The best restaurants in Wendover Aylesbury Vale South East

I do like to stop and support roadside eateries when I can. Not necessarily healthy but what the hell, on occasions why not. The small of frying onions activates the taste buds and along with a 'bucket' of black coffee the burgers 'hit the spot!'

An informal friendly appeal, with a village hall atmosphere. Very tasty cakes and good service. All a bit jolly hockey sticks but can’t fault the food and drinks

This is the best Indian food we have had. Been coming here and having takeaways for over 15 years and always think every time how nice it is. Food tastes delicious and fresh and is never too oily. Staff are always very friendly.

Excellent selection of wines and cheeses. Great coffee and warm, friendly service.

First time we've used Wendover Plaice. And had Gluten free fish and chip and normal fish and chip best I've had in a long time. Definitely be using again.

Dropped in for an unplanned late lunch. We chose the 6 tapas for £48. The food was just amazing, each and every mouthfull was a delight. Service was excellent too. Love the way dished arrive a couple at a time so you can eat at your own pace and the food is always hot. Two of us sat on a table for four, just as well as the plates of food are generous, you won't leave hungry!

I met my friend for lunch for the second time at Lady Grey and yet again we had a great time. The food was lovely ( sandwiches chosen ) and we had drinks of course. On arrival a glass of water was given ( hot day and I’m sure I was bright red)!!!

We came across this little gem when out for a walk in Wendover. Although the outside seating allocation was full due to the lovely weather, we easily found a spot inside. We both ordered the large breakfast, which arrived promptly. For the price, you got a very good portion. The black pudding was very tasty, the hash browns were perfectly crispy, the bacon was meaty with a nice margin of fat for flavour; also, perfectly cooked eggs, well cooked sausages etc. The food was piping hot too. Our only criticism would be the use of semi-skimmed milk. Recent studies show that full-fat dairy products are protective against diabetes, obesity and heart disease. Large numbers of people and cafes are switching back to whole milk. I recommend you use whole milk too for health and flavour reasons, as it makes coffee etc. taste much creamier and you need less of it!

All 7 Wendover pubs took part in a Pub Crawl over the 3 days of the August Bank Holiday. So many people discovered the charm and friendly atmosphere of this little gem in the High Street. Thanks for a great weekend and look forward to visiting again soon.

Friendly staff and delicious food.

Bel and the dragon is a lovely historical building. The bar is what you would expect from place with a real log fire. However, Over the rooms when first inspected are very clean and spacious we found that there wasn't enough lighting and very deal. We found it very hard to go to sleep when neighbors and people in the beer garden was parteen or still drinking well into the early hours 🤔 So if you are booking a room for a night or 2 just to be aware of the noise pollution and poor lighting in the room but, If you can get over these things then you ll have a pleasant stay.

Really good food. Popper into Wendover for a half term stopover on the way home. So glad we picked Luccas. Food was excellent and we felt at ease with our kids here. Gluten free pizza was amazing and the kids portions very big. Will come back for sure!
