The best restaurants in South East

Went to Top diner for lunch, place had no atmosphere, felt very cold and clinical- all staff that we saw looked like they didn't want to be there! Food was way below average and very disappointing-i ordered a fish burger which was like lava- & was cold in the middle- I didn't tell the staff as all the food was disappointing. Definitely seems overpriced and underwhelming!

My husband used to use this fish & chip shop lot's when he worked in Totton. Today he went to buy us Fish, peas fritter & chips. They advertise you must wear masks but allowed pretty much all the customers in without. Lot's of school children bundling in and not socially distancing. No policing whatsoever. So if that experience wasn't bad enough the food was dreadful.. Slimy greasy fish and pea fritter & dried stale chips, we threw the whole lot away. It could be a one off?? It was school kicking out time so maybe there hadn't been the demand previously. Fish should be crispy and not a wet soggy batter!!!

Very popular local community pub on the Landport Estate in Lewes. We visited for a cards evening and the pub was very busy. Average selection of ales and not aware that they do evening food but they did provide sandwiches etc for the cards evening. If you want a good meal then you would be better placed eating elsewhere in the town as this is mainly a games/drinking pub.

After spending far too long in the near by museum, (the palmists had us hooked) we came out to all the food vendors finished and shut. BUT we were so lucky that all the wonderful staff at 3 Souls in a Bowl re opened to feed us all. We all had a fabulous meal freshly cooked and drinks brought to us from their VW !! We all had different dishes and not a scrap was left!!

Happened to be in Gillingham for the day. So we wandered down the tired high st looking for a morning snack. Then we saw this bakery with people queuing through the door waiting to be served. Always a good sign. So I ordered a hot savoury sausage which was delicious. We also bought 4 apple cream turnovers which we ate the next day because we had been busy travelling on the previous day. They were flipping awesome. The lady’s serving in the shop were super friendly so a really nice experience

My fiancé and I stumbled upon this business looking for some breakfast, having already been to the twisted lemon the night before. We were the first people there, so we were chatting with the staff while we were waiting on our drinks (who were all wonderful and attentive)! The tea was great, but the smoothie was fantastic, as was all the food! The eggs Benedict was perfectly cooked, hollandaise sauce was delicious, even the toast was lovely! I had a full English, and everything was cooked superbly, nothing on my plate was overlooked! Lastly we had a small bowl of hash brown bites, which were unbelievable, and were given as a freebie due to my order not being registered on the till (through no fault of their own). In short, a wonderful experience with wonderful food! Definitely recommend!

Never include chopsticks with your delivery! I have ordered from Panku Sushi six times now, and I love the Salmon Maki and Salmon & Avocado Roll. However, I have never received chopsticks. In the past, they didn’t include wasabi at all, but I have received wasabi, soy sauce, and ginger with four of my orders, which is fair! Today, however, I did not receive chopsticks (as usual), and this time there was no wasabi, soy sauce, or ginger included at all!

Popped in today not knowing what I wanted for lunch, was met by the most friendly man who made some great suggestions for me! Had a lovely chat, and the food was amazing, great value for money and very quick which is convenient for the lunch hour! Will certainly be coming back again and recommending to my colleagues too!

We use this cafe Monday to Friday for lunch as it is so good, the food is fresh and the staff are warm and welcoming especially Christine she always has a smile, the range of drinks is wide and varied and the prices are reasonable. What more could you want.

At least have the decency to contact customers that have paid on card and explain the reason behind the cancellation and your change of mind! Terrible customer service regardless of food is good you don’t accept an order take the money then cancel without a call to explain.

It’s a restaurant in the premier inn. Service as expected and food options as standard, burgers and pizzas etc. no draft alcohol only expensive bottles.

It was one of the best pizzas I've ever had! I wanted to try a different pizza place, and now it's my husband's first choice! Food always arrives hot and fresh, looking forward to trying other items on the menu.

Went with my family for coffee and frappes and cake for my disabled mother. We arrived at 16.20. 1 of children my wanted a chocolate frappes they said that did not have it so we ordered 2 tropical mango frappes 2 latte’s and 2 pieces of carrot cake and a strawberry vanilla cake. I was told that they closed at 17,00 so could not have. Our coffees in a cup and cakes on a plate only in paper bag i feel they were to-eager to get out rather than Too serve busy to get out at 17.00. Do I was extremely upset as my disabled mother could not have her coffee and cakes what a disgrace considering it was only 16.25

The home made cakes are gorgeous and the service is brilliant. They're so friendly and helpful as I'm disabled.
