Very good lunchtime Thai restaurant with a decent set of beers etc. very cheap overall

Birthday meal for my wife with four other members of family. I started with a soup and went on to main. So, so tasty.

Nice pub, friendly staff and service.

Great food, though a little pricey. They do a set menu option, which is great value for money. It is a great pub with lots of space and a great atmosphere. There are plenty of tables for large groups though I would recommend booking as it is very popular. Parking nearby can be a challenge but it is in the centre of town so walking is the best option. Traditional decor and great location.

The food was nothing spectacular, but it didn't need to be. We had the Monday set menu which is really good value. Pub and asian food is a great combination.

Excellent Thai food at a reasonable price at lunchtime.

So many people have recommended that we try the Thai food at the G&D so we popped down after work. The place was buzzing even at 6.30 on a Tuesday but they squeezed us in. The food is delicious and great value and the staff are lovely. We ordered from the special menu where you get a starter, main and side for £14. My sweet and sour tofu was packed with lovely fresh veggies and was really tasty.

I visit this establishment on a whim, it's an old building so it has low ceiling which isn't ideal if your over 5'10. The menu options were good and I I enjoyed my set menu £14pp (starter & main). The food came out in reasonable quick and it was very nice. I just personally find that once we has finished, I was being rushed out. Example: I used the card machine to pay and there was the option to email my receipt and as I was typing the lady looked and grabbed it out of my hand saying "no time for that" and printed it out. RUDE!

Food was OK although differed from how it read on the menu, hate that they clear plates whilst your still eating. Drinks ordering seemed difficult 3 large coke, 1 small coke, 1 lemonade & 1 x 0% beer apparently is complicated. Did ask for a orange and lemonade but was told no just coke or lemonade 🤔..... I would get the 90 min table rule if busy but it was 6pm on a Monday there were 2 other table 1 x 3 ppl , 1 x 2pp

A Thai restaurant pretending to be a pub and doing neither well. The food is dulled down to the point of bland and the beer is overpriced.

Super tasty and healthy Thai food with two course lunches available Tuesday to Sunday 12-2pm for a very readonable £11 for two course. Excellent value and very friendly efficient sevice. My favourite place to eat for the last 5 years or more!

A good pub with a Thai restaurant, what's not to like?

Food was superbly cooked and presented. Staff were very attentive to our table and immediately noticed if there was anything we needed and we felt valued as customers. All round was a very pleasant and memorable experience. Have been once before and we will definitely be returning.

This is a fantastic place ! The food is excellent, traditional Thai food at its best. The staff are super friendly and can't help you enough. The menu is vast, spoilt for choice. If you are ever in the area and love Thai food, then this is the place to come.

Excellent Thai restaurant. Authentic and run by Thais from near Hua Hin. The £15 standard menu for starter, main and drink was very good value.

Very nicely made, fresh tasting meal with well cooked vegetables. Our first order and we really enjoyed it.

Lovely pub. I was served by Sammy who gave us 10/10 service, and went above and beyond that, which he didn’t need to do. I’d be happy spending my money here knowing they hire such helpful, friendly and attentive staff, based on Sammy’s service.

The place was packed and was a little noisy as some football was on. The food however was excellent and would definitely come back! Try if it you are near wendover.

Always full of drunks and a lot of fights, no idea how they keep their licence. Worrying to see the staff pick on people at random and deliberately make them very uncomfortable.

Food as good as always . Unfortunately had some drunken guests start an argument . They ended up throwing a peice of food at my mother 65 year old mother . It had a peice of wooden sharp edge and could she injured her dearly , She has been eating here for years and did not feel supported by the staff at the George and dragon, a true shame , she was deeply saddened.

Having loved in Thailand, I’m always on the search for authentic Thai food and I’ve food it located next to my office! What’s better is the meal offers making it affordable. We often have Thai for lunch at work now as everyone loves the choice of dishes within the deal. Highly recommend and will continue to visit regularly! Staff are also lovely which is a bonus.

Lovely and delicious Thai food at very reasonable prices. We were there for the early bird special and I was amazed at the quality of the food. The green curry and stir-fried chicken with cashews were both tasty. Staff are friendly and attentive. I noticed a lot of takeaways being collected at the bar - so it must be a popular place! The bar is friendly too, unpretentious and with a good atmosphere. Will definitely come back, much better value than the overpriced Oh Phuket in Tring.

We were in Wendover for our son’s graduation from the RAF. This place was recommended to us by RAF personnel. We called in at 7pm but they were fully booked. The owner came over and said a table was booked for 8pm, so as long as we are and we’re away by then we could have that table. We were so grateful as we’d had a long day and were cold and wet. We ordered our food and it was beautiful…piping hot and delicious and also reasonably priced. Would highly recommend!

It’s a lovely busy pub where you can either enjoy a drink, watching football or have a good Thai meal. I really enjoyed that they didn’t offer traditional pub options and Sunday roast and instead they had lovely Thai food in good prices. Highly recommended.

