The best restaurants in Central Gravesham South East

I travel half an hour every Friday to collect my Friday take away. I have been eating here for 20 years. Exceptional service, always so welcoming. Lovely people and always lovely to see them on Fridays. The food is amazing with phenomenal portions. The girls are lovely and very helpful. Thank you for being so wonderful and helpful. Would definitely recommend!

Stayed for 3 nights recently, lovely room, clean and spacious. Nice added touch with a fridge and microwave. Very friendly and good location. Would definitely stay again.

Not very happy with my experience, been coming here since 2020, when I usually pick what I want in my combination but this time they said they won’t be doing it again and will charge me extra next time, when I picked it up there is barely any filling and all rice, I couldn’t even finish it, unfortunately this experience has put me off coming here not sure if they have new management that are trying to cut corners.

Unfortunately this was not a good experience, this must have been one of the worst meals I have had in a long time, only ones in restaurant so atmosphere poor to say the least, only one member of staff who done everything from service to cooking, which was not great, decor so shabby paper coming off the walls ,strange smell and tablecloths discoloured and holed to the point of needing replacing, someone on a previous comment said 1970 decor, think they was right and that's the last time it was decorated. This is a place I will not be going back to or could ever recommend to anyone thinking of going there, ultimately my advise pick somewhere else, Gravesend must have better places.

One of the best restaurants I've ever been to. Food was always 10/10 and the staff were the friendliest I've ever met. They genuinely took pride in their restaurant and you could tell from the look on their faces. I recommend the Goat Curry Naan Malai Kofta with Chicken Tikka to top it off. And their Chicken Biryani is one of the best in town. If you're ever in Gravesend, definitely check out Suman's Kitchen! Thank you for having me!

Fantastic quality and portion of food, great service time. Ordered a cheeseburger to take away, and the beef was nicely seasoned, fresh ingredients, and a massive bun, almost as big as my hand. Ordered chips as well and they were chunky, not too salty, and came in a large batch. Definitely go again.

Friendly and welcoming staff, small no-nonsense interior, great food selection. Coffee and sandwich nicely served, generous with the filling. Didn't get the brown bread I asked for but I didn't ask for it straight away when I made the order.

Just happened to walk in off the street this evening, and had a damn nice curry for a really good price. Staff were all warm and welcoming, thank you! Also have the mention the bathrooms downstairs are incredible!

We visited R & M Italiano for the first time tonight. Thoroughly enjoyed it ! Food, atmosphere..everything..would recommend and will definitely be going back.

Lovely place to eat and drink and enjoy

Unfortunately they got my order wrong, but as I was in a hurry to go out, I didn't have the time to phone and get it sorted. I was also swayed, however, by the fact that what I did get waa really tasty, and I got my order on time. I have used the restaurant a few times and they are usually great, so the mistake on this one occasion was no big deal in the grand scheme of things.

Curry Mecca has the best food and all the staff are very friendly

Authentic Chinese cuisine, food is delicious! Service from Ivy and Loong is lovely. If you want a quality night out where you are treated to an authentic Chinese meal and a great experience, this is the place to go.

The batter was soggy and the fish was lukewarm. Very disappointed as usually the food is beautifully cooked. The chips were also soggy .. I hope the restaurants quality is not diminishing. I am a regular customer and I hope this is not an indication that the quality, which until now has been excellent, is not declining.
