The food! This is a jem of a find in Banbury, less expensive than MCD's but soooo much taster. At around £10 per person, the value is outstanding! I haven't eaten curried goat this good in a long time!! Well worth a visit! The staff are very friendly and welcoming.

Absolute waste of money. £10 for one piece of fried chicken and rice. About 2 mouthfuls of chicken which was tasteless and the rice wasn't very tasty either. Will not be going again

£14 for two portions of jerk chicken wings. Tasted like burnt bbq and they were drowning in a thick dark brown sauce. Not a hint of spice to it. Total waste of money.

It gives me great joy to have the opportunity to sample Jamaican cuisine. To be honest, it was incredibly tasty, and it just makes me happy and excited to acquire more of it. I was blown away by everything, from the salad to the chicken and rice, and it was a fantastic experience for me. And having only the food makes me question what else I’m missing out on in Jamaica.

I wanted this to be good but being from south london I suppose my expectations were high. The jerk sauce tasted like bbq and had no spice. The rice and pea portion was very small and very dry. The plantain tastes like a banana rather than plantain. I paid £18 for small jerk rice plantain coweslaw and a ting

It's the second time I come here and get the fried chicken. It is always crispy and nicely cooked through without it being dry. The rice with gravy and a portion of fried plantains was super tasty as well. I'll definitely eat here in the future.

Delicious! We’ve been looking for good Caribbean food since we moved to Banbury and we’ve found it. Had chickpea curry, plantains, and dumplings. All very, very tasty. And great price given how much food we were given (very generous serving of everything, easily enough for two of us, and the dumplings in particular were gigantic!). And a good spot to sit and eat it as well. Will definitely be coming back.

Went yesterday, had curry goat and fried dumplings, both absolutely delicious, ignore the other reviews. Goat was tender and the curried sauce was lovely, portion was more than big enough, the fried dumplings are HUGE and you get 3 for £1.50, I was stuffed for most of the day, will definitely go back, the owner is a really nice chap too and felt like he really loved making the food, nice to have something like this in rubbish old Banbury. Highly recommend.

I'm sad to see a lot of the comments here complaining about the spice levels. Caribbean food is not all about heat! If you want something hot, add the homemade hot sauce they make, it's absolutely wonderful. Also, some of you guys need to check your sodium levels! The goat curry was absolutely lovely. Buttery goat, slow cooked, and stewed down to perfection. The rice and peas are full of flavour, a little allspice goes a long way here. And the cabbage was a great addition.

Absolutely brilliant food with excellent service. We noticed a few people eating from here last week when passing, came back through lock 29 today and decided to give it a try. We weren’t sure what to get so the gentleman serving let us try a small bite and we were sold straight away. He was lovely to speak to and made our experience feel very personal and you could tell that he truly cooks from his heart. The food was delicious and made us feel so homely. Our meal was flavourful and a great price. The food was flavourful and made you go to a completely different place. After a long day at work it was very much needed and it was great to meet such a lovely guy and learn about his cuisine and culture! Will definitely be back.

We really enjoyed the food. On different occasions, we ordered oxtail, curry goat, fried chicken and fried dumplings. This was a true Jamaican experience (and this is coming from someone who was born in Jamaica and grew up in Jamaica for over 20 years). Very pleased with the portion size as well. This was one of the few places in the UK where we have actually received very large portion sizes, comparable to what you would typically receive in Jamaica. This was value for money and the food was authentic! I am very surprised to see negative reviews about the spice levels. Typically, Jamaican food is not necessarily spicy. Unfortunately, there is an incorrect perception that ALL Jamaican food is spicy. We have great seasoning and if you want to add that extra kick of pepper, you would typically add your own hot pepper sauce (or directly eat the scotch bonnet pepper if you're feeling really adventurous!). Not every Jamaican loves extremely spicy food. Thank you D'Moodz for honouring the Jamaican flavour. We will be regular customers. Happy to have you in Banbury!

Have eaten here a couple of times now and the food gets better and better...unlike the reviews I would highly reccomend the crispy chicken wings, chickpea curry and goat curry. The rice and peas had loads of flavour and the portions are great for the price. They do sell out quick so get there early ;)

So my family and I took a trip from london to visit, and it was well worth the trip. The Jerk chicken was both Charred and juicy, as it should be. The flavour was phenomenal. The curry goat was actually goat and not bone and gravy as you tend to get in most shops. A good size portion and a variety of drinks. The dumplings were soft and fluffy, and its all tied together with positive vibes from the Chef. The prices may seem high but when you consider the fact you are eating food that takes hours to prepare from marinating to cooking then add in overheads it takes to run a business its well priced. I was very proud that day to #SupportBlackBusiness

I wish I had read the previous reviews! While they now have a smaller portion of most dishes for £10, like the earlier reviewers I found the food to be oh so bland, totally unlike any Caribbean food I've had before. I shall not be rushing back.

There was NO SPICE nothing the rice was dry and the chicken was nasty he didn’t have jerk sauce he only had brown sauce!!! Brown sauce this is not a cafe what Jamaican takeaway has brown sauce!!! Am from Banbury and this is a no for me AVOID AT ALL COST!!!

Wow! This place is really expensive! £20 for a single large goat curry, plantain and a single can of coke! The food had zero spice! I mean Caribbean cuisine needs to have that scotch bonnet spice running through it. The plantain was hard and the dumplings were fried to death and rock hard! As I’m writing this I still can’t believe what they’re charging!
