Visited the hotel for a meal, food was excellent, service amazing. The staff were the most politest people we have been served by for a long time. Will definitely be going back

Decided to make a quick stop to grab some breakfast. Ordered breakfast baps and was delighted by the quality. Great stop for food made to perfection

Probably the best Michelin āļø restaurant Iāve had in the UK so far! All courses are consistently well performed (so delicious and well flavoured) I love the oyster and pork belly the most. There are also selection of bread and pudding before pudding (I feel so spoiled!) Keep up the good work and I would love to come back for more š

Absolutely fabulous food as always. Had a light early dinner of sharing starters, salad and chips. The sizzling prawns were phenomenal. All dishes we had were fresh and full of flavour. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. The dog was treated like a little King! All in all a lovely dining experience. Obviously as most places dogs only allowed in bar area so atmosphere score was lower than everything else as itās just a standard pub feel. Restaurant area is lovely though.

Truly excellent experience at The Sportsman. Yes, the outside of the building isn't as smart/tidy as it could be but the service was so friendly and attentive and the quality of the food was outstanding. We opted for the 5-course menu and were blown away by it all. Lovely to have a choice for the starter, fish, main and pudding courses because many tasting menus don't give a choice. Absolutely recommend and, if we didn't live so far away, we would be there quite often!

We often choose a Premier Inn as they're very reliable and this one was no exception. The room was comfortable and clean. The staff were particularly friendly and helpful especially restaurant staff. We had the eat as much as you like breakfast which was freshly cooked and delicious.

Popped in for a quick coffee after being stuck in traffic. Lovely young lady, Lily, served me. I couldn't decide what to have so she recommended I try one of the Christmas drinks. Loved it! Will definitely be back when I'm down this way. So nice to be served by a genuinely friendly member of staff too.š
