It is a lovely,clean and friendly restaurant. Delicious food and quick service.

The menu has a lot to choose from, and as I was walking out I saw the pizza on another table and it looked awesome. The kid menu had a good selection as well.

We came in July for my birthday dinner and it is our favourite restaurant in Buckingham. Service is always fantastic, warm and welcoming and the food is delicious. Service this time went above and beyond especially as I recieved a surprise dessert for my birthday, a really lovely surprise to the end of a special day. Thank you again for such a wonderful evening

My favourite Italian in the area. I love their gluten free mushroom pasta. Lovely staff and place. Worth the 30 mins drive. Will go back to try desserts 😀

We sat outside and the garden area is lovely. Service was welcoming and quick, Food was good and would return.

The food here is realy lovely this was always our first go to place, have had many large family meals here, staff is lovely, service is great, but was very Disappointed the last time we came in they have changed their spaghetti pasta to this thick pasta and it is not as enjoyable anymore so we have not been in since its a real shame.

Visited today for lunch as a special treat with my husband. The lunch menu is good value & we both ordered pizza. The pizza was overcooked, the cheese was overcooked & brown. The pizza was dry which was a really shame as we went reading all the reviews...this was not an artisan pizza sadly.

What a fantastic place ! My grandson and I went for supper after a day at Silverstone. I rang about an hour in advance and the manager was extremely helpful. We were greeted with a smile and shown to our table which was fine. I noticed that they have an outside area so we moved there and sat in a booth in the sun. The service was excellent and I met the friendly owner too. My grandson had pizza which he loved and I had a salad and pasta which were both delicious. A lovely glass of red wine added to the enjoyment. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and exactly what we needed after to day out. Many thanks to the superb manager and staff.

For our taste a bit too complicated as though you can't have Italian food without lots of flavouring, cheese, garlic, or better still more than one kind of cheese. The skill of good Italian food is to use excellent seasonal food and flavour it delicately. Nevertheless we ate an average meal and won't rush back there. The premises are beautiful and the service friendly.

Food very average Starter mushrooms over priced very small portion it had a re heated feel about it.Pasta heavy gloopy very below average. A quick Monday evening meal for two Just under £100 for pasta not good value or good quality. Service was good but that was the only positive thing about the experience!!

Not impressed. Started garlic bread under the grease had a burnt taste to it. The pizza bases were mush and again very oily, water tasted like they’d got it out the toilet. Really not impressed. Waitress was nice and friendly though.

Exceptional staff with a wonderful server, nothing was too much trouble. The food was of the highest quality and we had good hot portions served on warm plates. Variety of dishes on the menu was also good with something for everyone. A wonderful meal.

Prego always deliver great food. This is our go to takeaway in Buckingham and I would highly recommend. Brilliant selection of gluten free options and it's always piping hot when it arrives

I’d like to firstly note that our waitress was very friendly and there’s nothing wrong with the service, but the food and the prices for it was terrible. The carbonara is completely not like a carbonara should be and tasted bland and had more cream in it than eggs. The pizza was also bad and tasted like it was shop bought. Prices for everything are also not worth it, starters and sides for £6-9 is overpriced in my opinion.

Visited last night with a group of work colleagues/friends.. from the moment we arrived, until the moment we left the staff were polite, smiley and generally lovely.... The food was excellent, nice and hot and very tasty... Thankyou everything was A++++++

The sauces were delicious, the only fault was the aubergine in my melanzane had slices with all skin on, I cut the m off, but the sauce was so tasty, service great. The house red was good tasting. Will definitely go back. They have upped their game a lot.

A delicious meal in a light and modern, but relaxed and cosy atmosphere. There were three vegetarian's in our party, and we all had delicious and nicely presented food (the mushroom & blue risotto; the vegan meatballs; and the mushroom ravioli). All of us chose the chocolate brownie for dessert and they were heavenly too. The latte to finish was rated as "the best they'd had in ages", by one of our party. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The meals were very reasonably priced too. We'll definitely come back here the next time we visit Buckingham. Thank you.

Food was delicious, great choice and their gluten free menu is excellent. A brilliant place if you are Coeliac. The staff are friendly and efficient. Children are made to feel really welcome. Our 6 year old granddaughter loves going. Highly recommend this lovely place.

Went here Saturday 20th January as we were staying in Buckingham. From the moment we entered we were made to feel very welcome and were seated on a cosy table at the window. We has Starters of Carciofo and Asparagi al Proscuitto. We did share a little of each others and both were delicious. For Main we had Fusilli Rustici and the Polpette Al Forno and again shared a little and agreed we would have loved each others as much as our own choice. Nearly stuffed, we did manage to share a Cheesecake Desert. We really enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere and you just had the feeling we could have ordered anything on the menu and it would would have been a tasty pleasure.

I’ve been here twice in one week and had amazing experiences both times. The staff are very lovely and the food was wonderful. The menu all looks delicious and the atmosphere is really sweet. Will definitely be going again, really recommend to anyone.

Amazing spot in the middle of town. They have a 2 course lunch special with great choice. First time having lunch but been there for dinner. Reservations are always a must. Great service and one of the best pizza's

Popped in for a quick lunch and we both had the Pumpkin Gnocchi in a nduja and gorgonzola sauce from the specials board. It was excellent.

Visited late lunch. Food was amazing and staff very attentive and friendly. Only reason for 3 rating on food is the menu choices being a little limited across the food groups. Pasta and pizza while lovely dont reflect italy as this place clearly can for what they do offer. More meat fish side and sauce choices would make prego a stunning foodie staple. Otherwise great place to visit and reasonably priced.

The pizza quality is about as bad as fast food. Once you get the food, you won't see the waiter again. When you ask for the bill, they bring it but disappear not understanding that you actually want to pay.

