Visited the hotel for a meal, food was excellent, service amazing. The staff were the most politest people we have been served by for a long time. Will definitely be going back

Decided to make a quick stop to grab some breakfast. Ordered breakfast baps and was delighted by the quality. Great stop for food made to perfection

I’m a local, lived here my whole life. I was turned away despite it not being busy at all, looked at like I was dirt. Despite coming there with my partner and her friend, dressed smart casual. You’re a pub, not even an upscale restaurant in a tiny village inside a tiny town. I don’t understand the classist behaviour. Don’t bother coming here, condescending and classist attitude all around.

Spent one night at Premier Inn Whitstable, and it was a great experience. The room was clean and comfortable, offering excellent value for money. What truly made our stay unforgettable, though, was the warm and cheerful welcome we received from the receptionist. After a long day of travel, it wasn’t just a standard check-in—it was a genuinely friendly and welcoming experience filled with positivity. We’ll definitely be back! The location is especially ideal. Situated along the A299, it offers easy access to London, but for us, the quick connection to Canterbury was the highlight. By simply following one road, you can reach the West Gate of the famous medieval city in just ten minutes from the hotel.

On Friday 25th.Oct we visited The Sportsman with friends and had a lovely evening, the food was outstanding with great attention to detail. Even the bread selection was good. Every course didn’t disappoint and was superbly tasty. I particularly loved the roast partridge with bread sauce and rose hip syrup. The Lemon Verbena Posset with Madeline’s was lovely but the lemon tea that was served with it was horrible, it tasted like Lemsip but not as good. However, this didn’t matter as everything else was excellent. We will be returning.

Worst place ever tried to go here multiple times as I am a a holiday home near by every time it’s closed and it says it’s open at the door and online useless waste of time don’t expect them to be open in this tiny village

Four of us went for our Christmas lunch. On arrival staff looked harrased and not sure which was our table. Restaurant very busy drinks orders taken quickly and a good started arrived within a reasonable. The table was not cleared before our main course arrived .one special diet had been ordered waitress had to take food back to the kitchen came back and said that all four meals were specials. Two had no pigs or stuffing never saw any Yorkshire puddings. Gravy arrived at end of meal. Unable to supply four identical puddings. No atmosphere staff and chef need supervision
