The best restaurants in Banbury Grimsbury and Castle Cherwell South East

The taste and value of the food was first class. The only issue we have is the price of alcoholic drinks. We would ordinarily have two or three drinks each with a three course meal but at almost £9 for a medium 175ml glass of Pinot Grigio (which they call "large" on their menu), we decided to just have one drink each with a main course then move to a different establishment for dessert and another drink. It's a shame. There is absolutely no need to price their drinks so highly. It put us off for sure. We are unlikely to return because of this. The prices on the drinks menu on the Google page is outdated. Just a warning to those who enjoy a couple of drinks with their food.

Just had a goat curry with rice,peas and potatoes. Very tasty.

Dropped in here for a pint whilst waiting for a train. Fantastic pub, quite busy, music being played, pool table!! Great atmosphere, quick service, beer was fantastic. I would recommend this pub.

Enjoyed some tasty food from here. Customised to tastes. Lots of options made fresh. Recommend the samosas. Sometimes busy, but worth the wait.

Ordered a 3 meat mixed kebab. Food was delivered to Premier within 35mins and was hot fresh and very nice kebab, meats all good! Helpful Driver too 👍

We had lovely succulent cod in really crispy batter with crispy chips that had a nice soft centre, all with salt and vinegar that you can actually taste! The portions sizes are very generous and all the staff are lovely even at the busiest of times. In our opinion this is the BEST fish n chips in Banbury by far!

Known as the number one fish and chips restaurant in Banbury, it certainly deserves its reputation~ Every plate is really a mountain of French fries. Different from the ordinary fried crispy French fries, in addition to the unique aroma and crispy texture of fried food, the French fries here also have a chewy texture like fried sweet but not spicy. , so special that you can eat a whole mountain without even realizing it! The best fish and chips here, which one is better, the French fries or the fried fish? ! The fried fish is more beautiful than the French fries. It is fresh, crispy and delicious. The two set off each other and complement each other perfectly!

Excellent Sunday lunch. Crispy pigs head starter was delicious, roast beef main was tasty and tender and vegetables cooked perfectly. Chocolate mousse cake and heritage grain ice cream (home made) to finish. Service was great. Thankyou to the team.