Interiors are nice and Staff are friendly however one staff member (presumably the owner) was walking around coughing everywhere. Food was hugely overpriced and very underwhelming and poor (but seems arranged by a separate company). Ordered veggie burgers which were extremely basic and prison-esque for the price. Came in to watch the football after exploring chiltern hills and they put a Christmas film on midway through the game to accomodate a booking, very strange.

Hard to beat Thai hospitality. Not a huge selection but all tasty and well presented fo minimal cost.

The pub is located at the centre of Wendover. It’s an old building maintained in good condition with two rooms, one for dining and the main area who customers can watch the games on telly. The food was basic and nice, with very reasonable prices.

Classic British style pub with great Thai food. As you walk in to the left is a large tv usually with a sports game playing. Areas to drink at bar. On the right is dinning area. Staff always welcoming, great service and hospitality.

The set lunch menu is £10 for two courses which is amazing value! My friend and I had the veg samosas were delicious and the peanut sauce was to die for. I asked for veg in sweet and sour as I am a veggie and it was no trouble. Great service. Will be back!

The food is just lovely, fresh, and cooked quickly. Vert tasty, with a good kick of spice. Lovely atmosphere can be a little noisy if seated in the bar area, not restaurant. Everything is very reasonably priced with meals and drink deals throughout the week.

My boyfriend and I have been coming here for years. It is a very small part of the pub covering the Thai food element. Always busy. We always book ahead and I always have a green curry extra spicy and a pad Thai- meaning I take some home and have a delicious breakfast the next day. I am just about to order a take away-lovely food. Tip for customers-book before you come. Tip for the restaurant-prawn crackers are so delicious and very very cheap. Some of these to welcome guests would make all the difference. Thank you for the amazing food!

Certainly not what you expect when you initially walk in. Very much a standard British pub on first glance, the business also runs as a Thai restaurant - a very good one at that! Our waitress was polite and friendly, smiling the whole time during our meal. We chose off the set menu, which was effectively two courses with the choice to increase the portion of the starter, which we both did. It was a platter, the pick of the items being the Tempura Prawns for me (cracking dips to go with them). For the main course, I chose the Katsu Curry and Sticky Rice. Couldn’t fault it - good portion and the Katsu sauce was spot on (a slight sweetness to it). As Thai meals go, this was up there with the best of them - I wouldn’t normally pick a Thai but this has changed my mind going forward.

Went for lunch on a Sunday and took advantage of the special set menu for £10/head. Food, service and atmosphere was great and very good value for money. You also have the pub drinks as well as a bonus. I'll be going again.

The best value meal in Buckinghamshire. Food authentic and delicious and the lunch , early bird and mid week offers are incredible value. No fillers just natural coconut based sauce and lovely buzzing atmosphere. The teeny team of waiting staff are super efficient and work really hard to feed the many punters. All I can say to the person giving this a bad review is that she appears to only like chain pubs and restaurants where things are bought in. Also most of those places don’t offer service you pay at the bar!!!.

Went ther for the "Authentic Thai" lunch with my Mum. We drove all the way fro Milton Keynes to Wendover, just to have lunch our Chicken Satay, Fish Cakes and Pad Thai; 2 courses for £10. My god it was so Tasty and gray value for money, very big portion mainscousre. Aom and her team are very friendly and welcoming. Go and try it, you will not be disappointed. They also do takeaways as well.

Not quite the choice of ale I prefer [Doom Bar and Pride plus two other changing] but well kept all the same. The Thai food here is always 5star but this visit was just a swift pint visit. Took a bit longer to get served tha it oughtl but it was busy.

Excellent food, huge helpings . The staff were very friendly , we did feel a bit rushed though. This is a small back room to a pub which is not to my taste, full of beer swilling football watching people. The restaurant bit only has a few tables and be warned the tables are very close together and it is very warm in there. The woman at the next table to us found our conversation so scintillating to the point of virtually ignoring her friends in favour of listening to us!!!

Terrible service! Never known such miserable unfriendly rude staff. I've been here with my partner and family a few times and thought ok? Everyone has bad days? But blimey!!! Miserable and a very unfriendly welcoming approach by all staff! 5he food is another story!!! Very bland and not as it says on the menu? I highly UN recommend this pub/restaurant. Its a no from me.

Best Thai food and great fresh Ale . I had the green curry with coconut rice special takeaway option for £7.50 and it was lush.

Unless u are a hobbit avoid this place the ceilings are unbelievable low, quaint but not practical for a normal sized human. Also had the displeasure of being served by the “small Thai lady” as mentioned in previous posts, what a bad attitude for customer facing staff. Won’t be going back there again🤔

We visited during the week and took advantage of a great value special offer. I had a Thai red curry, my partner had a Thai green curry, and we shared a selection of starters. Service was amazing, and the meal was great value.

Never been there, walk through it almost every day. Looking from the outside looks ok, but I can't really give a review.

After nearly a year of drinking there, they have now decided to not serve me and not accept my ID. Poor service
