The food is great and good quality and the service is great.

Excellent community centred cafe. Reasonably priced, well cooked food, served with care and attention. Clean. Friendly and caring. Outstanding.

I visited again for breakfast. The coffee was great. I love John Streets coffee. Breakfast was delicious with perfect poached eggs. The staff are always so friendly and helpful. If you haven’t been, it’s well worth a visit.

I popped in here while our car was getting new tyres fitted. I meant to have a coffee but I was hungry so why not eat, I thought. I got set breakfast 1. It was all perfectly prepared and very tasty. The flat white and espresso coffees I had were excellent too. The vibe was definitely friendly and very welcoming. I was alone but there were various friends meeting up for coffees, food, and a chat. This place is perfectly named. I'll visit again. You should go too.

Only popped in for a tea quickly but very friendly staff , the food that was coming out looked and smelt good too , will be back to try it

Well attended cafe with a good variety of breakfasts and other delights. Lovely friendly staff. I dropped my knife on the floor and by the time I had picked it up, another clean one was on the table - although the café was full! Would definitely go back again when in the area.

Lovely place, really busy when we went which is always a good sign. The staff were very friendly and helped us with the wheelchair. Just stopped for a cuppa and a plate of chips but we saw other dishes come out and it all looked really nice. 👍👍👍

They were so helpful,opened the door for my wheelchair and made space for me. The bathroom was very clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful 🙂. We will definitely visit them again. Thank you

Lovely friendly staff, can't do enough for you, extensive menu, excellently cooked food, good presentation, exceptionally clean, can sit outside, excellent toilet facilities, child & disabled friendly. Excellent cakes, lovely atmosphere. Coffee also excellent well worth a visit you will go back.

Good food served by friendly staff

Situated centrally in Strood, it is part of the new pedestrianised zone and in addition to the indoor seating, the cafe has outdoor seating which is still a good 20-30 yards away from the traffic. Inside it is both clean and comfortable. The staff are very friendly, the food is very good and the prices are quite reasonable. There are four cafes in central Strood but this one is, in my opinion, easily the best one of them.

First time we visited and very pleasantly surprised, a nice menu, very clean. Good service, tasty food will be going back.

The quality of food is superb, they are always really accommodating when we have the pram with us and always make you feel very welcome. Will definitely be returning, keep up the great work!

We visited recently the Friends Cafe to have a brunch. The service was friendly attentive ready to please the food was all perfectly cooked but best of all they surprised me with the most amazingly delicious decaf COFFEE. I can't wait to go again. An excellent enjoyable place to dine.

Used this cafe several times now at all different times from early morning to late afternoon and things never change always greeted with a smile and friendly welcome service is excellent and the food is excellent as well would recommend this cafe to everyone keep up the good work guys

Love this cafe, number 1 cafe in Medway right now....the Strawberry milkshakes, the food, the staff, it's definitely the best cafe around.

Best Breakfast I’ve had in years. Daughter and I popped in for takeout bacon sandwich couple of weeks ago. Back in as Strood so came in for late breakfast. Bubble was beautiful and they’d even cut the stalk bit off the tomatoes so you could eat the whole thing. Top Notch!

Brilliant cafe. I have recently changed from M&S cafe at the retail park as I was fed up of standing there for ages waiting to be served and getting attitude from the staff. Now I go to Friends cafe on my own during the week and with kids/hubby if we are going to Aldi at the weekend. Family run business. The manager is lovely and friendly, so are all the staff. Food is very quick, large portions, spotless and clean. Some of the reviews here are knocking off a star saying 'too noisy'. How ridiculous. Customers are chatting because they are happy to be there and the staff make them feel welcome and chat - would you rather it was full of Victor Meldrews all sitting in comotose silence? It's a lovely atmosphere. Best toasted teacake in Medway. I wish you all a Merry Xmas.

Everything spotless, staff prompt, efficient & polite, stopped for coffee, which was better than most, inside or outside seating, set on a busy corner in the centre of Strood, ideal for a shopping trip break, have not had time to order a snack, but will do in the future, what we've seen looks delicious.

Food may be on the lower end of the spectrum and a bit overpriced, but is an ideal place to meet with mates. Can be a bit noisy, keep in mind. Kind staff and fast service.

Great service, friendly atmosphere, very spacious and covid friendly. Food was cooked fresh and served very quickly. The toast was so nice, got to get me some of that bread. Took my 2 sons and all 3 plates cleared. They commented that the milkshakes were awesome and the cappuccino was delicious. Will definitely return

Have been in here a few times now and it's a little gem.helpful polite courteous staff and great food. Inside seats about 30 in a well lit square room. prints adorn the walls and a radio plays in the background. Will definitely be back

Food incredible service with a smile what more could you want

Wow, just an amazing place. Clean, the staff are so friendly, and so accommodating. I had a flat white coffee, and i swear, it was the best coffee I have ever had in my life. Both me and my partner had a baguette, both different, but we tried half of each others, and we were amazed at how fresh and tasty everything was, we could tell that the baguette was fresh, the fillings were fresh, the salad was crisp, just 100% perfect. There is nothing I could say to fault this place, Highly Highly Recommended. 10 out of 5 stars from me, and I look forward to going back there to try more food from the amazing menu they offer. I've been to loads of cafés before, and eaten so lovely food, but this knocks them all out of the water. I want to say Thank you to the Barister, the Chef, and the very polite owner, I can't express how much I appreciated being a customer in your establishment, totally the best place I have ever eaten, and it was all quality. You should open a restaurant in London, people appreciate quality food, and quality service. I'll definitely be in again soon Many Thanks Jamie and CC x

Fantastic customer service, staff were very welcoming and friendly. They were testing out different pizzas when I was ordering my food and valued my opinion which was really nice. The food was delicious, will definitely recommend to friends and family!! Xx
