Visited the hotel for a meal, food was excellent, service amazing. The staff were the most politest people we have been served by for a long time. Will definitely be going back

Decided to make a quick stop to grab some breakfast. Ordered breakfast baps and was delighted by the quality. Great stop for food made to perfection

I held a surprise afternoon tea here for my mum's 60th birthday and a dozen of her friends. The food was absolutely delicious, we were sat in the beautiful conservatory area and the cafe staff couldn't have been more helpful in the run up to the party and on the day itself. We had a wonderful time!

Probably the best Michelin ⭐️ restaurant I’ve had in the UK so far! All courses are consistently well performed (so delicious and well flavoured) I love the oyster and pork belly the most. There are also selection of bread and pudding before pudding (I feel so spoiled!) Keep up the good work and I would love to come back for more 💗

we made the 140 mile trip to Whitstable on a recommendation from a well know train enthusiast & ex politician. we booked months in advance. We understood this restaurant had1 Michelin star, Having eaten at many "Started" restaurants in the passed we were very excited to see hat they could offer, both of us loving fish we could not wait. Upon arrival I was shocked at the ram shackle appearance of the whole place and had to check we were at the correct place. Scruffy & untidy describe it well. the food however was even more of a let down, bland with no flavour . The presentation was appalling. with what looked like 1 potato with the sides cut off & some very unappealing broccoli, limp & tasteless. How " The Sportsman" has a Michelin star I will never understand. maybe they have lost it now as there is no mention of it on the website. However, Michelin star or not the food & ambience did not reflect the price being asked. I did voice my disappointment at the time & my bill was reduced. I would not recommend "The Sportsman" on any level there are far better local eateries in the town which provide better food at a much lower cost

Hello folks.. for the Premier Inn Whitstable Hotel There are 2 options: core renovation or just lighting. Absolutely cannot be recommended. The hallway is discreetly lined with carpets and is very narrow because the loungers inside are very warm and stuffy. But people also find the carpet a great soft thing in the rooms with stains. The size of the rooms is not an option for a stay in these. Our bathroom had a tub that was too small for bathing and too dangerous for showering. The hygiene items provided leave something to be desired, especially the toilet paper, which is more than thin and small in the individual dispenser. The overpriced breakfast is not worth the price, and there is no distinction between what you have booked. The beans taste like cardboard. Bacon rancid, the toaster that is available cannot keep up, as does the overwhelmed staff, who changed them every day. I can get better in every Lidl on Backstrasse. Nothing was changed every day. You can only get the Rome service if you order it the evening before. All in all, this was one of the worst hotel stays ever. We will no longer book Premier Inn and cannot recommend it to anyone.

Popped in for a quick coffee after being stuck in traffic. Lovely young lady, Lily, served me. I couldn't decide what to have so she recommended I try one of the Christmas drinks. Loved it! Will definitely be back when I'm down this way. So nice to be served by a genuinely friendly member of staff too.🎄

Worst place ever tried to go here multiple times as I am a a holiday home near by every time it’s closed and it says it’s open at the door and online useless waste of time don’t expect them to be open in this tiny village

Although on their website it didn't say that there was a set Sunday menu ( I fancied something off the normal menu) I opted for a roast lamb! Totally didn't disappoint and made up for not being able to have what I wanted 🤣 Great atmosphere, staff really friendly, food and drink- definitely no complaints from us. Better still, dog friendly! Will visit again when we are back in the area.
