons & Dragons with my wife and kids, took me back to my childhood again. Looking forward to returning again.

Came here for a team building outing for our office. We came for lunch, it was great fun but I have to say I think the entry price should be subsidised if you have food otherwise I can make the outing quite expensive. I understand that they have cost to cover but perhaps if you order over £10 of food and drink you could get the entry at a lower cost. Otherwise it was great fun and the food was actually nice. Will definitely go again.