Good location on the high street. Early evening visit. Only one other table occupied on Sunday but it was very clear that we had to be out in 90 minutes to clear the table. Food (pasta) was of a lovely hot temperature but reasonably average and quite expensive for what it was at £30 per head with soft drinks including the automatically added service charge of 10%. Service was pleasant but server forgot a drink and disappeared around the back so we had to sit there and wait to remind her, by which time we had eaten our meal. Unlikely to return.

Worst Italian food that I ever had , the calamari tested of plastic and the pizza like a fried pastry. Very disappointed

We were at silverstone for the day and decided to stay over and have some food. I had looked at the comments from previous diners and thought we would give it a go as it seemed very highly rated. I will begin that I am Italian and this food has nothing to do with a normal Italian restaurant. The calmarmi were deep fried and were of very poor quality. They wasn’t fresh and not to sure where they got them from but were awful. If you check the pictures and you have had fresh calmarmi you will know what I mean. The pizza wasn’t at all made with fresh dough as it was a perfect round shape so this also was a pre-made base and the toppings were no better. No fresh mozzarella or anything else to be fair. Again check the foto’s I put the pizza upright and nothing came off it. It was all stuck together and I’ve personally had better frozen Gino pizzas than that. I thought it was also expensive for the quality they gave . Not Italian owned and it shows Very poor and wouldn’t recommend 👎🏻

Prego is our go pizza/Italian restaurant when we revisit buckingham. Great food, friendly staff and owners. While frustrating for us, who have a well-behaved dog, the restaurant does not allow dogs which we readily accept, mentioned for the benefit of others who may visit with a dog and then are disappointed

We were looked after very well, we ordered a range of foods from the menu but we all agreed that the food lacked 'taste'. My pizza was greasy and over cooked, my wife's fish was dry (over cooked). Generally quite expensive so we expected better .

Just everything was so bland , mushroom chicken was more like boiled chicken with water sauce and floating sad mushrooms. Service was amazing by kind Irish lady who had good sense of humour . The prawns in my pasta tasted fishy , and this morning I have been bed bound with stomach cramps. The pizza was god aweful, soggy as hell and I would not be surprised if 80% of the ingredients or more are frozen. Was just not worth £250 for five people .

Ordered the Prego Burger, meat had barely any flavour. Otherwise all ok, nice service and ambiance.

With family or friends, take away, delivery or in eat in, well worth an order. Always check out the specials, won’t fail to disappoint. Best food in Buckingham 👊🏻

Cosy intimate Italian with great food and wonderful staff. Reasonably priced for the area. On a hot day it gets stuffy and warm quickly. There's an AC unit but it's right over one of the tables!

Came here on a weekday evening with little-me for dinner after visiting RLS open day. We had dough balls, a Vesuvius pizza, and Chicken blu. Food was excellent, so much so we had dessert too. I always ask an Italian restaurant if they make their own tiramisu as a mark of quality and theirs was delightful! The cookie dough cheesecake was equally delicious. All that and drinks £60-70. Happily put this on the anniversary venue list too. A happy find.

Alright experience. Food was alright however the presentation wasn’t great (the cannelloni had spilt and burned all down the side of the dish so didn’t look overly appealing and it tasted very salty). The staff were nice but not overly attentive. Took about 45 minutes for food to come which seemed like a long time for only 2 dishes.

Only a quick lunch. A step up from most Italian chains. Pizzas were really enjoyed, risotto was perfectly ok, sadly the salad was way over dressed. Nice choice of slightly more interesting soft drinks. Very loud Birthday party close by (not the restaurant’s fault but definitely impacted our enjoyment). Overall would go again, but probably not a special occasion place for me.

Excellent pizza with wonderful service! Came in on a last minute whim looking for food in Buckingham on a Sunday. Ended up having two pizzas to go and ate these in the park. Even got to enjoy half a pint whilst waiting- don’t get that in dominos! Came out so fresh and fast. Absolutely perfect and such good value.

We had a family get together for a birthday and had a fantastic time. The service was simply superb, catering for allergies (and small children foibles), nothing was too much bother. Food was lovely - creamy chicken and mushroom for me. Others had pizza, and the macaroni topped meatballs were raved about. We sat indoors, but the outside area is covered and warm. A locally owned and run place that deserves all the plaudits.

Food and service are great! Can't really fault it. They have a nice courtyard at the back, perfect for private parties or Al fresco dining in the spring and summer.

We've visited Prego many times whilst living locally (5 years) and have never had a negative experience until today. We ordered online for a delivery takeaway but the app didn't work correctly so we rang up the store to confirm our order had gone through successfully and they informed us that they weren't doing delivery today and we would have to collect after we had already paid a delivery fee which was not refunded, even after we had mentioned upon collection? Once we had returned home we also found that olives were missing from our meat antipasti which was disappointing again because it's only cured meats, olives, tomatoes, parmesan and leaves. The rest of the food however was tasty and hot.

Food was absolutely delicious and service was amazing, this place is busy so book a table! Several people were turned away at the door, it's fab to see an independent thriving.

Atmospheric restaurant with a reasonably varied menu. Good offers available on the lunch menu too. Service was courteous, although rather tardy, so not ideal if you are in a rush.

Couldn't praise this place enough. Being ceoliac, they had a very good gluten-free menu. The staff were amazing, the food was amazing. I left there one happy lady with my tummy full of yummy food.

Great place to eat and fab food

Went here for lunch 21 March. I had made an online reservation which worked out perfectly. We had the salmon special starter , pizza and spaghetti carabiara. The food was super tasty and served in a timely manner. The host was charming and we stayed for coffee and more drinks beyond our lunch. A fab and welcoming place we hope to return to again soon
