**Review for the Red Lion** I had a disappointing experience at the Red Lion last night. Unfortunately, I encountered a confrontational young male bar staff member who raised his voice at me, despite my requests for him to calm down and end the conversation. As the owner of a successful care business, I was alarmed not only by his tone but also by the unprofessionalism displayed while I was seated with a professional colleague. When the bar staff member continued his aggressive behavior, I sought assistance from what appeared to be a senior staff member. I expressed my concerns, highlighting that I often tip bar staff generously and purchase drinks, and that I do not expect to be treated in such a manner. However, the young man approached us again and became confrontational, insisting on staying despite my request for him to leave the conversation. Ultimately, when I informed the senior staff member that we would be leaving and mentioned that my company would likely reconsider using the Red Lion for future stays, her response was simply, "That's up to you." This lack of concern for customer experience struck me as a strange way to run a business. It's worth noting that all this trouble stemmed from a simple request for a shot of lime in soda water. We decided to leave and went to the Vito Lounge, where we enjoyed a lovely meal, and the bar staff were not only polite but also got our order right. I will certainly be choosing Vito Lounge in the future over the Red Lion.

My Wife booked an afternoon tea online for a 80th birthday but it was cancelled by text on morning a couple of hours prior to the booking, have taken prepaid payment including tip and as yet not committed to refunding any money. Landline number is not working. Owner has spoken to us and claims electric company has cut them off. Still no confirmation of refund.

Was so very disappointed, after everything we had heard we were expecting great things. On arrival we were ignored and not acknowledged for 10 minutes. The venue is very attractive and well laid out, there is generally a positive ambience except the initial welcome. The food did not live up to expectations, all was bland and although we all had different dishes they all tasted the same, no chillies or spice in the meals . The place is quite pricey and sadly it was definitely not worth the money. Real shame

I’ve regularly enjoyed meals at Umami’s Southsea restaurant, where the food is consistently excellent. However, ordering takeaway from the Fareham branch has been disappointing. They almost always forget to include the drinks with the kids’ meals, and the last three chicken bubble wraps I ordered were poor—chewy chicken, dry wrap, and barely any jerk sauce, leaving the wrap falling apart on opening. Given the price, I expect the same quality as Southsea, but unfortunately, the Fareham branch doesn’t meet those standards.

Very very dissapointing poor quality food rice was not cooked properly described as egg fried rice not even one piece of egg within the 4 portions that came because I ordered the food for 4. The chicken quality very poor and the blackbean chicken full of chillies. I ordered the meal for 4 for £41.60 plus all the add ons for uber delivery surely delivery by uber should be free £4 for delivery. Never again will I order food from this place again plus all the feedback from family really really disgusted with the entire experience

This was my first time using corriander take away and the last ... an hour wait wasn't so bad on a Saturday..ordered lamb chops....these were awful ..should be on the menu as mouse ribs in a tub of onion very little to no meat on the bone ..very poor ...The mains were worse ... The lamb jalfrizei was over cooked the lamb, so tough it almost could have doubled as a doorman .. the roshni was hotter yet was supposed to be mild ... won't be ordering from them again.

i normally love this place eat here quite often never had many problems but today was different. i ordered 2 brownies and 2 milkshakes too my table. first off all the forgot one of my brownies but then when i asked for my second they told me i didn’t order a second and had to re pay even tho i had the receipt. after ordering my second brownie to my table the worker decided to come over and chuck it onto my table in front of me. just thought this was quite rude since he spoke in quite a rude manner to me and my friends before this.
