The best restaurants in Ashford South East

An excellent Christmas lunch with friends - I'd heard good reports about the cafe at Ripleys Garden Centre and it didn't let us down. Delicious food, perfect portions, well priced and friendly, efficient staff. Happy to recommend and will certainly return.

We went to celebrate a birthday, we were a party of eight with one member of our party Dairy free. Our meals were delicious the service was very good . Overall 10 out 10 we will definitely recommend and return .

Had a Saturday afternoon in the garden, sun was out and is a nice place to sit. Few beers and some lunch. Food is always good, staff are friendly and have a decent choice of drinks. It's a good community pub so well worth a visit.

I popped in by myself for a quiet afternoon drink or 2 and that is exactly what I had. It’s a lovely little pub, with a hidden garden that is off the main road. Service very friendly and welcoming and I’d certainly return if in the area.

I’ve been dining here for years now and I’m sad to say it’s lost its spark somewhat. At £100 per person I expect a bit more. Maybe it’s comparing to other restaurants like the Fordwich Arms and Hide and Fox, but The West House is now a couple of leagues below these I’m afraid. Most courses were fairly average and lacked flavour. The squid a bit rubbery, the pasta bland and the chicken dry. Red mullet quite nice. Best dish was without doubt the desert which was some kind of blood orange trifle with rhubarb compote which was delicious I have to say. Service was very good as always and timing great. Always very welcoming and polite, but sad to say the food was not what it used to be, maybe it’s due to a set menu nowadays to keep restaurant bills down. A real shame.

Lovely! Visited Montalbano without a booking, and the staff were SO helpful and accommodating in providing vegan-friendly dishes. Lovely to see an independent restaurant busy mid-week, clearly this is a popular spot :) Yummy food, yummy wine, wonderful service, thank you!

Visitors to tenterden for dinner Really loved this Italian restaurant Food and drinks were great and food was clearly proper homemade Italian stuff! Highly recommend , staff so friendly , limoncello on the house due to a birthday Unfortunately we had a very opinionated, extremely right wing man near us who had a loud voice

I live very close and use the chip shop regularly. I am extremely fussy so very hard to please. Always fresh and hot. Cod is amazing. My grandkids love the kids meals and we always get a free drink when i take them in with me. Friendly guys also.
